Imagine trying to get away with right-clicking Agent 47.
So fast
Now we need to rob castify 😂
Bless you dbrand
Casetify products are super expensive as well
Amazing! Lol
"Theft is theft and thieves steal" should be your new easter egg from now on.
Lol
Imagine, them copying that as well
"Theft is theft and thieves thieve"
This video has got to be the most polite middle finger to anyone ever, let alone a billion dollar company. Godspeed Jerry
It's informing us of the copyright infringement, and also a 13 minute ad for D-Brand's cases. Win-win.
His name is Zach
You don’t become a billion dollar company without screwing people over
I mean he did throw one down at 5:01 😂
I don't see this as a middle finger to everyone ever existed.
They may be a $ Billion company, but they are up against a man with an immense online support. Go get them, the community is behind you!
They will settle out of court if at all. They already made their money off the theft and will just continue to do it.
Millionaires robbing millionaires. Rich people's problems.@zack9912000
@Napertif it doesn't mean jackshit, then you're probably living under the rock. Yeah, in the law it isn't, but this video will raise the awareness about this company, so more people would stop buying their products, meaning less income, meaning a hit to the wallet, etc
%100
Money trumps all
Probably the most calm person after getting robbed
When you've already sent the lawyers all the receipts they need to take Casetify to the cleaners, you can bask in the calm before the storm.
He's calm because he knows he's about to become unbelievably rich from the lawsuit.
@ExtremePanda2 He already is much more wealthy than the average person, and he obviously doesn't care.
@JaySilva88 yep, I know. But now he's going to become stupidly rich.
He's so calm because he knows he has Casetify's theft dead-t-o-rights.
The fact that if he wins the lawsuit, he's investing the money in helping even more people who really need it.
Respect level over 9000!
yes but he will definitely build a production facility for his vehicle that he is been selling, It's a win win
Why not 10,000?
Why 9000 haha
@_Gundy_Dragonball “His power level is over 9000” reference
@Saidifect Dragonball “His power level is over 9000” reference
What ever happened with all of this?
Update: The dbrand vs. Casetify lawsuit, filed in late 2023 over alleged copying of dbrand's "Teardown" designs, is an ongoing legal battle with recent court filings from early 2024 indicating discovery and scheduling phases, with Casetify denying plagiarism and pointing to brand partners, while dbrand seeks substantial damages. Casetify removed the disputed products but claims originality and has filed a counterclaim, setting the stage for court proceedings to determine intellectual property infringement.
counterclaim? Bro...
@BeanieK1 right? The audacity, hope they lose so much money doing pulling that bullshit
"originality"
What kind of fantasy land are they stuck in?
@BeanieK1they’re just trying to minimize the amount of the settlement they’re eventually gonna have to give into
This will go down as the most professional and well put together call out of all time. Well done.
True, in history! Period!

After watching this video, it is evident that Casetify will experience a significant surge in traffic on website , and some of these visitors may convert into sales. I suspect that there might be a secret collaboration between D-Brand, Jerry, and Casetify.
Upon viewing the video, I promptly visited Casetify's website and ordered two cases.
Jerry is angry but still maintains the calm voice we are all used to. 😅
that just makes me even more scared and im not even in trouble. its ike when you did something wrong and your dad just calmly talks to you and you know youre in trouble but hes not showing anger and now youre scared
Yea! I fell asleep pissed
Scary! 😂
which is just terrifying.
Yeah but Agent 47 does night work 😂 All legal of course.
Map makers used to call this a trap street. They would add an imaginary street into their maps and if the map was copied illegally, they would have copied the trap street as well. Similar to the signature easter eggs you included in your designs. Great work!
When Google Maps used to rely on TeleAtlas data, they got hit by this (TeleAtlas, and therefore, Google); several map companies had their data illegally copied by TA and then used by Google. Google always took action when notified, but still...
Map makers and dictionary publishers have all done this in the past. Any time the data set is too big to manually verify it's done to trap those that copy... Long may it continue I say...
This is so interesting to me cuz ive never heard of trap streets but i HAVE heard of something called "Paper Towns" which basically have the exact same function!
Not all map makers actually, those works with government are obligated to never ever make any change than what's in the real world.
Man, literally learned something new today!!!
"As of September 2025, the case remains ongoing, with active discovery disputes, motions to compel, sanctions, and document sealing, but no final judgment or settlement has been reached."
this is SAD...
this case is pushing 2 years… i feel like its a bit more obvious who is right and wrong
justice system isn’t just slow. but corrupt. castify is probably tipping off judges to push their case further till it’s forgotten about
Insane
Dbrand deserved it
Funny story: I work at Best Buy and every time I see a customer looking at Casetify products I give them a quick version of this story and steer them to another brand...
