tbh new jeans is under an incredible production team, not just the girls are talented, but the whole production team is amazing. It's definitely new generation of kpop. Idol might be a culture, but when music turns into form of art, they aren't just idol, they are artists
@@KKKK-bl4cg I mean can't deny that since the creative director (Min Heejin) who was behind f(x)'s most acclaimed works (Pink Tape, and 4Walls) is literally the creative director who formed and is playing a huge role in NewJeans' concepts, marketing, and creative direction. The big difference is, while it isn't /new/, I feel like SM being the biggest archetype of classic late 2000's-2010s k-pop (with shiny, polished, hyper-produced MVs and music that borders on formulaic) she couldn't really do the full extent of what she wanted to do, but with ADOR and NewJeans, she has wayyy more freedom and control. And on top of that, I feel like with NewJeans this is gonna be an integral part of their brand from the beginning because the artsier and more "authentic" spin on K-pop was something f(x) and EXO did... didn't really stick? It was a phase they went through, but it didn't become a part of their overall brand (though arguably it did for f(x))
@@KKKK-bl4cg Well, MHJ is the director back then too. I am a SM stan so I guess I definitely can comment that SM is not advancing tho the artists are all great. See what songs they gave to GOT the beat. This is also why SM has not enough spotlight in 2022 when other groups got so many talents and concepts while they just delay aespa's comeback. The NEW thing here in NewJeans is that they are doing concepts kpop circle is lack of now, that's why they are so popular even among Koreans, not just global fans. Cuz just be realistic, most fans are just fans, they may appreciate the music but not all appreciate the art behind. Tho I will disagree that MHJ being boast about herself with NewJeans' success and giving hate comment to SM, but it's true that SM needs new things (I would say to start with better management for artists)
normalize liking NewJeans not only because of their visuals, but because they are talented, amazing, beautiful, precious peoples. words cannot describe how amazing they are
istg, you’re so right,i’m so happy that newjeans is a new group that actually thinks about a really and true storyline:))they really have so much talent, love them
Trust me people mostly like newjeans because of their good music, mv, concepts, talent, and their lovable personalities and visuals are just a plus point.
lemme just get this out. i cried while watching this video of yours. and i didn't even notice i was crying until it turned into uncontrollable wailing. all songs and music videos like this one are art and its meanings really depend on the audience's views, beliefs, and experiences but your explanation of the ditto mv just hit me so damn hard i'm literally crying my heart out in the bathroom as i'm typing this out. i used to be super into kpop when i was in high school. back when snsd and 2ne1 were at the top of the kpop food chain. it made me so happy learning songs, practicing choreos, watching reality kpop. all that changed when i got into college where life and adulting pressure started. even more when i got pregnant, got married, had a baby. and although my husband and baby are both lovely, having a baby at 23 made me HAVE TO mature even faster than women my age - like my youth was taken away from me. maybe that's why i felt so emotional when i got to attend a kpop concert weeks ago and why i still couldn't get over it until now. for a brief couple of days, i feel like i'm 13 again - singing, dancing, cheering my heart out. i felt like i was young again anyway i could never listen to ditto the same way ever again
Okay, I was trying not to cry the whole video but your comment got me.. I wish your family happines and as Jordan said, we can always come back and rewatch these "old memories" and smile again (^^)
gosh you put it so beautifully into words, i 100% agree with you. I'm in university now, and i was introduced to kpop at a very very young age where much of my elementary to high school life was immersed with the dances, the vlives, the shows, and the music. Covid happened as i graduated and it feels like my nicely-wrapped up ending of childhood was ripped away from me. Ditto broke my heart and it didn't help that I had watch 20th Century Girl for the first time right before. T_T Growing out of childhood, but remembering to cherish your youth and the memories. What a concept I wish that I had known before. I hope you're doing well, we'll feel those happy moments when we rewatch our memories.
It didn't change, even if a meaningful song comes, people will still be parasocial demons😂😂, it's like a drug, which is accessible for lonely people to escape reality and they will do it, they will make up stories in their head until it ruins or hits them
Currently, Ditto of New Jeans is maintaining the No. 1 spot on the Korean charts for 28 days. 2nd and 3rd place are also New Jeans' OMG and Hypeboy! These girls are ruling the K-pop market.
They have 430+ PAKs !!! PAK = Perfect All Kill Defined as when a song is at number one on the real-time, day and weekly parts of the iChart. The iChart is the aggregate of Melon, Genie, Bugs, Flo and Naver Vibe charts. There used to be 10 charts but some were removed if they were either inconsistent, had low volumes of users or discontinued. Flo is new in 2019 and Naver Music became Naver Vibe also in 2019. Some criteria also changed such as now Melon is based on past 24 hours , not past hour and is based on unique listeners, not hourly useage per song. (eg. If 1 user listens to a song 10 times, it counts as 1 not 10).
@@de68a and it would still be getting PAKs if OMG hadn't blocked Ditto on the YT chart, it's crazy how successful they are, the only song that could block newjeans was another newjeans song
@@rosiii9 ▪RAKs is still going up though. Up to #615 ! ▪And of 7 musIc shows this year, they've won 6 of them - Ateez won the first of the year and NJ won the rest!! It will be really interesting to see how they develop their sound and visual identity as the girls get older. As the girl crush/boss bitch concept kind of dominated kpop in last several years and is still going strong, it's awesome that this kind of concept has so much success. It's kinda silly that this authenticity is sold by a corporation, but that IS the most gen z thing about it actually.
@@butandso we're sorrounded by so much content and marketing that when something feels more real and as if it isn't trying to "fool us" it's a breath of fresh air, while obviously still being carefully crafted to create an effect
Honestly, ditto is such an excellent way of portraying idol-fan relationship. Grew up listening to this boy group as a teen and when I turned adult, left it and started focusing on my surrounding practically my life. So ditto makes me feel idk so many emotions.
Ditto is truly a sophisticated and avant garde kpop track. Theres so much substance to it in sound and concept. Its like watching an A list blockbuster flick and then stumbling into a film festival the next day. It felt like a crazy A24 picture! The people at Hybe are really on to something and I hope they explore more concepts and creative direction like this more! Its truly a great signature.

