Have you tried a pair of bone conduction headphones? Let me know if this was helpful in the comments and if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, good review. My 3rd pair of these bone conducting style headphones. Previously got the titanium model....not because of a bad product, but due to loss or being care less and breaking during storing. Use them for hiking, running, biking, taking calls while working or driving or shopping in stores. Basically when I need to be aware of other things going on around me. Not super great sounding but enough to keep a rhythm going for activities. For big sound and bass I use over the ear headphones. Skull Candy Evos my latest pair. They sound amazing!
Skullcandy is a great company! My number one use for the Aftershokz has got to be for podcasts, audio books and RUclips video I listen to in the background. Like you said for all those things you do that are keeping you busy but you need to be aware. They're perfect for that. Limitations but they're still really cool! Thanks for the comment.
I know my first set also had a setting for when you used the ear plugs that adjusted the sound accordingly. I used it that way a lot when I was mowing. Worked great
I use bone conducting primarily due to my hearing loss. Over time my hearing has become increasingly diminished and this technology has really improved my ability to communicate 9ver the phone or zoom. After shokz definitely are the best and will last the almost the entire day on a single charge. My only complaint is having to turn them off and them pair them again each time i switch from phone to my tablet. So i recently purchased another pair just to have one dedicated to each device. So if you are someone dealing with hearing loss i highly recommend this technology. I paid 59 for my second pair. Thanks for this review.
That's an incredible perspective I didn't really think about! Thanks for sharing. The OpenMove is more than functional and especially for that reason. I still love them. Mainly use them on walks or when I'm cooking because of the ambient awareness you naturally have without that strong artificial noise headphones give you.
I appreciate the review because I just got my package in the mail and was kind of skeptical. I watch this review and now I have full confidence in these headphones and how I’m going to be using them and how also I am going to protect my ears so I appreciate this review dawg!!!
Buying these specifically for podcasts. Planning to use them while riding my bike. I already have a pair of airpods pro, but I have to adjust them constantly. I also have a pair of Jlab Sports Air, but those are just a bit uncomfortable and don't really like how the outside noise is heard. I also tried the Beats fit pro, but they did not fit my ears. They were actually painful to wear and returned them. Hopefully these are exactly what I'm looking for. My concern is the wind noise, but I'm looking forward to trying them out.
Good point! It was funny because I didn't have the sound adjustments tuned right and the only way it sounded good to me was holding it up to my mouth like a normal mic or something. Love this thing though. Thanks for the feedback!
I am highly considering this style of headset. I love to listen to things while out walking my dog. And because they don't block out what's going on around you even better. I'm thinking about getting the earlier gen ones just to make sure this is right for me, plus being on a very tight budget I can't splurge on the tech I want to get.
I've watched reviews on both the Opencomm and Openmove, and the Openmove's mic quality sounded really good in those videos. In your experience does the mic quality really differ that much between these two models? Considering the large price difference, I am agonizing on which one to buy! Thank you for your review, it made me decide to get Aftershokz
OpenComm if you're on on them all day. Otherwise the other versions are good enough. Mic quality is near identical between the other models. Personally I've found the Air most comfortable. OpenMove just applied a bit too much pressure to my temples. Aeropex may be better yet but not dropping $100+ on headphones.
I was also looking at the titaniums but I decided to order the OpenMoves instead. I’ll try and reply when they get here, but I’m fairly sure these are the “upgraded” version of the Titaniums, which are now kind of hard to find. USB-C charging, and maybe slightly higher build quality + sound quality than the titaniums at the same price.
It would have to be volume all the way up in a quiet room in my experience. Even then it's noticing something is playing or there's a noise coming from somewhere but with no detail.
My sister got t(wse for me for christmas. She sais after pairing to two dev8ces they auto pair between the two but for me t(ey don’t, and here I was trying to find out how and why. If there 8s a video on the feat7re it’s quite well burried lol. Just now tried the earplugs, the do make it louder but ear plu*s are uncomfortable and they work fi;e for most thi;*s. Bes5 wishes toyou.:)
Thanks for this feedback! You can multipoint connect but of course it’ll only be playing one device at a time and you have to wait a second for it to take significance as to which device you’re using.
I got chinese language... How to change to english? And the vibration make headache for me... Or maybe because im not use to bone conductor? This is my first bone conductor headphone
@@TechOutAdam already change it to english. And i used it 2 days now and the headache is gone. Maybe because im not use to the aftershokz vibration near my head. But now is ok. 😁
I'm sure there's tons of sponsors that would love to pay you considering that you have 3,000 subscribers and hold the fuzzy little microphone up to your mouth while you do your video.
I'm thinking of making a video on that subject alone. It's pretty wild the requirements these companies have just for them to send you out a product to review. Even without getting paid.
Shitty product that was ok for 3-4 monts ....suddenly dead....Never buy aftershokz headphones because they DISAPPEAR when it s time to honor their warranty
I personally not had the same experience. I have broken two of mine (not their fault. I dropped one and ran over it with my car and the other got crushed when someone crushed my backpack) both were replaced quickly and with no questions beyond receipt and warranty card.