Not all heroes wear capes 🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
As an IP attorney I find this hilarious!!! The complaint practically writes itself. Love how they didn’t realize Easter eggs weren’t actually on the devices. Also, the forensic work you and Dbrand did to prove this up is most excellent!!
I’ve never been tempted to buy Dbrand but I just purchased a few of these. Fight the good fight!
They noticed some of the obvious ones which according Zack & I'm betting those were purposely placed & made obvious to throw off any would be thieves of the hidden ones.
kind of makes you wonder why there is nothing on the docket ...
I'm not an IP attorney, but I guess the fact that they tried to replace some of the Easter eggs could weigh in the balance to prove they knew they are copying and stole dbrand/JRE designs.
Summary judgement win in the future
God.., if they are doing this to you, they are 100% doing it to other people as well…
@dertythegrower … how on earth am I a bot, just asking…
the @seed channel was hacked, there is an archive of the channel page and it was called "melissalwin" or something back then
if you get your products made in china, this is extremely common
Indeed says a lot about the internal culture of that company
They have, small creators have been getting ripped off for years
Robbing Jerry is the equivalent of getting a hitman stalk you
Lol
@@JoshOprayNY He wouldn't know. He joined YT just 8 months ago, subbed to every popular channel and posts his 50c on every new video, often without knowing the channel history or running and inside jokes.
Therefore his comments are rarely of any substance.
Mostly lame dad jokes.
yes
@@JoshOprayNY😅 damn
@PushyPawnhe's also a spam bot btw.
I wonder how this is going
same imagine he replies too
Case is still ongoing
@dailydankdose No way it's still ongoing, isn't this very obvious theft?
@lytom. Corporate things
@lytom. As of September 2025, the case remains ongoing, with active discovery disputes, motions to compel, sanctions, and document sealing, but no final judgment or settlement has been reached.
Don’t settle out of court. These big companies need to know they can’t get away with this.
Yes! There are litigation funds that will bank roll lawsuits in exchange for a portion of the wins.
They are a based out of hong kong. The lawsuit won't matter. China does not care about our copyright laws
Casetify should be paying the legal fees
@@zakirsiddiqui1Why would he have to pay their legal fees? WTF are you on about?
@zakirsiddiqui1 what are you talking about. Was that an attempt at a profound thought?
Seems like an open and shut case to me. That was ingenious to put easter eggs on them so obscure that no one would be able to tell.
Reminds me of the special Semi collins some of the Lyric websites used to catch Google copying their shit of Google old Lyric search feature they had.
This is part of the reason why I love inside jokes and easter eggs in products. It's also a fingerprint. I know in the auto industry there's a growing trend to add them to windshields and official parts so that way owners can also spot aftermarket replacement parts.
@scott8919 Toyota has an etched 2D(an industrial version of a QR code) on all their parts that, internally, can tell you who touch that part practically every step of the manufacturing process.
Google has streets, towns, mountains etc added to prevent direct copies for this exact reason
old paper map companies used to add phantom streets so they could call out their competitors for stealing their maps, exactly the same way DBrand figured this one out.
Fun fact: this is how map makers figure out who’s just copying their maps vs making their own. They usually add fake towns as their own little easter eggs and if they find those towns on someone else’s map it means they copied theirs.
Glad to see you unintentionally had your own “fake towns” to call out casetify. Really hoping this will end up in a big fine/settlement + a crap load of bad PR for them.
dictionary makers did this too with fake words
Aka watermarks.
Poor people who decide to explore those fake towns.
@chrisray1567 no...Paper Towns. it isn't a watermark, its a town on a map that is not there in real live "Sarcastic Loser Montana" in small print so if another map maker stole the map and reprinted it the copied map would have "Sarcastic Loser Montana" and the real map maker would know- this is my stolen map. it has nothing to do with Watermarks.
incorrect, its a form of watermark. the function of a fake town and a watermark is to determine if something has been stolen. it is absolutely related to watermarks, one could easily argue directly and indirectly. @dymetex6360
You know after a year now, coming back to this video I'm realizing your skins would actually be amazing for people with clear cases. Some of my cousins have them and I'm going to buy them your skins. Thanks for the effort. Love that you stand up against large corps that steal and scam. Most companies end up doing it one way or another. Its a matter of time.