All I can is that we finally get to see a group that is breaking the overused K-pop formula. I love the fresh take this group gives that the industry really needed for quite a while now. This will definitely shake things up within the industry and will try to copy the trend they started.
Gotta say, I love the ending of this video. I got into K-pop much later in my life than most people, so I look at it through a different lens. It's so easy to get cinical about it all, and there are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike so much of what fandom is, but this warms my cold heart. I almost cried.
Me too! It was actually really heartwarming and validating in a sense? I’d guess that I’m in a similar boat to you, I was 23 when I got into K-pop last October and this video made me feel better about finding comfort in a group of people on the other side of the world who I may never meet and most likely don’t even know that I exist (Skz btw) - it was actually some of Jordan’s reactions, among other things, that nudged me into K-pop so thank you Jordan!
I think I get what you mean about feeling cynical, sometimes I wonder how much of what people in the industry do or say is because they’ve been told to or because of money rather than them genuinely wanting to - I don’t know if I could ever know, but I try to assume the best and hope that doesn’t make me delusional 😅
@emily skz are my faves too. I think they are as genuine as they can be, but there is still a lot they can't say and things they do for fan service. It's just how it is. I've actually been a bit disappointed in them in the last several months because, if you know what to look for, those things have become more and more obvious. It makes me sad to think that they couldn't escape it because if any team had a chance, it was them. Guess not, though.
I HATE that no one ever pays attention to this beautiful transition at 17:45. It's so simple and quick yet it gives me chills every time. Them opening the door but it's Heesoo as an adult turning her head as if she was actually living the moment and then the camera turns to the girls entering the same room she's in!!! I LOVE IT!! wanted to mention that!!!
I agree!! When I first watched the video that was the part that stuck out to me the most. It made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside, like an old friend coming home to visit, which I feel was what the scene was representing.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but Ban Heesoo (bunnies - fandom name- M/V protagonist) has her own RUclips channel. She old school uploaded the raw video files you saw in the 00s RUclips. She’s been uploading since ditto came out, the fans found it by themselves, started at 0 subs. By far the best marketed K-pop group going right now . youtube.com/@banheesoo
I remember when I first saw a NewJeans MV I was like wait, is this a kpop group? Will they be performing at music shows? That's how unique they are. NewJeans is their own genre!!
I became a fan of SNSD in 2007, I was 13 years old. I followed them throughout their whole career and was huge fan of them. I loved all of them and their music and personalities so much! I even had dreams where I met them and performed with them. I now am an (almost) 29 year old woman who is engaged. I am an adult now. I feel this video throughout my entire adolescence. I was so invested into SNSD, at one point they were the centre of my universe. But life moves on, and I moved on. Just like Heesoo. I know how Heesoo feels 🤎 well done, Heesoo. Let’s look back fondly.
@@Hello-xz7iu in a sense they do. Mostly for their fresh and ‘innocent’ concept at the moment. Reminds me of ‘Into the New World’ SNSD. They also evoke a certain melancholic feeling.
@@xKayNee if you really read the comment well, you would understand. I am talking about how SNSD was the centre of my life at one point. I liked everything about them. But then I matured past them and moved on with my life. Which is the message of the video of ‘Ditto’.
The last 20 seconds of this video of you explaining not just the MV, or New Jeans or Bunnies but the entire relationship between kpop idols and their fandom was so profound and amazing. I love it! Thank you.
I didn’t cry but I definitely teared up, I’m 21. First started listening to kpop when I was 14, and I had lost my excitement for it ever since two years ago but Newjeans brought it back. It reminded me of the times when I would watch kpop music videos during lunch time with my close friends (which I barely hang out with now because university 😀) or listen to songs in the bus on my way to school. It made me so emotional because of how fast time has gone by and everything in my life has changed, for the worse I’d say. I wish I could relive those memories, back to when I was happier
Wow, I shed some tears in the end. How Jordan walked the audiences through the storytelling of the MVs makes me understand the message more now, hence the tears. Another great reaction video.
Same. I've been a kpop fan for more than 10 years. I know how it feels like to go back and watch my old favorite kpop groups, and the impact it had on me in my personal life. SNSD wasn't just a kpop idol to me, they became my friends. I listened to their music and watch their videos in times of difficulty and happiness. Ditto reminds me of those feelings as a kpop fan. Now with NewJeans, I'll also feel the same way when I get much older.
Dude, this is not a K-Pop music video. It's a short film--art. Thank you for introducing me to this MV. It's the first time I've seen it and I'm glad I watched it on your channel.
17:59 "She remembers all the good times that she had when she was younger, even though she's moved past it, she can look back on the memories with fondness [...] That's just the idol-fan relationship." I was very moved from that moment on because I can only agree with your reasoning. I have been a kpop fan for years (and still am), devoted to BTS and Mamamoo in particular, attached to this very special musical and visual atmosphere of Kpop. I shared this passion with my older sister at one time. Then two years ago, she met someone and I felt her gradually detach from our common passion. At first I didn't understand, I was confused, I felt alone and left out because she didn't have the same passion when we talked about it, she wasn't as involved as before. Eventually I came to terms with it. Then a year ago, I met someone. As the weeks went by, I also saw myself moving away from Kpop, but most of all I left behind BTS and Mamamoo. I understood that it was inevitable. I was having moments of nostalgia, of blur, of sadness, thinking of it. They had such an important place for me. They shaped a part of me as I became a woman. But I just couldn't give them as much importance as before. Finally, looking back, I said the exact same thing to myself : "Lots of time when you get older, you grow out of Kpop. That's just the reality of it. But even when you're older, you can always go back, you can always go watch some of those old nostalgic groups that you've watched and you can remember all the good memories. You can be like : I liked these guys."
@@claudiamerticariu2025 it doesn't have to be someone. You might just drift away from it. I also kinda drift away from it. Now i just listen couple of music that's it. Where previously i watch kpop all day. One day it'll become a memory to you also. That's how life is. Nothing lasts forever
This is so bittersweet but so true. I am still very into kpop these days but nothing like 2 years ago where I was fully invested into it, knew every single cb of the month, watched stages AND content and all that.
It's so relevant how nj really represents growing up as a teenage girl, the beauty and the emotions that involve passing thru so many confusing, scary, but also exciting changes, all credits to their creative director, that make sure that none of the really young girl members are being sexualized in any concept, performance or clothes, respecting their ages, this is a relief in a kinda toxic and abusive industry sometimes
I honestly feel like kpop idols of any age are way less sexualized than the typical Hollywood young stars that are made to writhe around on stage almost n*ked and calling it woman empowerment… like honestly kpop seems like one or two step up from kidzbop. Their outfits and dancing on stage is not even that extreme than what goes on in clubs
I'm 25 and nostalgia hits so deep with me and New Jeans nailed the feeling in this video. I'm a quarter in into my life and will enter my 30s soon. I often look at the things I used to like and look back at them with sadness but also happiness because they all got me to where I was. I love New Jeans because they remind me of the days I was young, carefree, and curious about life. I still remember choregraphing dances with my sister when I was little so I loved the concept of NJ learning a dance together and recording it on film. The people and experiences we go through fly by us but the memories last forever.
THIS. No wonder why their whole vibe took me and kickstarted my interest in kpop, specifically this group. I'm 24 and their songs really takes me back during my teenage years when I was reckless, rebellious, and although not fully innocent, the whole carefree attitude I had that time gives me bittersweet feelings when listening to ditto. Kind of amazing how a young, gen Z group made me feel nostalgia in an impactful way that I bought their album lol.
This comment !! 26 year old male here. Been into kpop since 2011 High school. Man sometimes I look back at my old memories in high school to now. Seeing where I’m at. Thinking about times where I didn’t had to worry about bills etc. like it just hit me in the feels.
