Wow, thanks for pointing that out, I didn't notice that subtle hand tapping when they were holding hands. That makes the scene even more emotional, wow!
Tae acted in a drama called Hwarang in 2016 and won an award for it. That is where he met Park Hyungsik and Park Seojoon, his bffs. I recommend it, young Tae was adorbs there.. 💜
@menohero_menovillian I watched it last year on Netflix. It's also in Viu and Viki, I think.. yes, their storyline in their mvs really trained Tae and the other members in their acting
Here's everything you might have missed: 1) IU is deaf/mute and V is blind in one eye. IU uses sign language in the dinner table. 2) The cube (the director said it is called "nemo") represents the society which discriminates against people having disabilities or those who are simply different (often considered as misfits) thus eliminating them. (the pile of clothes: The pile of clothes also reminds you of BTS "Spring day"MV which also features it 3) The camrecorder shows how the world would have been if the society didn't discriminate against them. They would have gotten married happily. 4) The scene where they are at the restaurant and the scene where she is on stage singing in her wedding dress, you can see how the people around covered in black are all pointing their fingers at Tae and IU (represents how harshly the world judges them especially in their happy moments) 5) The whole mv was mainly shown from the pov of IU. You can see how she always put herself in the danger first and tries to protect Tae, how tenderly she loved him, her touches were so gentle as she saw his normal eye through the cam. But Tae loved her too. At the end of their life, he puts himself in front and tried to break the box. They both are equally scared but when time comes, they can sacrifice themselves for the other. This is true love. 6) IU taps three times on Tae's shoulder during the scene where he grabs her hand tightly. The three taps translates to "I love you" in sign language.
@@j_935 The makers of the music video seem to have decided to symbolize society by a geometric shape. In that case, cube(box) would have been a more appropriate candidate than any other shapes (e.g. a sphere). As the expression "crumple into a box" shows, everything must be fitted into the shape of a box for it to be put into a box. Likewise, everybody is supposed to fit into the form a society enforces on him/her to be accepted by the society. In that sense, a cube is a good metaphor for society. Just my thoughts.^^
The cube 'Nemo' represents the discrimination towards marginalized people (symbolized in IU being mute and Taehyung being blind in one eye). They stayed together till the end with their love sustained, free from all oppression and pressure from society. LOVE WINS ALL!
@@misty-mad IU has a hearing disorder called Patulous Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and if untreated it can lead to hearing loss. She mentioned it after/during the 'Golden Hour' concerts.
@@sairokat8301 Oh okay thankq for letting me know! I'm really new to her stuff, I actually started following her because of her bodyguard lmao but she has a beautiful voice! I was mostly replying to the person saying this video was about marginalized people and was more curious as to how they figured that out or whether she'd actually said that was what it was about.

I cried when the wedding dress and V’s outfit fell past the chandelier!!! I was sobbing. Tears started rolling once IU covered V’s good eye and then when the clothes fell that was it!!! THIS WAS A TREMENDOUS MOVIE VIDEO!!!!!
There are so many layers of story telling and metaphors and the director has explained what the storyline is. It’s a beautiful way for him to convey the message. In addition to this one part of my interpretation is based on the fact that Tae is blind in one eye and has burn scars around that eye. You can see at the beginning he is looking vulnerable, fragile and afraid. IU is leading him and is protective throughout. My interpretation is that he had encountered the cube before and narrowly escaped being captured and so is going through all the emotions from it. At the end, you see IU trying to protective him by picking up the metal bar because (to me) she knows what he went through and wants to protect him. And Tae taking the bar and attacking the cube looks to me like he knows what the cube is capable of and despite his fear of it, he wants to protect her. At the end it didn’t work and you can see the cube glow red with heat and smoke coming off their bodies (burn marks around his eyes). The ending was so poignant. The song was amazing and felt more epic because of the storyline and visuals. They have great chemistry, first with the amazing duet they did on IU’s Palette and now with their acting skills, not to mention their interactions as friends. It’s so good to see Tae being able to express his acting skills even in a 5minute short. I hope he starts doing movies on his return. This movie really makes everyone feel emotional and they did that with their facial expressions, truly stunning. IU is queen for a reason and Tae our idol of idols never disappoints in his unique take on life and the choices he makes, whether to make an album of music he likes or to act in a short film all choices with a sad, emotionally moving ending. He wants his artistry to move us emotionally rather than hit the top spots on charts. Love these two artists. It’s time to stop calling this kpop. These two with their amazing acting, packed in 5 mins all the emotions to convey the storyline (top tier level) that most kdramas do in 16 episodes.