This isn't the 1st time they've done it. Many small creators have called them out before for stealing small creator's design. Unfortunately, those small creators don't have the resource to take action. Glad you and DBrand are standing up
Hope Dbrand finds out about this too to help out those small creators
I've heard that too but Casetify doesn't care about it. 🤷🏽♀ Shame on them.
i would donate to f with them
Oddly enough, this feels like it's going to be a long trial. Not because of the judgement but because of trying to get all the other people they have stolen from
At the end of the day, why am I not surprised another big company is getting success off the backs of the regular guy
oohh this has the potential to become a class-action lawsuit
I 100% expected this to be a "Someone Broke into my House" type of situation. Not " A Billion Dollar Company ripped off my Designs" deal. Crazy situation, but I'm glad you're safe. Happy Thanksgiving to all in the U.S. and happy Thursday afternoon to everyone else.
Half past 9 in the evening over here😉
@schmidt-dc3jwgood night and good sleep sir
TBF, Zack is a beast of a man and his house has like 3 or 4 cameras, that would be a special kind of bad move to try to break in
@schmidt-dc3jw10 nach 10 hier🙂
@tommyvercetti1827this
Stealing from Jerry is the biggest mistake they made. Now Jerry's gonna rig them up
Zack
his name is Zack
He won't be able to do much about it outside of the US. This is very common from Chinese manufacturing
@zack9912000 casetify is from hong kong where the "usual" copyright laws apply
@Thesillyfopsit’s cuz of „Jerry RIG…“, „RIG them up“.
the joke is supposed to hit more
atleast i think that! :)
1 and a half years later, the case is still active, 24 hours after the law suit was filed they removed all the cases the teardown ones, and claimed "Our ‘Inside Out’ designs were created in-house and not copied from anyone. Any similarities are purely coincidental. We’ve launched an internal investigation." what a bunch of a-holes, straight lies not even a good one at that, im glad they got DDoS'd.
Taking a 1b company to court with such a slam-dunk of a case is like winning the lottery. I'm very happy for you Zach and db! Hope you get a lot out of it
Knowing the awfully convoluted way in which the legal system operates in cases like these, I wouldn't hold my hopes too high
Like holding the winning lottery ticket but having to swim the 100m freestyle through a pool of molasses to claim it.
man these comments are on point
You do realize Casetify is a chinese company right which probably means their copyright laws aren't any where like the us
@defyinghistory9807 If it's Chinese then that explains everything. It's a part of Chinese culture to cheat and deceive. That's not even a joke or an exaggeration!
I doubt this will ever even make it to trial. There's just too much evidence against them. Odds are they'll want to settle or the judge will just call it. When that happens, you should take a scan of the summary judgment and make a phone skin out of it.
Hehehe, this is good! 😂
That's so cool lmao 😂
Now do a redacted version with some easter eggs and watch them steal your idea again 🤣
OH NAH
Hahaha love that.. a skin of the settlement/judgement haha
What you've done with those easter eggs is actually an extremely old form of copyright protection. Map makers used to intentionally do the same thing in their maps to stop rival map makers from copying them and could take them to court and point out those same easter eggs. Kinda cool! It theoretically SHOULD still work in your own defense I think..
Programmers will do the same thing with their code, too. Companies will sometimes ask for a demo of a program and copy it to avoid paying the programmer, so including an Easter egg like that is a great way to win a lawsuit.
That is very interesting. Yeah since no ones gonna make the exact same, it makes it very original. I got to remember this xD
@josephhenderson2538it’s different with something you have created by yourself from the ground up instead of editing something that already exists.
Yep. "Paper Street".
That's what easter eggs have always been for from the beginning of art, it amazes me that fanboys and girls think they are for them like some kind of inside joke they're in on.
Supporting you 100% on this case 👏👏
Ello mate!
I see what you did there
Don’t worry I gotchu
Did you put your sunglasses on before you said that ?
Yo i love your videos!
Whatever lawyer suggested that you add the Easter eggs really earned their retainer. This technique is exactly what map publishers do-they add a little town here, add a street there, to prove copyright violations. Go get them, Zach!
This is actually something older than you expect. Maps used to do it add an extra town here and there that doesn't exist) so anyone that copies would tell on themselves. Phone Books also did the same - adding people and numbers that don't exist - for much the same reason.
@Gulyus How odd, for you to reply to my comment with exactly the same point that I made. Are you doing some kind of weird meta-plagiarism due to the subject matter?
@victor-charlesscafatiit’s not the same point - you said that map publishers DO that kind of stuff, he said they USED to do it long before. And he also added phone book case (pun intended). So you are trying to be funny but you’re not :)
@victor-charlesscafatino you're just misreading lmao
@victor-charlesscafati chill dude
This is a branding masterclass. Dude destroyed the copycats and launched a killer product in one swing. Mad admiration for you my man.
2 bad that swing was a miss
I mean it would be good if he didn't have an accusation of touching his neice
@NeoReaper82what's the outcome?
@Chris_t0anything to back that claim? Getting sick and tired of hearing about baseless accusations, from people just trying to ruin someones life...