Yes i have, I had the titanium, and i just ordered the openmove.
@@EJ.0722 Boo ya! Hope this video helped.
Used a unbranded cheap one. Broke down after 3weeks of using it.
Ps: heavy sweater from hot ass country
Love mine. Great sound

Same ear wax hair issue here ...😲... Great you talk about Health Consequences of TECH
As someone who’s constantly listening to videos, podcasts and audiobooks aftershoks are perfect for me
I agree big time because listening to music is one thing but with all the things you mentioned these are perfect in every way. Love Aftershokz.

These are amazing for long durations of podcast/audio books.
how many device can it connect to openmove shokz
Good review. btw - you don't need to hold the wireless go to your mouth, clipping it to your shirt is more than adequate (I use the wireless go too).

You got a "like" from me just from the small compact fuzzy mike 🤩🤩🤩
Hahaha I love using the mic like this but some people think it's bad to do. It's the only way to get the best sound out of the Rode Wireless Go!
Can i connect them on my pc

The microphone on the OpenComm is MUCH better. You can’t beat that boom arm performance.
Thanks for your feedback.
Delivery driver, Uber, realtors. Perfect for those driving and using the phone or cell GPS often.
Heck yeah that's a great point.
Great review. I definitely identify with the ear fatigue. Do not like to have buds in my ears all the time.
I just bought the titanium version I wonder what the difference is with the open move

These are really good for loud places cause you can wear regular earplugs to protect your hearing and still listen to a podcast.
I've been wearing mine since 10am this morning. Still at 40% now at 23:51!
Good video thanks
Thank you as well! Did you end up getting them? Let me know your thoughts as well, any questions you have.
Hi what glasses are those?
They are Warby Parker. I forgot what exact model though.
Great video
Thank you!

Good video but the fluffy mic was distracting.
Ha-ha yeah people don't like it for some reason! Thanks for the comment and for watching.
I wear them over my glasses without any problems.
They're not that bad with glasses. better than I thought.
Can people around you hear what you are listening too?

Hmm, not sure if these would be a good fit though if they give you a headache. How have they been so far since you got them?
@@TechOutAdam already change it to english. And i used it 2 days now and the headache is gone. Maybe because im not use to the aftershokz vibration near my head. But now is ok. 😁
Based on experience, glasses go on first then the aftershokz 😊 on top, otherwise your vision is affected
Battery life sux at 6 hours. Really?
It's definitely not the best lol
The older models lasted longer.
I can’t repair them
What happened?
@@TechOutAdam never mind I got it it was hard to put it in pairing mode
I had to stop using these openmove headsets they gave me headaches and in 50+ years i never had headaches before it's sad for me
I haven't heard of that before. Very strange. Not sure how that is happening. Do you experience headaches with other products?
Same I sometimes get a headache.
To sleep I put them on the front. It works well enough 😅
Now that's innovative lol

Couldn't get through this because of the weird furry mic...
Haha! I think it looks so goofy looking back, such a noob and can never get the sound right.