I really like what you said here. They both have transcended regular Kpop. It is true that instead of focusing on topping the charts, their song choices are the ones to really register in our hearts for the long term and move us emotionally deeply.
the fact that she got sick from recording the mv and still recorded the song after while being sick is just amazing. It really shoes her love for her craft and her fans!
Such a beautiful MV. I didn't realise the director was a movie director - it makes sense why so many reactors say it feels like they're watching a movie. Did you also see the credits at the end? There's a credit for a special guest lol.
That ending is even more impactful because the whole time we see IU taking the initiative to protect V and lead him away from the Cube, but when he grabs the pipe from IU it's like he is saying "no, you have been protecting me all this time, now i am going to protect you" but he fails and then she ends up still protecting him by covering his eye. Even though she is also afraid, she still thinks of protecting him from seeing their ending. It's like her telling him, it's okay. I am here. We will leave this world together.
Jordan, you are not alone. LOTS of people cried watching this MV. And there will be more to come. IU is very well-known for her vocals no matter what style she sings in. She can do Hopeful, she can do Sorrowful, she's really JUST THAT GOOD; absolutely World-Class as a vocalist. Besides that, IU is an Actress and has been in a few different things that international fans know of. Her credentials are really impressive. As an actress, she would know how to convey emotion but she knew how to do that before she got into acting. Her own real-life experience as a child is not the greatest background story, bad enough that she has been homeless herself. She knows pain, she knows hunger, she knows hopelessness. But she did live through all of that so her perspective is far different than many people who are at the top of the Entertainment sector (many of them having been born to privilege). She has seen the dark side to society so she has knowledge of certain traps, she's not stupid nor ignorant. She can spot fake people and knows a rat when she smells one, she knows about scams and how to avoid them. She has LIVED as if she is twice the age her birth date claims. IU is one of the most solid, hard-working people in Korean Entertainment; I compare her to Scarlett O'Hara in the garden, swearing that she will NEVER go hungry again. And now in Korea, IU is apparently the Top-Grossing Soloist in Music (I am not sure about from the Acting angle but let's just say she is 'Well-Off'). She's also a real SWEETHEART; reports from every fan, other actors, other Soloists and Idols who have met or worked with her say that she is one of THE MOST NICE people in Korea. EVERYBODY just loves her to pieces. She gives to charities often. Just a total and complete beautiful soul.
V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭😭😭❤❤😮😢❤
4:48 and 14:03 Finally, someone pointed it out!! I have watched tons of reaction videos to this MV since its release and everyone's been raving about the acting. While it is true that their acting is indeed commendable, I think very few were able to notice that the music and IU's voice are heavily influencing the mood for this MV and the emotions drawn out from the viewer. A part of me is a little sad that because the acting and cinematography were so good, the actual song kind of took a back burner (by just a bit!). I just feel like it wasn't emphasized enough how hauntingly beautiful the song was. Oh well, this is an MV after all so yeah, we understand. But overall, this MV is such a masterpiece - the whole package. Everything was insanely good! Kudos to everyone behind this work of art. Btw, great reaction vid! You were able to capture both the big picture and the tiny details.
I think it was the emotion in her voice that i noticed first. It was partly due to i was working while listening to this song for the first time and didn't pay attention to the video. And her voice alone made me want to cry. When i saw the video finally on my second watch, i lost it completely. IU's voice is magical.
Can we just appreciate the fact that IU recorded this song while sick and coughing? Coughing so much so, her and her staff were joking about her coughing up blood? The amount of dedication she has as well as her voice even while sick is just... just wow.
This is the reaction I've been looking forward to the most and it was worth the wait! After this MV I would really love to see a film with IU and V, they are crazy good together, Btw, I've read the cube is actually hunting for guests for Suga's Suchwita.
Maybe it's Yoongi who is the person running with it in the behind the scenes video haha. I know it's not since he's in the military but I'm gonna picture it as him
If you haven’t cried enough look closely at that close up of V’s face when she covers his eye. You can see the smoke beginning to the right of that close up. Took me several times to see that. But it is so beautiful. Trying be there and protect each other until the very end. 😭
Let me add another observation. Just as IU covers V's good eye, you see his gaze shift from the cube slightly as he realises the finality of what is happening through her gesture. It was the tiny details like that, that had me in tears. How they condensed what could have been easily a 2 hour movie in less than 5 minutes is insane talent.
Well as a war survivor. I'm Syrian okay I've literally lived this. And my fiancée did too. You can't imagine how seriously it touched my heart. I can't believe people commenting or trying to talk about my pain. Dad always told me love wins all but now I finally understand this while choosing my white dress. Thanks for changing my universe in just one video bro. You deserve an Oscar just for being a HUMAN😢❤
yess the director really knew what he was doing with 2 talented artists glad I watched a reaction pointing out some of the amazing details he put in this work and how he basically highlighted their talents (acting and singing) with his directing editing skills. as a tae fan this mv was so satisfying to watch since it made taehyung really shine.