True, this is state of the art marketing, though not primarily for a product but rather for an action
Still faszinating though
12:03 its not about the money its about THE METS LETS GO
They lost 😂
100% proved they stole, embarrassed them, announced lawsuit, AND dropped a new product knowing this would go viral. BOSS. LEVEL. MOVES.
Also casetify took down the inside out brand that they were touting.
This video was incredibly well done.
Yes
So well done that casetify is probably gonna steal it.
I love his videos he rocks
Facts
Well this is a bit of a surprise. Didn't expect to see you here, lol. What's up Fonz? Or Gabe, whoever runs the channel lol.
I had a clothing logo and designs stolen by an international clothing company which i had trade marked officially at the IPO . Unfortunately the legal costs always put the larger business at a massive advantage. As a small producer, I was unable to afford the legal costs to fight even though I had a high chance of winning. Even then, just trying to be amicable and get an acknowledgement or credit for the design, I was ignored. I’m 100% behind you Jerry, do it for the small guys.
westvirginiaglutenfreepepp7006 From England, UK. Thanks for advice though
Rip
Zack*
Some law firm will take your case for free and take money when they win the case and cut percentage off the paid settlement
What logo/company
Fun trivia: Some map companies would include small inaccuracies in some of their maps so they could prove it in court when they claimed their maps had been copied by others.
Paper towns
Jerry also teaches a secret lesson:
If you're going to create something, add a very small, almost unnoticeable touch to it, in case you need to have a case. Brilliant.
Put something in the case just in case you need to have a case involving another case.
Case closed! 😄
Point in case
Like the fake map locations cartographers used too put in for the same reason
Yes! imagine being stupid enough to steal an image and not edit those parts out. they are toast.
I had a feeling that the Easter eggs were gonna be the way they got caught but I just couldn’t believe a company would be that stupid. Someone’s definitely getting fired over at Casetify.
They’re a Chinese company, they literally don’t care about anyone else’s IP and are fine with being thieves
The one person who got fired is obviously not the main culprit but some unfortunate "new guy" as their black sheep.
Could have very likely been their designer. A lot of overseas designers prioritise speed over morals and authenticity, ripping off stuff from Google images or competitors.
when your classmate copies your answers and your name...
Considering where Casetify is headquartered, it's unlikely that they care.
Casetify finally got what was coming to them. All these years of easter eggs adding up to proof of stealing is insane.
nothing will happen to them. This is so common in China manufacturing its accepted practice there.
@zack9912000you say nothing will happen, but Jerry Rig has a massive online following, and this news will spread like wildfire, so even if Castify don’t lose in court, they will lose their entire reputation and brand image will be destroyed. That will be a death sentence for the company
@zack9912000 yeah they will just pay few millions and keep doing it , its same with their mobile games its worth it to pay millions in lawsuits and keep your game up and just change the name than to stop stealing and invest yourself .
@Tetrathegod or they’ll “go out of business” and suddenly reappear with a different name, rinse and repeat
The money will help anyways
Its not just a phone case. Its now a legal case
You explained this situation pretty well in my opinion. I'm sorry you have to go through all this, but I'm glad to see you're putting your foot down.
Hey! How are you.
Remember when you almost died in the oceangate sub?
i love your videos!
Such a solid case

Jerry literally did all of the work that a lawyer would have to do. If this video is played to a jury I don’t see how this doesn’t end up in a massive settlement for Jerry and Dbrand
mainly because they have a huge team of lawyers which will come up with all kind of bs to slow down the process and make this lawsuit as expensive and as slow as possible
You mean for... Zack? :P
Because Jerry is not his name ;)
Zack winds up owning casetify. lol
@pksindias the design wasn't 100% taken from what's actually on the inside. Did you not watch the video?
@pksindiaslooks like you commented first before watching video.
They did it to me a long time ago, they sadly ended destroying my business as I didn’t have enough money for either a lawyer or anything else …. So back then it costed me a business I worked hard for and I’m very happy that you’re doing something about it now…. It hurt me a lot back then, so please bring the pain back to them! 🙏🏼💪🏼
i am so sorry for your loss hopefully jerry can avenge you
If you have any evidence left consider taking this to court. This case will be enough to establish a pattern of behavior on "their" products. It could be much easier to succeed with a lawsuit now that they are proven to have copied other brands now.
I think it would help the lawsuit that Jerry started if you joined forces by combining the evidence you have, as the previous comments said it would help to create a kind of pattern.
Seriously if you have something it will help the case
Echoing what others have said above. If you have evidence, join forces with Zack.
I remember when i first started seeing you on RUclips quite some time ago and look how far you have came. It's pretty inspirational to see all the interesting videos over the years, and hope everything stays okay for you and family and friends. I know this video i have seen before, and sorry about all this happening, hopefully it's going your way. Just wanted to wish you the best, and thanks for sharing.