Jordan, my friend, I just had to drop by and leave a comment on your latest video. I was blown away by the talent and skill on display. These artists are not only visually stunning with such simple graphics, but with an amazing story, they possess a level of musicality that is truly rare. Their talent and beauty are indescribable and I truly believe they are going to change the K-pop game forever. Keep pushing boundaries and never lose sight of your incredible potential. Hats off to you for bringing their talents to the forefront. Keep up the amazing work, Jordan! 👍
I want to say that, altough catered towards gen Z, I think there is a really big part of this that speaks to millennials and brings them nostalgia about their youth. I've litterally danced with my little walkman when I was that age. Those were the things I used to do with my friends as a kid... It's really lovely!
more than genz i think their concept is simply girlhood, on their videos you see women of literally every age going “reminds me of me and my friends in the 80's/90'0/00'0 etc” every girl that is a teen or older see themselves and their past in their concept that’s why i believe they’re getting so big, following them feels like watching a coming of age movies marathon lol i also think ppl were craving a group that didn’t express a “boss b*tch high maintenance unattainable regina george like* persona but one that celebrated being a regular typical girl
I don't even think this was catered to Gen Z, per se. It's more of the immense creativity that can be produced by some genius wanting to produce something never before seen. I mean, go ask the CEO Min Hee Jin.
been struggling with maladaptive daydream for most my life now and it really hurts to feel nostalgic over things that i never really experienced in real life but only through my imagination. but i guess that's what makes "ditto" better. relating to it to an extent feels almost bittersweet.
Y'know the way I discovered this song was by just watching the performance version. I had no idea about the deep, and saddening meaning of it. Soon after, I watched the mv, and ended up crying. I still cry when watching it, this mv gets me each time. (I'm wailing right now)
I know it seems like NewJeans is an outlier that will change the direction of Kpop, but I really feel like they are the beginning of an anomaly, like lightning in a bottle. Everything in their production are done with care and authenticity. All the members have great skills and visually pleasing. I seriously think there won’t be a group like them in the future. As time goes on and “traditional” kpop gets recycled and forgotten, I truly think they’ll last a very long time and make more beautiful music as they grow older. They’re the only ones I feel like I’m watching something special when they release music. I hope they get all the success
@@WE__BTS No disrespect to BTS, they are obviously great and deserve everything they accomplished. But they aren't the first authentic group, this is a lie. And their style of kpop IS traditional.
@@saeros9760 it's my opinion that what they did was the first to be both authentic (particularly through their lyrics and meaning of the MVs) and non-traditional (style of the MVs). Just make an argument for who and when if you disagree with me. To say I'm "lying" is silly when it's not a cut-and-dried factual matter
@@WE__BTS For that you will have to explain what they did differently. Plenty of groups from the second gen have deep meanings on their lyrics, with diverse styles. About the mvs, i honestly don't know what you mean. Also, calling them the "first authentic group" is insanely disrespectful to everyone that came before. You think Wonder Girls weren't authentic? Big Bang? Shinee? F(x)?
As non-kpop kpop videos go, it’s what Min Hee Jin is known for. You’ll see how there’s a through line from f(x)’s Pink Tape art film and 4 Walls MV to this (even down to the use of animals). Her style as a creative director often seems to be a combination of dreamy surreal and hazy nostalgia. I honestly think she has the best music art direction in kpop. f(x) and NewJeans are evidence that women in the music industry are important. Girl groups by women for women are always going to be the most authentic and engaging (eg spice girls, tlc, etc).
@@KKKK-bl4cg they praise newjeans because it is something new or different in the kpop scene today. even sm did not do something like this before or min hee jin with her past works. they praise her because her works are the best in kpop, not because sm is doing it or has done it before but becasue she is behind it all, not sm.
The message this song and MV conveys is very strong and I could tell what the storyline was the very first time I saw it. I am a teenager, slowly growing into adulthood as I've let go of everything I treasured just because I think it's childish to be still doing that. We have different thoughts like " should I still be liking this? " but once again when we turn back to look at everything we used to do. It was what comforted us the most. We didn't know about the struggles of being an adult and when we finally grew into that phase of life. We want to be younger again, we want to experience that younger phase again but we can't. We can only look back at the painful yet happy memories. Painful because we can't experience it again..
Newjeans is basically the same as TripleS, Purple Kiss, and XG. Newjeans is similar to Exo, Red Velvet, Girls Generation, Loona, Twice, Blackpink and Mamamoo.
I’ve NERVER cried so much watching a K-pop MV. I found myself bawling. Cuz my memories from my teenage and school life in general were very sad and complicated, and that’s why I was so connected with music. Wow just a masterpiece
New jeans are a breathe of fresh air, really. Last year comeback's and releases were just loud music and then New Jeans came with the refreshing, nostalgic, Y2k performance/music. They also incorporate dance moves which were popular in the early 2000s in k-pop. The videos were all so present well
I had the exact same thought. Groups I usually love gave up their more melodic songs for the same trashy dubpstep that became mainstream. Newjeans have rhythm and an almost relaxing sound that’s unlike no other. Gave me hope for girl groups
I agree, I think New Jeans is the start of something that could change K-Pop. Before Kpop was just perfection and now there's emotion and real meaning behind all of it. Their music video had me crying so much, I'm glad I actually felt something watching a kpop video when most of the time it's just cool effects and nice transitions.
It's your fault I'm in tears at work. I loved the way you explain the Idol- Fan relationship. I'm so happy to have the support my groups give me and I'll always remember them with a grateful heart and a smile
in my opinion these concept and ideas really make them stand out. i used to doubt them and think they would flop, but this group has so much potential!
The end is so true that it almost made me cry. I started to listen K-pop in my adolescent age but then I was busy due to studies, jobs... And forgot about this genre. At the beggining of 2022 I realized how much Ive missed K-pop now that I am an adult. This video represents that and I think a lot of us can relate Loving New Jeans.
This MV reminds me of how I never had anyone in my life that shared my interest of kpop or dancing and how I've always had to do it alone in my room. It was very lonely and I cry thinking about it. Now I'm almost 30 and feel like i wasted a passion and childhood with no memories to show for it. There are no classes near me to take and posting on social media will make ppl think " A 30yr old dancing to teen kpop music seems too lame to do now" idk..😔 anyway great video.
im not even an adult yet lol but smth i will say is that the best thing to do is enjoy life. don't stop liking what u like/doing what u do j bc u don't wanna be judged, bc smth to keep in mind is that ppl r gonna judge regardless. you will never get this time back. you'll never be 30 again. so the best thing to do is j do what u like and enjoy it to the absolute fullest. ive seen ppl around ur age who like kpop too, so you can def find ppl online, prob irl too. this saying is super overused, ik, but we live on a floating rock in space. we're literally like microscopic ants compared to the vastness of the universe. our time here is limited, and most ppl don't even live to 100. time is fleeting, so enjoy things. u don't have to enjoy everything ofc bc that wouldn't make any sense, esp bc life is full of ups & downs, but just .... idk. live ur life how u want to :] and don't let anyone take that away from u sorry if this is rlly long lmao
Damn you really got me with that last part. I’ve liked kpop since i was 11, and I’m 27 now. Going back and watching old videos takes me back to my younger, more innocent days. I look back with fondness and appreciation for these groups that brought me happiness in some hard times in my childhood/adolescence. And even now, just looking a few years back to pre-covid, there’s a similar feeling. It’s crazy to have gone through that twice. And now I’m crying 😭
As a person that is a part of gen z, you really hit the nail on the head. All I want is authenticity and realness. I don’t care if everything is perfect and prepared, in fact I would much rather want it to be scrambled and shown as real.
Even with ‘OMG’ by newjeans it portrays a similar message of idols “forgetting about themselves.” Ditto talks about the K-pop fans sides while OMG talks about the idols side. Omg is basically saying “hey! When you give idols expectations they have to live up to it and when they do, they lose sight of who they actually are.” It’s like a call out to K-pop fans. You can watch it, you can listen to it, you can have fun with it. But in the end, idols will suffer more than you could imagine.