When I first watched this, I was emotional right away. Her voice was so innocent, so pure. Every element fit like a puzzle piece. Their acting was spectacular and the storyline was woven perfectly. And as you said, She had been protecting him, then he protected her. I was already a mess but when she put her hand over his good eye, I was ugly crying, hard. I couldn't not bare the ending. Their clothing landing on the pile of clothing. I was devastated.
IU is a very unique singer and is known as a national treasure in South Korea. She encountered financial difficulties in her family when she was a child, so she determined to become an "adult" who could support her own life earlier. Because she likes singing, she decided to be a singer. She hoped to connect the hearts between "I and YOU" through music with emotions, so she took the stage name "IU". Originally, she wanted to be a traditional ballad singer when she debuted, but because too young, she did not gain much attention from the public in that time(when she is only 15). Later, the entertainment company tried to package her as an idol singer and achieved great success (in the year she was 18). But when she became very popular with the public at the age of 21 with her beautiful appearance and cheerful personality, she decided to regain her original ambition and embark on a completely different path from ordinary Kpop......She remake songs more than 20-years-old, and re-introduced the popular culture of the previous generation to the younger generation, and received a very good response from public. From then on, Koreans no longer viewed her as an idol with only a sweet image, but instead viewed her with respect as a real "artist of music" who contributed to popular culture. In additional to her famous angelic voice just like moonlight, she is also known for her versatility and is an award-winning singer, music producer, lyricist, also a top-tier actress and model. She has many popular songs composed by herself. Because she has held the belief that "love will eventually win" for many years, she wrote the lyrics and produce the project herself, and specially asked the film director she had collaborated with to film this MV.(The directer won the 2023 Blue Gragon Films Award of Korea)
I am 63 and haven't cried like ths video made mecry since I saw Titanic thefirt 6 times....yes all 6 times it slayed me totally and something about knowing V as much as I feel like I do know about him & his years, from watching his journey from high school until now reall made me feel their loss. I think some look at it like they went on to live in some other realm but to me that was not what I got from it's ending.
The lyrics "our longstanding loneliness, finding its antonym" the answer could be short-term happiness. This MV shows that the small window of happiness that they experienced is enough to overcome all obstacles. Loved your reaction ❤
OMG I'm at work watching this and I'm getting tears in my eyes. No matter how many times I watch this I get chills, especially knowing the deeper meaning behind as I and my younger brother live with a disability 😢
When I watched the music video the first time I absolutely cried my eyes out. I totally forgot to read the translation but IU’s hauntingly beautiful voice told me everything I needed to know without even understanding Korean.. that’s how much the song came through. Their acting is so so so great and their chemistry is out of this world. Honestly one of the best music videos I’ve ever seen in my life so far!
She recorded this song while sick, hearing her live in concert had so much more emotion I cried even without the video. This song had the loudest reaction afterwards as well. I feel like we were all brought back to the video because her voice and her singing was such a key part of conveying the story that it makes it impossible to not hear the song and not think of the mv. Just a masterful piece of work from everybody involved in making this song/mv.
IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... AH I CAN'T STOP CRYING
Your very personal reaction was honestly, to me, a lovely thing This is one of if not THE most lingering tragic videos I’ve seen, and never can keep the floods from pouring out of my eyes. I appreciate the company. I didn’t notice at first, but when she covered his good eye, his gaze dropped from looking up slightly at the cube to just straight ahead, as he had nothing to visually focus on. The exquisite attention to every detail really drives the emotionality in very very deep I love this mini-film with my whole heart
the ending is very touch no matter where you are what u going through i really hope people find one person like this in any form parents , sibling , friend , lovers any form just feel appreciated of their presence like let the world say whatever i m here for you
Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” from the movie Platoon, still to this day is the most emotion evoking song in a movie ever for me. This MV, with the chemistry between these two, the acting, the concept, and IU’s beautiful emotional song, makes this my favorite MV I’ve ever seen. It gets me every time. I need a whole movie for this, or at least a limited series. More please!