Bought a case to support your work. Go get ‘em!
I see you again in the wild love your videos
Dude Jaeger is so sick
Jagger pls shot me
YUP THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS FOR TO CRY AND GET MORE SLES AND INTRODUCE A NEW CASE. You fell for it.
Sup, Jaeger. Love your vids.
I like how calm your reaction is no matter what the situations are
You crazy? This is as close to hopping mad as Zack gets.
of course he had a different reaction when he FIRST noticed that theft
This is the expected reaction of someone who do things the right way and has nothing to be afraid of =) pure honesty
when he lowers his voice and shouts out that casetify will “probably just right click and save”
is probably the most scary calm-mad ive seen him i’d feel frightened
Zack is the GOAT
Man, you really went into EXCRUCIATING detail while making those cases. Respect and you will 100% win this lawsuit
It’s not as sure as it should be. Depends who has better lawyers.
10'000h?? 🤣🤣If you want to make money with a cover photo that the Chinese had 15 years ago.
@erg7732 A better lawyer would know that it’s a complete loss for casetify from the get go.
If he has copyrighted the design, I have a hard time seeing how they would loose, even if the laywer is a literal donkey, they just have to show the image and ask the company to explain how these details ended up on their products.
So unless the judge is like a complete idiot/bribed, they can’t loose. The only real defense I see would be to blame the employees, arguing that they have been tricked by whoever actually designed these. But hopefully Legal eagle will do a video on this soon :D
@emmeld.3973he'd loose more money going to court, than to just ignore them
Someone really went all out with SponsorBlock on this one, I've never seen such an intense segmentation 😂
How this dude remains stone cold polite while delivering nuclear-category slams on the douchebag company is amazing and worthy of a tremendous amount of respect!
Lmaoo nuclear-category slams 😂 Good one
When you have facts and evidence to back it up you can always stay cool as a cucumber. Lol
I think he's an AI.
There's probably a Cold Stone Steve Austin under that calm demeanor.
I mean it's a Chinese company so it's no big shock that it's just a cheap knock off of a legit company.
This must be the calmest and yet most overwhelming brutal callout I've ever encountered.
Im so here for this.
He's got f you money. He doesn't care either way.
@neemanon And he is going to get more money after this.
@tqlla ok

Safer then, to sit thousands of kilometers away, and right-clicking images to steal them… 😄
I was like no! the hummer!!
F*ck robs a guy that look like he is about to snap your neck while giving a calm quote like "Bone is bone and bones break"
It's a calculated business decision. Save a hundred grand on R&D. Lose a $250,000 lawsuit. Make 3 million in profit.
It's so funny and satisfying that they were caught red-handed because of the easter eggs you left in your designs. I thought these things only happened in movies lol

Do the XRays have Easter eggs?
Not a subscriber and no idea why the algorithm showed this to me… but your cases are amazing and I’m sorry to hear you’re being ripped off! Go get’em!!
Same
Same.
Sadly, I think the society doesn't care if the product is stolen or not. There are lots of videos supporting buying fake Samsung/Apple/.... without caring that they just supported stealing 10000 hours of work.
I encourage you to watch some of his tear down videos. I was recommended of the iPhone 15 one recently and was genuinely surprised of the quality in his work and videos. Truly an amazing channel.
It's a sticker, not a case.
They copied a sticker.
You can take a picture of the inside of your phone, print it on a sticker background and you've stolen his product 😄
@AquarianNomadic
Wrong, JerryRig and Dbrand own the rights to "their exact image" that they created. If you take a pic with your phone it's not the same image. Just an image of the same product. He literally explained and showed how they are exact copies, just of terrible quality.
5:03 A subtle swear? Love it
I was looking for a case for my AirPods Pro’s today and almost purchased a Casetify one until I remembered how they ripped you off. Shady business shady people, they won’t get my money!
So glad you and Dbrand are standing up for yourselves. There’s no telling who else they’ve stolen cases from.
ifixit for example
Just check where they're from. This is the way they do everything in that part of the world.
I've seen a lot of ads for anime specific "inspired" cases that are just stolen designs from actual artists.
Many of them aren't in the position to launch a lawsuit, so they get away with it, basically.
By what I said earlier I did not mean the cases but the corporations.
I’m used to DBrand having lawsuits filed *against* them, so this is a nice change of pace.
Can I get more info on this?
With all that experience and an army of lawyers they are surely ready to file one of their own
@OneSlowCbr Sony didn’t like them making the playstation dark plates. They sent cease and desist.
@OneSlowCbrthey have been sued multiple times for copying the shape and texture of the products they skin.