I got chills and a little chocked up watching this. I haven’t listened to KPOP since 2020, because life happened and I just didn’t have time anymore. New jeans is being talked about literally everywhere, and you popped up in my recommended. So I decided to give a watch. Now I have a baby, I sometimes look back at old MVs of groups that I loved. New Jeans is a group I would’ve definitely been into if I were still a KPOP fan. It makes me happy that there is a group doing new things and not getting too westernized. Maybe I’ll give their music a listen.
It's so funny because NewJeans throws me back to when kpop was fun, when it really had something to tell, not just beauty shots and selling fashion brands. They also remind me so much of f(x).... The way they were conceptual yet "pop"... especially in their Pink Tape era (the album that really changed a lot of how kpop turned out to be). I really root for NJ because they have the talent to back up so much production and make it seem effortless. In a way, they are a breath of fresh air and authenticity in a genre that became so generic and commercialized.
Newjeans is basically the same as TripleS, Weeekly, Purple Kiss, Loona, Le Sserafim, XG, Class:y, and StayC. Newjeans is similar to Exo, Red Velvet, BTS, Stray Kids, NCT groups, Enhypen, SuperM, Girls Generation, Nature, Mimiirose, Primrose, IVE, Itzy, Twice, Blackpink, Mamamoo.
10:48 is the EXACT REACTION I had of Ditto side A. The feeling was very overwhelming once I realized that Newjeans was never there (atleast in this version). Istg I am always in awe with every released music of this group. It is true. Newjeans got the potential to become the biggest girl/kpop group, no doubt. ♡♡♡♡♡
this music video makes me bawl my eyes out every time I watch it as someone in my mid 20s lol youth is so damn fleeting and there are so many people i've lost contact with since my high school days but the memories I have with them are so bittersweet and I just wish the best for them even if I never talk to them again
Bro same here, I bawled my eyes out when I saw this. I think I had an adrenaline rush of all those deeply buried feelings. It's kind of fresh to see music from people who are around my age, trying to conveying their complex emotions to a large audience. Ig this is the only group I have felt connected to after stray kids🤧
same. i can't believe i cried over a kpop rookies music videos after almost a decade been into kpop. this is reminds me of my highschool years, and how i make new friends with a fellow kpoper back then when i just got into kpop. we could hang out for the whole day. now we're just stranger, i don't even talk to all of my friends from highschool after graduated. sorry for the TMI. i just think i had to let it out while sobbing.
The director, Shin Woo-Seok, deserves recognition. He's responsible for most of their high concept videos. That freshness that comes through in his videos is in large part due to his lack of conventional Kpop experience. BTW, the fawn represents the ideal friend. Regarding the concept, Shin said he "wanted to talk about the fact that the relationship between an idol and a fan ultimately comes to an end, the meaning of the process, and the existence of each other". Ador deserves credit for approving the concept. It's quite bold actually.
Yaa....so Shame that their country don't give a credit or a Thropy for any one else beside the idol....coz there a lot of great work not just the idol.....this Ditto is great at the concept, the music, the choreo, and of course the video music it self...and might be the story...i don't know...there is so much just from this Ditto alone
This made me realize. I have been a kpop fan for more than a decade now. I'm now 27. Yet, I'm still indulging myself in the fantasy of kpop. I think I haven't been able to move past the next step. I am still looking and still want more. Some of my friend that I met through kpop are now married have their own families. But here I am, still living in the fantasy. I know we all have our own timeline. And life is not a race. But this thought make me think, when will I move on the next step of my life? Will I be able to reach that?
I have same thoughts... My difference with u is that I'm afraid of changes. I'm comfortable in my apartament watching BTS or k-dramas until 2am but sometimes I see young families with babys on park and my heart want it a little. I wish u good luck. I hope to stay on k-pop even a decade as u
I'm the same age you and I always felt the same way... That I'm kinda left behind for some unknown reason. Idk what to say but just know you aren't alone in that battle. Have a great day!
I don’t think it’s wrong to follow kpop as you grow up. It’s your interest - it’s like adults who obsess over sports and other celebrities. As long as you’re taking care of your other responsibilities in life and living out your own life, it’s always ok to be a fan of kpop. Just don’t let it consume all your time.
watching this video and how you explained the lore is really fantastic to me. as a kpop fan, ive dream of wanting to see my favorite kpop idols in person. but hence, i can only see and watch them on screen. the feeling of wanting to see them and wanting to have fun with them in person is just a dream, or an imagination. letting go of the memories you made with a person is hard. when you're growing up, you're slowly starting to move on and have fun with your life. moving into a new chapter and exploring different type of things. but then you suddenly remember a memory and it all came back to you. how fun it is being an adolescence, hanging out with your friends and having fun. you can erase the person, but the memories will stay the same.
This is probably the best analysis video of this MV, you hit the nail on head on a lot of things. Clearly you have done some homework before explaining all of that detail, symbolism, name, etc. Nice one Jordan.
No one will see this comment and I’m sure of that but I’m still gonna share my thoughts: Kpop. My comfort side back when I was 5-9 years old. Now, I’m 14 years old. Kpop had been one of my social addiction and I was obssessed over it especially BTS. I’ve grown up now and my likes have changed. From Kpop to Genshin Impact to Anime specifically Demon Slayer. My mom told me that I will grow out of Kpop but I didn’t believe it at first but as I get older, I did grow out of Kpop and become much more invested in Demon Slayer. My bias was Min Yoongi from BTS and I sorta made a self-deal to bias and love him forever but… I didn’t continue the deal so… hehe. Now, I’ll share my thoughts kn this reaction video. I realized so much after watching this. Jordan, you’re right… you’re right about everything you said at the end. I grew up and stopped at Kpop just like how Bunnie-soo (don’t know how to spell it) stopped at NewJeans. And, she is now grown up and decided to relive her life with NJ by watching her videos with them. Like me, it has been 5 years since I watched something kpop related here I am, rewatching BTS M/V’s and reliving my childhood. “New Jeans will change K-pop” and it did. If anyone ever saw this, thank you for reading my thoughts.
Never heard the coming of age perspective. I almost cried at the end because things will never be as they used to. I miss the times I spent with friends during my school years
I recently realize that newjeans is that type of kpop group that really close to our real life. From the songs- their songs aren't that hard to digest and we can sing along and never get bored BUT also not that type of tiktok thingy song. Secondly, the dance. Their dance is not that type of hard or 100% synced dance, but it's really just like how girls in their teenage having enjoy with their friends! But it doesn't mean it's not good enough! And the third, their mvs. It's really close to our real life 🥹 it looked simple but it's literally hard to make 🥲. All abt newjeans is just so weird but in the best way ever
this song I repeat it several times because it gives a vibe and sometimes it's sad because of the backstory of the music video. so Jordan we want you to react some newjeans's mv, awesome vid reaction tho.
NEWJEANS is truly the biggest GG of this generation. The concepts, the songs, the visuals, the choreography, the vocals. Everything about them just makes you smile and nostalgic. I love that they give relax and fun energy
19:00 You made me cry here, no i cried while watching the whole video , I just realized how time flies and only memories remain and it makes me a bit sad but your words at the end It made my tears not stop
Jordan, you really have to react to “OMG” by new jeans!!! The storyline was even crazier and so fun to watch! The editing was so damn good! I promise you would love this so much!!! 😆
Started watching with no idea whatsoever about this song but was crying by the end 😭😭😭❣️ thank you Jordan for explaining this so well. I didn't even relate that much till the evry end because I've never had that huge group of friends but I love my kpop groups and I was bawling when you told me it was about the idol fan relationship ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for this video
Ditto is amazing, the first couple of times I watched A and B on my own and cried, I read the comment theories on the MV's and afterwards realized I couldn't watch the MV's without crying, I won't cry while listening to the music, but watching the MV gets to me.
I’m 31 now but started listening to kpop at 14. I still go back to watch my old groups like DBSK, big bang, super junior… such a nostalgic feeling. I’ve started getting into the new 4th gen groups as well. I did move away from kpop in my early twenties and never thought I would be back into it, yet here I am now again in my thirties as an adult. Have so many memories from high school days with kpop and to be able to enjoy those feelings and connections again now that I’m older is truly something special. I definitely connected to this music video, thank you for your break down!
