    I have what may be the previous version of these, they have a proprietary magnetic charging cable. I agree with everything you say, though mine seem to have better call quality, I've been on the receiving end of people using them and they sound fantastic. And this is really one of two killer features of these because calling with the Aeroplex is MUCH more natural than with closed in-ear buds. The second killer feature is that these can safely be used while driving, which closed in-ear buds absolutely cannot. So, yes, the strength in these has nothing to do with fidelity - which as you noted they totally lack - and everything to do with their particular type of functionality.

      Thanks @Tine Tannies - they are great and I wish they were greater! I will use them for running and biking, but not all the time. I wouldn't return them because I will use them, but people should know what they are getting into.
      Thanks for pointing out their great useful features - pinning your note!

      @@SoZenGadgets I'm not sure these can get much greater in terms of audio quality, I suspect their design puts physical limits on what is possible. I suppose there's always room for improvement on mics. I LOVE making calls with these, the open design feels vastly more like an in-person conversation than any other headset I've used.

      @@tinetannies4637 I used them for several hours of conference calls and they were awesome. I love how natural it feels and sounds taking calls with them

      i like the design as it suits me as a deaf person wearing hearing aids and it doesn't cause hearing aids to whistle feedback like the normal big headphones that cover ears. i'm just trying to get used to these open move, i wanted to use them on my ps3 and ps3 recognises them from pairing mode. you know as a deaf gamer i would love to join in with the multiplayer chat and listen to what's being said and hear game sounds much more clearly, i can't seem to hear anything yet, i'm trying to figure it out at the moment lol apparently the device is supposed to say words like 'charge me' and 'low battery' and other things when it's on and all connected up.

    Agree, great for biking and treadmill. Perfect for podcasts and for listening to my TV via roku app when my wife is sleeping. If you bike, get one of these!

    Just bought the Titanium version and ran through the local forest using them for the first time. I found them awesome. I had to cross some main roads and avoid mountain bikers on the trails. Really enjoyed them and motivated my run safely listening to music. Not comparable in sound quality to good over the ear noise cancelling headphones, but great for outdoor pursuits.

      Agreed Paul, great for their purpose, not comparable even to wireless earbuds.

    Bought them for bike commuting. Agree with what you say but there is one more drawback: fitting them under a helmet, with glasses, and with a warm neck "buff" is not easy: they tend to be pushed away from your ears or not to fit optimally.

    I used aftershokz for remote school. Most comfortable pair of earphones I’ve owned. Also allowed me to occasionally pop on my AirPods so I can listen to music during conferences .

      lol, that's hilarious! You wear 2 sets of earbuds at the same time. I love it.

    I work in construction. My experience is that these are the best headsets!
    I can demo concrete with a jack hammer and hear anything perfectly fine on my Afyershock device with ear plugs. I know using EP's isn't the most comfortable thing, but it's a trade-off.
    Did I mention that I'm on my 3rd set?!

      It'll be interesting to hearwhqtyou think. To me it's the lack of bass that hinders the experience

    • @octaviomorelos5545
      @octaviomorelos5545 3 года назад

      I'd give up the bass for safety any day. If you're on a bike you don't want to be immersed is music. The Aeropex have better sound.

      @@SoZenGadgets If you want the Bass experience - put the earplugs on. This simulates the noise cancellation of the typical earbuds but it negates the whole purpose of hearing what is happening around you which is annoying for me as a cyclist. I just bought this today and took it on a bike ride and loved it. No ear stress, fits perfectly in my helmet with sunglasses. I can listen to music and make calls and hear my Varia warn me of incoming vehicles from behind. Thumbs up totally !

    Another option to get good sound quality but still be aware of your surroundings is just to wear a good pair of earbuds in ambient mode. I had another version of this brand of bone conduction headphones and returned them because I found them unsatisfactory.

    • @SoZenGadgets
      @SoZenGadgets  3 года назад

      hi Greg, I hope that option of using ambient mode works well for people with more ;and more buds having good ambient mode

    Good for a delivery person that wants to hear directions, phone calls and still want to drive safely.

    • @SoZenGadgets
      @SoZenGadgets  2 года назад

      yup, that's a good use case. but hey, try any earbud without silicone tips, you'll get all the same with about 1,000,000 times better sound than these

    I bought Chinese version for $10 for testing, they are great, the battery lasts for several days, like 24 hours at 50% volume. I wonder, if I still should buy those or keep the cheap ones?

    • @SoZenGadgets
      @SoZenGadgets  3 года назад

      Michal, they're great for what they are, and if you like the sound of bone conduction headphones, these are probably the best, considering all their patents and research they put it. I had another cheaper pair of bone conduction headphones, I returned them. These I kept for specific uses around running and work calls.