A prime example was the PS5 darkplates dbrand sold. Sony sued them for the triangle, square, circle, and X texture embedded in the darkplates.
@nathanielhill8156 upvoted, but i mean it's different copying the iconic rectangles, circles and triangles of sony which have been known for 2 decades and sony being a multibillion dollar company at this point (?) and different copying from Jerry and DBrant inside jokes and easter eggs and the design and work they've put themselves for many days or months.
As an amb. wheelchair user thank you for what you're doing. Wheelchairs are so expensive and inaccessible to a lot who need them. You're doing amazing work.
Only in dystopian hellscapes where people have to pay for them, themselves. A functioning social safety net and a medical system will take care of that cost for you. I hear my "american" readers all chime in: "But i don't want to pay for someone elses health care"... Imagine what purchasing health insurance does.. It sure doesn't cover your health care for as long as you have to suffer heavy copays... What it actually does, is PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSES HEALTH CARE..
@eidodk Agreed! It's disgusting. I know a person in my group who is actually paralyzed from the waist down but insurance won't cover a chair. This should never happen. America is hell for those of us who are poor, disabled, etc.
@eidodk Yeah. Health insurance is done incorrectly here, you're completely correct. But I also don't want to pay for anyone else's healthcare. The problem is healthcare was cheaper, it was more affordable. But once the government got involved HOSPITALS started charging A SHITTONNE to make double the profit. Before Obamacare, the only thing that was tough to get was surgery. But at least you weren't taking out what student loans are for that.
@StephenFasciani You're part of the problem though. The notion of "not wanting to pay for someone elses healthcare" is exactly what's wrong with the US. That's the quintessential idea of what taxes are for - SERVICES RENDERED TO THE PEOPLE PAID FOR BY THE PEOPLE. The US is such a fearful place, you spend the taxes on the millitary instead.
The best evidence for it being a fearful place, is that homeowners thinks they need guns to protect themselves - That is ONLY an issue in places where the country is at war with itself.
The problem was NEVER the hospitals, it was the insurance companies. The "free competition" between insurance companies is what has created the hellscape. It's now an insurance INDUSTRY, with billions and other billions of revenue for stock holders. A state controlled health industry would be a zero sum industry, in which the ONLY thing that is necessary, is to balance the budgets. If $10 goes out, $10 has to go in.
Until your country starts thinking more like a group, than a country of individuals, it will only get worse.
@sys-administratorAnd that is exactly wrong. You call the WMO Helpdesk, and put in an application. Sure - you'll not get a free pick on all shelves of wheelchairs, but if you can show a specific need for a specific model, it would likely be provided for you.
Any update on this??
still ongoing as of July 22nd
It's still ongoing as of September 13th 2025
Thanks !
They've removed the product line, this is such an open and shut _case_ that they will want to settle out of court very soon.
They wiped it off all of their socials aswell lol
haha, hilarious!!
this just says "yup, we fucked up" :D
That's what I'm expecting.
literal jackpot
This is so gross, embarrassed to own a Casetify case now.. sending it back and buying the new dbrand x-ray case.
Don't produce waste that no one asked for
Please send the case back and ask a refund. And link them this video.
Haha good point @IanScottJohnston
Yup.. you've already spent your money. Casetify has your money. Return it! And call them out for the theives that they are
@FeintMotionyet you are producing waste nobody asked for lol. Dont be ‘that’ guy
Zach seems like a super nice guy and a chill dude who turns into the most calculating person who would ruin your entire livelihood if you did something like this to him.
Now you know why dBrand referenced Hitman. The layers to that one simple statement are very deep.
This is the first time I realized his name is not Jerry. :D
Fear the quiet nice guy. He will destroy your world, and have you thanking him for it.
demons run when a good man goes to war
Please update us Its been a year now.
Yep was thinking 🤔 the same thing?
Can't signed a non disclosure. Got a pay out
its still going on so he cant talk abt it
Prolly settled if there's no news
Imagine if you didn't have the sense of humor to sneak in the little easter eggs. Nobody would have been able to prove they didn't just copy the idea, rather than flat out steal your images. Excellent video as always.
they instantly had me see right through castify
pretty sure they did this to protect against this exact scenario. by adding Easter eggs it's easier to proof it's your IP
This very move has helped many a company in court, especially in program theft lawsuits.
camera thing too and low quality image proves it all
Companies publishing dictionaries and such do the same thing, they'll sneak in a few fake words they invented no one would ever notice, so if it shows up in another company's dictionary there's really no other explanation.
I just bought myself a teardown skin. Blatant thievery shouldn't go unpunished, so it's awesome to see you guys pursuing justice.
Thank you!!