I got into K-pop in 1999 when I was in 6th grade. When I got into high school, I needed to build that confidence I lacked, and K-pop influenced my personality and character. In 2000, K-pop was unknown in the Philippines, and I introduced it to some of my high school friends. In college (2006-2010), I had more fond memories of K-pop with my classmates as it was already gaining more fans by that time. Now that I am married and have moved to another country, I sometimes go back to listening to K-pop to relieve me from stress, from being saturated with work, to revisit that feeling I felt when those songs back in the early 2000s were just newly released. Until now, I have had my nights singing old fave pop songs, mostly ballads from Sung Si-Kyung, Kim Gun-Mo, Yoon Jong-shin, and MC the Max. I listen and sing to them with my husband nearby or beside me. I can tell he likes them too, as he never complained about how I would sing loudly with the song. He was never into K-pop, but these days would find himself humming to those songs I would play ❤️ Thank you, Kpop, my dear best friend for 24 years. I can close my eyes and relive all the past summers with SES songs or 여름안에서 playing in the background. In winter time, I would listen to BMK’s 하루살이 or SM Town’s 2003 Winter Vacation. Just so many memories! ❤
I found tears streaming down my face the first time I watched Ditto. Something about it really hit me deeply and has stuck with me since. The imagery of the fawn in the distance was especially impactful. I was a really lonely kid who felt so separated from my peers and unable to connect no matter how hard I tried. I lived in my imagination most of the time. I could really relate to the feeling of being outside looking in; that feeling of deliberately separating yourself when all you want is to be closer, that I feel like is shown through the MV as she’s using the camera to separate herself from her peers. I’m 29 now but I can still feel that lonely child somewhere inside me. The whistle sound at the beginning is so nostalgic for me for some reason, like I’ve heard it all my life even though I know I haven’t. It feels like drifting off back to the hazy dreamland of being young. That feeling of innocence and youth is still so present for me, even all these years later.
4:40 I'm glad you're actually mentioned this! I always find it so cute because it is imperfectly perfect to tell a story in this MV. I could say their music videos are amazingly produced especially "Ditto" and "OMG". It will leaves you with a big question and keep coming back to look for clues and to find out the meaning behind each act. For Ditto, it has been emotional for me when I actually learnt the meaning behind it, which makes me feeling kinda scared to adore them too much. Heesoo in her young age reminds me of myself now with NewJeans. I'm too attached with their videos, and it makes me sad thinking that eventually I have to let them go from my life. But, I'm still rooting for them and wish for more and more happy years for NewJeans.
I literally cried watching the last bits of the MV while eating my McD burger 😭 tears just got out suddenly without me realising it. I always listened to this music but never watched the MV before until I saw your commentary because I love your reactions and theories. I read some of the comments here too and it seems like its not just me who has the same feelings of sadness and nostalgia. As I am writing this, my tears still won't stop. Indeed Kpop and Kdrama was my passion and it still is, but there were some moments that made me lose interests or when life is just too busy while growing up. I feel like I am writing my diary here but at least I am able to let out my emotions and share this to anyone who is reading this. P.S. thank you Jordan for sharing and don't stop making videos
i'm 27, soon turning 28, and honestly never in my wildest dreams did i think i would get sucked into stanning a genZ k-pop group but here i am. my day starts with NJ songs, i listen to them constantly in between breaks to get that edge off, and i end my day with the same songs. i'm actually scared atp because i've never been THIS addicted to a set of songs before. like everyone has already mentioned, it's those ✨vibes ✨ NJ have them perfected! mastered! and seriously? KUDOS to them! i've mentioned this before, but NewJeans is not just a k-pop group, they are a revolution, and i'm here for them!
I’m so glad I decided to watch your reaction/analysis. I have been hearing new jeans on TikTok a lot, and wanted to check out their music videos and such and I was interested to hear your take. Watching this and your video as a 29-year-old K-pop Stan, who has been listening for over a decade brings a lot of nostalgia. the relationships that we have with K-pop idols is a strange one, but still very real. The kind of mood boosts and encouragement I get from my favorite groups feelfeels similar to that of what I get from friends in my real life. It’s important for us to recognize the dangers of putting too much faith in these para social relationships, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t hold any value at all. I’m so encouraged by the new generation and their thirst for authenticity, I really think it’s what the world needs now. As always, thanks for the work, you put into these videos!
I’ve said it a lot but I’m gonna say it again; the song and MV of Ditto just tickles the part of my brain that I didn’t know exist. It’s so dreamy and almost feels like a backroom vibe tbh 😅
I don't think most people in other countries other than Korea would understand. Watching this music video for the first time, I felt so sad about this reality that I shed tears without even realizing it.
I believe, with the way they have debuted and made first comeback, they will be anticipated in the next cb/album maybe? not only their music, but also their concept and ofc their music video, from attention, hype boy, cookie, hurt until ditto and omg, they served different persona in each mv, gosh cant wait for their next release!
Wow, I actually cried after watching this video and hearing Jordan’s explanation of the two MVs. I grew up with Kpop (2nd gen). It all started with being a fan of 2NE1, Super Junior, and all the well-known 2nd gen groups. I was only 12 back then. My whole teenage life was centered around Kpop until I grew older and went to college. I suddenly became busy with school and eventually met a guy and totally forgot about my whole kpop life. I would still see them often on the internet but my priorities changed. Years later, I graduated from college and started working. I did not end up with that guy from college too. I would occasionally here the old kpop songs play randomly and it gives me this sudden rush of nostalgia. Sometimes I will just listen to 2nd gen kpop songs to calm me down because every time I hear these songs it brings me back to those days when these songs were first released and when I was still young. Life back then was much simple than the adult like and it will always make me so emotional as I listen down memory lane. So watching this video made me emotional because I can totally relate to it. ❤ And also! Ban Hee Soo has her own YT channel. Hands down to New Jeans’ productions team and everyone involved!🙌🏼
Great reaction to a fantastic pair of videos. I fell in love with them instantly after watching these and hearing al their songs. Can't wait to see how far they can go.
I love the authenticity of this and I also love it when groups perfect their craft into a perfect dance. I love that new jeans is making authenticity not be looked down on. Neither is lazy or too robotic it’s just how it fits their song and art. LOVE your reactions per usual
thank you for reminding us the impact of editing, I love how you keep on pointing out the story from the perspective of editing technique YOU'RE THE BEST! 🥺💖
I have been a kpop fan for years now and I never thought I would cry at the plot of one. Here I am now after watching ditto its such a heartwarming story.
i may be a whole year late but i relate to ban heesoo i may be only 13 but this MV brought me to tears. i listened to this song so much but now... with all the stress of exams, pressure i just remember that carefree life when i was younger... i dont know why but this song...
Why are you not bigger.. such an amazing break down and you do it without being condescending or superior.. you just make it real and make it accessible. Love your stuff. Thank you.
The storytelling, music, cinematography EVERYTHING is so good about this MV. They have put so much effort that even Ban Hee Soo has her own RUclips channel, which really brings the story to life. For those that don’t know about it, here’s the link: youtube.com/@banheesoo
your last little bit about being a fan and how fans can outgrow kpop and look back on memories of their idols or their performances with a smile and remember how happy they made us, ngl that got me teared up PHEW 😢 i watched ditto side b mv first and it felt more devastating seeing what was wrong immediately vs being lead into it if i had started with side a so i felt pretty grim after, but those last statements suddenly felt so much more hopeful and how i’d like to look back on this mv and song from now on. great job as always, jordan! really admire your work
I was watching this video and then my neighbor came and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. I then went and rented a projector in a big field and my entire town watched it and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful. Thank You for this video….
Ooof, Jordan -- I've watched your videos for a long time, and this was your most heartfelt analysis yet. So well done, thank you! I'm in my 50s, and while I enjoy K-pop a ton now at this phase of my life, I can absolutely look back at bands I worshipped in my adolescence and have those same feelings of being seen and understood better by music/groups/videos than by the confusion in my own life.

