I don't think it should be a requirement for kpop idols to speak english, but it's refreshing to see a group where none of the members are left out in these types of interviews. Everyone had their time to shine ^^
i think it should be, atleast if they want to promote and gain more fame in the west and get western fans and more international fans as english is the most spoken language and a universal language. but also many of kpop idols songs have alot of english in them and some are even in full english. it doesnt sit fully right with me that they create and have english songs and try to promote in the west but cant even speak the language. and yeah newjeans interviews are very nice

i am a strong believer that to have a good group dynamic, the unnie line has to be good in directing the younger members as well. i've seen it in 2ne1, snsd, twice, lesserafim and i can see it in newjeans too. i love the way minji, hanni, danielle collectively carry the team and hype hyein and haerin, which makes them comfortable to watch. you can clearly see how they look after each other genuinely.
They are so natural & not forced. Love their vibe! So chill & supportive of one another. I hope they never change! Their personalities are so wholesome!

Dani is so articulate in English. We only get to hear her English around 5% of the time. It's a nice surprise. Also, Mindy's English has been improving extremely fast. She's more comfortable using English words in this video compared to their last fully English interview. I can't wait for for interviews and videos in English!
Well of course she's Australian. Her choice of words are superb. She speaks quite eloquently considering her age. She can also read and write in Korean.