@JerryRigEverythingI don't believe you that they stole it. Maybe they just think you're cool so added your easter eggs?
@karlsmith7016 that's the exact definition of stealing, Karl.
@karlsmith7016You should change your last name to Marx. It would be more fitting.
@darksu6947 nope
This is the single best callout video I've ever seen.
Not only did you accuse them, but you showed the proof, gave a hint to your methodology, and then finished it off by unveiling a new product line (with another little jab at them to boot). Well done. I hope you got @legaleagle to represent you guys! That'd make a great video collab.
it was like those videos that are visually pleasing to watch because they do some animation so perfect. I felt the same way watching this video
I hope he has an actual copyright attorney representing him. Maybe Leonard French.
Oh got no. Not Legal Eagle....they want to win...
WE NEED AN UPDATE!
I am absolutely stunned by the quality of this video. You've not only put so much work into the skins, but now into explaining the skins. Fantastic job. I hope those Casitefity guys get what they deserve. This case reminds me of low-level telephone scammers. Who would think.
Never owned a Casetify case and never used them as a sponsor on our channel. What stores are their cases sold in? I’d like to stop shopping there until their cases are removed from shelves.
They have their own stores that look exactly like Best Buy.
From what I've seen it's mostly online
They are sold online I know that and I know they are also on Amazon btw
W move
Hahaha! You should not go to China or India or Hong Kong either... Because local companies are selling both of their cases for like 60% discounts... You guys are fighting in USA lol we are getting the same for very less
this is why easter eggs are the greatest thing a creator can have
Something about Zack's calm nature, thoroughness of the degree of theft verification, and expression of his principles makes this video even better. Take it deep, billion dollar bullies.
It's honestly a bit scary. Just sayin'.
@_mnejingright? The part where he suits up and grabs his shotgun to go drive to Casetify HQ was obviously cut off the end of the vid.
Zack is a legend! He literally just did a Teardown video of Casetify's crooked ethics while simultaneously publicly serving them with a lawsuit on Thanksgiving day! 😂 I hope you guys win! You 100% have my support!
That should be the title of the video 😂
Blud’s name is Zack and not Jerry bruv. But agreed, Zack’s a legend!
@varunmakhija6946 Thanks for the clarification! Fixed! 😁
Zack - Thank you for your good work.
There are creeps out there that just want to make a quick buck and don’t give a dam about the hard work that hast to be done.
You’re a fabulous man.
"Here's my thanks, and some giving...a lawsuit!"🤣
I saw DBrand's tweet thread about, this isn't just theft its embarrassing.
I hope you win and Casetify reap what they've sewed.
Sown
Sowed would be the right spelling in that context, and I 100% agree with you
OK but like... how much reaping are we talking here? How much money are they trying to get?
Overpriced crap quality cases
@johnmay9598 to get a ballpark answer you would have to ask a lawyer who specializes in copyright law. It depends on how many labor hours have been determined to have been stolen and how many sales Casetify stole from dbrand by releasing this product.
update? "theft isn't cool!"
I'm an X-ray tech, and that is absolutely what we see when a patient leaves their phone in their pocket. I need to get one!
I love how you picked up all their products only to throw them off the table again 😂. Good on ya, man. Thieves suck.
`thieves really suck.
yeah i agree. sure things get imitated alot in china or hk but to steal other ppls design and not even changing is scummy.. i hope they get lawsuits that cost them more than they can make it hurts them where it should, costing them $
Such a shame that a HUGE corporate like Casetify is stealing designs and even making such low quality copies of it. Hope you win the lawsuit Zack! Justice will prevail ⚖️
Definitely
Disgraceful plagiarism
The sponsor block timeline is crazy.
Everyone who's knowing you from the beginning of the channel, knows the kind of a person you are and knows that you put 100% of humanity in your work. So we got your back Bro. If there is anything we can do to help the situation, let as know. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷.
How is everyone who is knowing you from the beginning of the channel?
@cameronbateau6510 he probably meant this channel is 11 years old and has a fan base who has been seeing JR dismantling hardwares and working hard.
I didn’t realize how much work went into those skins. Thanks for sharing. Destroy corruption by exposing it.
You destroy corruption by, Destroying it.
Factories, leveled.
Staff, Jailed.
Board and CEOs, Warcrime'd
It's pathetic how a BILLION DOLLAR company is stealing designs and making it look worse in the process. Thank god i have never bought a case from casetify, because id be ashamed of myself rn. Props to you Jerry and to dbrand for calling them out and acutally suing them and not only doing a video about it! I hope all goes well for you and dbrand and that justice will be served!
They're like Apple and Disney. They think that they are too big to fall, which is a dumb phrase on its own, because the tale of David vs Goliath literally shows that, with enough conviction and ingenuity, even a giant can be felled.