new jeans did really change kpop
They did🥹.
tbh new jeans is under an incredible production team, not just the girls are talented, but the whole production team is amazing. It's definitely new generation of kpop. Idol might be a culture, but when music turns into form of art, they aren't just idol, they are artists
It all started by SM many years ago with fx and exo. Yall act as if it all new
@@KKKK-bl4cg I mean can't deny that since the creative director (Min Heejin) who was behind f(x)'s most acclaimed works (Pink Tape, and 4Walls) is literally the creative director who formed and is playing a huge role in NewJeans' concepts, marketing, and creative direction.
@@inoriya i guess you didnt understand my comment.
omg this
normalize liking NewJeans not only because of their visuals, but because they are talented, amazing, beautiful, precious peoples. words cannot describe how amazing they are
istg, you’re so right,i’m so happy that newjeans is a new group that actually thinks about a really and true storyline:))they really have so much talent, love them
fr, who cares about muh pedophilia when they make good music
Their music is so refreshing it's hard not to listen to their songs, it is THAT good
Trust me people mostly like newjeans because of their good music, mv, concepts, talent, and their lovable personalities and visuals are just a plus point.

lemme just get this out. i cried while watching this video of yours. and i didn't even notice i was crying until it turned into uncontrollable wailing. all songs and music videos like this one are art and its meanings really depend on the audience's views, beliefs, and experiences but your explanation of the ditto mv just hit me so damn hard i'm literally crying my heart out in the bathroom as i'm typing this out. i used to be super into kpop when i was in high school. back when snsd and 2ne1 were at the top of the kpop food chain. it made me so happy learning songs, practicing choreos, watching reality kpop. all that changed when i got into college where life and adulting pressure started. even more when i got pregnant, got married, had a baby. and although my husband and baby are both lovely, having a baby at 23 made me HAVE TO mature even faster than women my age - like my youth was taken away from me. maybe that's why i felt so emotional when i got to attend a kpop concert weeks ago and why i still couldn't get over it until now. for a brief couple of days, i feel like i'm 13 again - singing, dancing, cheering my heart out. i felt like i was young again
anyway i could never listen to ditto the same way ever again
너무 감동적이에요 당신이 행복하길 바랍니다❤️
Girl same i cant stop crying k kept on getting chils
Growing out of childhood, but remembering to cherish your youth and the memories. What a concept I wish that I had known before.
I hope you're doing well, we'll feel those happy moments when we rewatch our memories.
The way you lyin ain’t nobody would cry to this song