How did you think they become a billion dollar company? By sinking precious sheckels into actually putting effort?
It's how they become billionaires. Very very very few billionaires are honest.
@_BangDroid_you misspelled 'none'
@danielm.595what did apple do lmao? They aren’t even comparable to Disney
Two years later and I still refuse to buy anything Castify, if they did this once who’s to say they haven’t done it again or won’t do it again?
The fact that if he wins the lawsuit, he's investing the money in helping even more people who really need it.
Respect level over 9000! ❤
Edit: Thank you for 490 likes!
It's not about the money though is it? As he quotes several times... even though that money is going into a firm he owns.
👍
@imXvinity How did you find me here? 😱😱😭
@SwiftlyYTT Check your closet
@imXvinity ayo, wdym by that? 🤔
Hope this goes viral and gets resolved quickly…
I'd be shocked if this doesn't spread. All the tech youtubers will probably mention it at some point this week.
@PhilAndOr Linus partners with JRE on their knives, so id bet theyll mention this on wan show tomorrow and that gets millions of views a week.
already went viral :)
I wonder if any tech youtubers are sponsored by casetify
@StretchDattassand they also do a lot with dbrand. So they work with both of them. For sure in WAN tomorrow
I've never gotten one of your skins before, but I will now. You're an awesome human to turn this mess toward a good cause.
The fact they STILL are trying to sell the copied tear down skins is insane to me...
Fun fact, map makers/map companies add their own little things in the maps that a normal person would never see. But to a map maker it is their "signature" and they can prove that their maps were stolen and re-used by another company.
A lot of creative industries so this, lyric sites and dictionarys are the two that spring immediately to mind
This reminds me of the way maps used to be “copyrighted” by sneaking in some towns and islands that didn’t exist as a copy-check. I hope all goes well with this, Zack. Cheers
I was thinking of paper towns also.
and Dictionaries have one made up word that does not exist in the english language, so that if another company decided to copy their words and make a rip-off dictionary they would know immediately.
Paper Streets. I first heard the term in Fight Club. Paper Street Soap Company.
Imagine the reason a town exists because someone tried to cover up the fact it didn’t. That would be wild
Just INSANE a company that massive would pull something like this 🤦♂
The penny pichers at the top probably said "Hey that's cool. We need a product line like that yesterday. Your budget is free.99"
is it though?
And another company has joined my "do not buy" list
I was in Best Buy yesterday and the Casetify cases were on a big display getting ready for Black Friday. Hope you win your lawsuit and get every penny of their sales!
Should have mentioned to the store manager that they were counterfeit cases
@vinylmodsmanitoba it was before I knew what was going on. Day before this video was released.
@vinylmodsmanitoba LOL right like the manager could give a ratz arse. Making a claim they are counterfeit is baseless until proven in court and setting yourself up for libel and slander, which is why the manager could care less what some mediocretube noob tells them
I love the part where he said "It's rigging time" and rigged all over Castify
I don’t know how you always stay so calm no matter what.
Kudos to you and best of luck.
Because raising your voice and throwing insults, curses and swearing gets nowhere.
JRE has millions of subscribers and with plenty of evidence. What's shown in this video is more than enough to be presented to court to sue their bottoms off.
Casetify is in big doo doo this time.
Because the most silent person in the room is the most powerfull. :)
Bcs he's Agent-47
he does seem triggered lol
Prolly Jesus 😂✝️
They stole all your hair!
Calling them out then pulling a boss move of launching x-ray is just crazy, props to you and your marketing team.
Well hard at work guys!
Dude did NOT hold back. Serious respect to you. I wish you luck with the lawsuit
Casteify already has removed from their store the ones they stole from you. Good work so far. Keep it up :)
Don’t believe Chinese company
@caniceso
Its a Hong Kong company with quite the operation in LA which sort of make them like a HK-US company.
This is just Capitalism at its finest, stealing and profiting, like they always do and has done for 300 years.
They’re preparing for the lawsuit with damage control. They will still lose much money when they lose the lawsuit. Over 117 designs were stolen, so I doubt they removed them all
So you are saying that they are fine, can’t sue a Chinese company.
Should have protected Hong Kong 😢
@RusticRonnie They can have all of their imports blocked and have assets seized. The company will either settle or not be able to do business in the US until they resolve the matter in court.
Anyone else get hit with this upload notification 2 years past the date posted?
"It's not about the money, it's about sending a message."
I hope your lawsuit goes smoothly. It's actually insane how lazy the competition was with their theft haha.
It’s about the principle!!!
Someone steals from him and he wants to use the damages to help others. A truly wonderful person.
Sounds like a good ol robbin hood story
the real effective altruism.