And it did.
It did?

Currently, Ditto of New Jeans is maintaining the No. 1 spot on the Korean charts for 28 days. 2nd and 3rd place are also New Jeans' OMG and Hypeboy!
These girls are ruling the K-pop market.
They have 430+ PAKs !!!
PAK = Perfect All Kill
Defined as when a song is at number one on the real-time, day and weekly parts of the iChart.

It will be really interesting to see how they develop their sound and visual identity as the girls get older. As the girl crush/boss bitch concept kind of dominated kpop in last several years and is still going strong, it's awesome that this kind of concept has so much success.
It's kinda silly that this authenticity is sold by a corporation, but that IS the most gen z thing about it actually.
it takes a lot of money, study and effort to make it look effortless and authentic after all

They seem like female EXO, Bigbang, or early BTS.
Loona concept.
SM Entertainment is the concept.
Newjeans is basically the same as TripleS, Weeekly, Purple Kiss, Class:y and XG. Newjeans is similar to Exo, Red Velvet, Girls Generation, Loona, Le Sserafim, Mimiirose, Primrose, IVE, Itzy, Twice, Blackpink, Mamamoo.
The producer worked for SM it's SM concept.
All I can is that we finally get to see a group that is breaking the overused K-pop formula. I love the fresh take this group gives that the industry really needed for quite a while now. This will definitely shake things up within the industry and will try to copy the trend they started.
min hee jin said that trend is a loop. so whenever something new is being overuse, just bring back the old ones. That's why NewJeans succeeded ^^
Gotta say, I love the ending of this video. I got into K-pop much later in my life than most people, so I look at it through a different lens. It's so easy to get cinical about it all, and there are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike so much of what fandom is, but this warms my cold heart. I almost cried.
well, i cried

Doesn’t New Jeans remind you of SNSD?
@@Hello-xz7iu in a sense they do. Mostly for their fresh and ‘innocent’ concept at the moment. Reminds me of ‘Into the New World’ SNSD. They also evoke a certain melancholic feeling.

Same. I've been a kpop fan for more than 10 years. I know how it feels like to go back and watch my old favorite kpop groups, and the impact it had on me in my personal life. Small detail: NewJeans calls their fans “bunnies.” The protagonist’s name is Byun Hee Soo, which sounds like “Bunny Soo.”
I found the initials of byun hee soo so fitting to the mv because she watches the memories through VHS
also saying bunnies in the konglish way, it kinda sounds like byun hee soo if you say it fast.
17:59 "She remembers all the good times that she had when she was younger, even though she's moved past it, she can look back on the memories with fondness [...] That's just the idol-fan relationship."
I was very moved from that moment on because I can only agree with your reasoning.
Finally, looking back, I said the exact same thing to myself :
"Lots of time when you get older, you grow out of Kpop. That's just the reality of it. But even when you're older, you can always go back, you can always go watch some of those old nostalgic groups that you've watched and you can remember all the good memories. You can be like : I liked these guys."
U try to say after u fall in love with someone, the love for k-pop disappear? Well, I don't want to fall in love with anyone

Their company messed up with cookie but after that I feel like they prioritized not s*xualizing them
@@mmmazayyy i agree with you.
@@mmmazayyy that was definitely very f-d up
I honestly feel like kpop idols of any age are way less sexualized than the typical Hollywood young stars that are made to writhe around on stage almost n*ked and calling it woman empowerment… like honestly kpop seems like one or two step up from kidzbop.
They seem like female EXO, FX, Red Velvet, Taeyeon, female Bigbang, or female early BTS.

This comment !! 26 year old male here. Been into kpop since 2011 High school. Man sometimes I look back at my old memories in high school to now. Seeing where I’m at. Thinking about times where I didn’t had to worry about bills etc. like it just hit me in the feels.
This video is Keemstar's interpretation of Kpop!
that's the purpose of the kpop to discuss on real issues and new jeans just cross the expectations already. This mv is a masterpiece
Christianity is true after all. Idols, and idol worship, come and go, but God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are forever.
I hope more people can appreciate newjeans not only for being talented, having amazing visuals. But their concept is so meaningfull!
It's really lovely!
more than genz i think their concept is simply girlhood, on their videos you see women of literally every age going “reminds me of me and my friends in the 80's/90'0/00'0 etc” every girl that is a teen or older see themselves and their past in their concept that’s why i believe they’re getting so big, following them feels like watching a coming of age movies marathon lol
i also think ppl were craving a group that didn’t express a “boss b*tch high maintenance unattainable regina george like* persona but one that celebrated being a regular typical girl
I don't even think this was catered to Gen Z, per se. It's more of the immense creativity that can be produced by some genius wanting to produce something never before seen. I mean, go ask the CEO Min Hee Jin.
To me ditto is beautiful and devastating at the same time both as a kpop fan and a person that has struggled with maladaptive daydreaming all my life
been struggling with maladaptive daydream for most my life now and it really hurts to feel nostalgic over things that i never really experienced in real life but only through my imagination. but i guess that's what makes "ditto" better. relating to it to an extent feels almost bittersweet.
BTS was the first to make authentic and non-traditional music in K-pop but Ditto is doing it in a different way. I love it 🥰
I just hope they don't end up changing and doing the same generic stuff everyone else is
@@WE__BTS No disrespect to BTS, they are obviously great and deserve everything they accomplished.

This is the first mv that make me feel so emotional that I cry😢
I’ve NERVER cried so much watching a K-pop MV. I found myself bawling. Cuz my memories from my teenage and school life in general were very sad and complicated, and that’s why I was so connected with music. Wow just a masterpiece
You hit the nail on the head with the theory! As a fellow editor and film student, ditto MV is an absolute masterpiece on all aspects of film making.
Trueee
I agree
New jeans are a breathe of fresh air, really. Last year comeback's and releases were just loud music and then New Jeans came with the refreshing, nostalgic, Y2k performance/music.
They also incorporate dance moves which were popular in the early 2000s in k-pop.
The videos were all so present well
I had the exact same thought. Groups I usually love gave up their more melodic songs for the same trashy dubpstep that became mainstream. Newjeans have rhythm and an almost relaxing sound that’s unlike no other. Gave me hope for girl groups
Same! I didn’t like that much 3rd gen groups because it was all so formulaic release after release. I’m getting into Kpop again because of NewJeans
Got tired of kpop because of its formulaic and repetitive approach. Got back into kpop exactly because of NewJeans. They're the next big thing.
the whole story and meaning behind ditto just makes me wanna cry,it’s so relatable
Came back to this amazing video after Newjeans won SOTY for Ditto and Artist of the Year at the 2 biggest Korean music awards shows.
Please tell me more about them, I just fell in love with k pop cus of them and I really like how natural they are.
This video represents that and I think a lot of us can relate
Loving New Jeans.
This MV reminds me of how I never had anyone in my life that shared my interest of kpop or dancing and how I've always had to do it alone in my room. It was very lonely and I cry thinking about it. Now I'm almost 30 and feel like i wasted a passion and childhood with no memories to show for it. There are no classes near me to take and posting on social media will make ppl think " A 30yr old dancing to teen kpop music seems too lame to do now" idk..😔 anyway great video.
im not even an adult yet lol but smth i will say is that the best thing to do is enjoy life. don't stop liking what u like/doing what u do j bc u don't wanna be judged, bc smth to keep in mind is that ppl r gonna judge regardless. you will never get this time back. you'll never be 30 again. so the best thing to do is j do what u like and enjoy it to the absolute fullest. ive seen ppl around ur age who like kpop too, so you can def find ppl online, prob irl too.
this saying is super overused, ik, but we live on a floating rock in space. we're literally like microscopic ants compared to the vastness of the universe. our time here is limited, and most ppl don't even live to 100. time is fleeting, so enjoy things. u don't have to enjoy everything ofc bc that wouldn't make any sense, esp bc life is full of ups & downs, but just .... idk. live ur life how u want to :] and don't let anyone take that away from u
sorry if this is rlly long lmao

Damn you really got me with that last part. I’ve liked kpop since i was 11, and I’m 27 now. Going back and watching old videos takes me back to my younger, more innocent days. I look back with fondness and appreciation for these groups that brought me happiness in some hard times in my childhood/adolescence.
In a way, they are a breath of fresh air and authenticity in a genre that became so generic and commercialized.

sorry for the TMI. i just think i had to let it out while sobbing.
You made me cry 😭. I thought I was the only one feeling the same way
I'm the same age you and I always felt the same way... That I'm kinda left behind for some unknown reason. Idk what to say but just know you aren't alone in that battle. Have a great day!
I really think the meaning of 'idol' by this MV.

No one will see this comment and I’m sure of that but I’m still gonna share my thoughts:
Kpop.

Fun fact at 4:41 Minji says that she made a mistake for the choreo but I guess the editors kept it in anyway since it matched the vibe of the mv
Jordan, you really have to react to “OMG” by new jeans!!! The storyline was even crazier and so fun to watch! The editing was so damn good! I promise you would love this so much!!! 😆

They said « let’s do the total opposite of Blackpink » and that’s a good marketing choice
If ever there is a award as best music video award new Jean's is definitely winning it

jordan ... i didnt even realise that they messed up the choreo on purpose until u pointed it out sir... u r a geniouse
i'm 27, soon turning 28, and honestly never in my wildest dreams did i think i would get sucked into stanning a genZ k-pop group but here i am. my day starts with NJ songs, i listen to them constantly in between breaks to get that edge off, and i end my day with the same songs. i'm actually scared atp because i've never been THIS addicted to a set of songs before. like everyone has already mentioned, it's those ✨vibes ✨ NJ have them perfected! mastered! and seriously?
Believe me I’m from Brazil I’m 26 years old and I was bawling my eyes out. I don’t know just touched me deeply.
am a filo fan and gal it pained my ears and eyes, its lovely and sad ad beautiful at the same time..
하품해서 나온 눈물일거야
They are like a female Verivery.
SM Entertainment is the concept.
And also! Ban Hee Soo has her own YT channel. Hands down to New Jeans’ productions team and everyone involved!🙌🏼
Bruv the moments you've explained the meaning behind the MV's I was already crying my eyes out lmao
I think the MV goes way deeper than what New Jeans said it was about. Kind of felt really deep emotions when I watched it!
Great reaction to a fantastic pair of videos. I fell in love with them instantly after watching these and hearing al their songs. Can't wait to see how far they can go.
Bro it has been i year and rewatching this, I cried the second time I watched and not the first time.
I always get emo when I watch taeyang's wedding dress tho
I’m so proud of them and what they achieved last year I hope the best to my girls for 2023
i may be a whole year late but i relate to ban heesoo i may be only 13 but this MV brought me to tears. i listened to this song so much but now... with all the stress of exams, pressure i just remember that carefree life when i was younger... i dont know why but this song...

Gugudan concept.
The best video editor, not only editor he tells us about theories too! Waiting for your video's daily. Jordan is the best reaction channel ❤️
your last little bit about being a fan and how fans can outgrow kpop and look back on memories of their idols or their performances with a smile and remember how happy they made us, ngl that got me teared up PHEW 😢
i watched ditto side b mv first and it felt more devastating seeing what was wrong immediately vs being lead into it if i had started with side a so i felt pretty grim after, but those last statements suddenly felt so much more hopeful and how i’d like to look back on this mv and song from now on. great job as always, jordan! really admire your work
This MV is more than just a video, it teaches us to let go of what has happened to us, and free ourselves from the shadows of our past.