The first time I watched and listen ti this I was crying without knowing why. Now I know. And it was so emotional to me coz I'm autistic. Thanks so much 🙏
IU and V both have acting experience. Anfd this MV just shows how perfect they can act together! and also: you cant not NOT cry wh8ile watching this video..... its just too emotional and IUs voice is so pretty
It was truly amazing 😍...her voice is a balm for all wounds, the lyrics are inspiring, and her and V's visuals and acting are something special.💯💜 Did you know that IU is having a world tour this year? definitely go ;)
The way a 5 min music video can play with your emotions like this is true art and what music should be. This is the exact reason why we shouldn’t let AI take over the arts (like music). Music should come from the heart and soul and touch your heart and soul. Emotions is literally what makes us human and we wanna hand that one and only thing we have left to AI 🤦🏻♀️
I really need to stop listening to this song because I'm running out of tears, everytime I watch the MV is a sea of tears. IU and Taehyung are such a strong duo
Spot-on analysis! With #IU, her lyrics come first. She sings and produces her songs always to serve the lyrics. Then she collaborates with MV directors to present the same story from a different angle - it's not just an add-on.
OMG Jordan. My eyes leak every time I watch this video, but listening to you describe the prominent and symbolic details of the various scenes, all while sharing your sorrowful reactions…dude, you had me bawling. You know, the ugly crying kind where you’re gasping for air between sobs. 😭😭😭 Agree wholeheartedly. This music video is exceptional on so many levels. LOVE IT!!!❤
I'm on 2:50 and I had to stop watching I can never control my tears with this MV it's such a masterpiece. I'm just so proud to be an ARMY and I love IU so mucchhhhh.. T.T
Love your explanations. Always on point. The final thing that got me in the end is if you use your highest (RUclips) quality settings, you can actually see um..."dust" floating down through the air in the camcorder viewfinder and a shadow on the right, underneath the camcorder of their shoes/clothes falling. It's even hard for me to type that without tearing up. My goodness, what an amazing MV and incredible filmmaking.
IU 'Love wins all' Track Intro by IU Someone calls this an era of great hatred. It certainly doesn't seem to be a time when love is prevalent. In a gray world that is growing colder with evident hostility and indifference, it feels absurd sometimes to hope that one can win with the invisible weapon of love. However, from my personal experience, even in its moments of triumph, hatred is always alone. On the other hand, no matter how it escapes, becomes broken or fades away, love is stubbornly together. Love has a good chance of winning. This song tells the story of those who try to love to the very end, in a world that prevents them from loving. By the way, for this album which contains five tracks, there are two songs which I dedicate to my loved ones, especially to my fans, and one of them is ‘Love wins all’. From the age of 18, when I suddenly received great love that changed my life overnight, until now - there hasn’t been a single day that I didn’t imagine it ending. It feels vaguely lonely, scary and I thought it was a natural thing to happen. However, upon thinking about that everyday for over a decade, my attitude towards it started to change little by little. Right now, it doesn’t scare me that much anymore. I don’t think I will feel greater regret nor loneliness when that moment comes. Above all, I don’t think it is coming anytime soon. The reason why I, a pessimistic child full of worries, was able to change this much in the meantime is because I have people who tirelessly reassured me every day for the past decade. Thanks to them, looking back, I have never been alone even just for a moment in my life as IU. To my diligent fans who have never left me alone, I want to express my gratitude for endlessly nurturing love in my inherently obstinate heart. Also, I want to say thank you so much for choosing to stay by my side for reasons that I still don’t fully understand. Just like what you have been for me, I also want to be someone who’s there for you in your rising and setting moments. To be the person beside you saying, “Don’t be afraid. Let’s fade away together most splendidly.”* - 2024.1 Jieun // (*t/l note: IU meant that no matter what happens, we’re in this together until the end.) EDAM Ent.: Starting off with a minimal and vintage piano intro and ending in a maximum outro, this ballad with a clear narrative arc continues IU's grand ballad series, which has been well-loved by fans, consisting of songs such as ‘Secret’, ‘Dear Name’, ‘Love poem’ and ‘My sea’. In the second half of the song, the vocals swirl as if in a battle and the instrumental arrangement is reminiscent of a grand symphony, maximizing the emotions conveyed. Rhythms that seem like they are floating in the sky and the harmony themes that build on them enhance the appeal of the 6/8 time signature and the strings that spread out and gently envelop the whole sound add to the breadth and depth of the song. If you follow IU's delicate vocal techniques, the harmony of a wide-ranging melody and the constant build-up, before you realize it, you end up focusing on the note sung by IU’s last breath at the very end. the way i've watched this mv, like, a thousand times and have cried in all of them. such a good and sad history, such amazing acting by them, the song is freaking amazing. it's so so so so good
It always feels good to let it out. My favorite quote is from Jimmy V: "If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special."
I have listened to this song for so many times and I don't cry to it, but would always, always breakdown when rewatching the MV. It's so poignant and emotional.
This music video is just so good, I cried every time I watched it, IU's voice is way too beautiful and the lyrics combined with the visuals just make me so emotional
I must've watched this 100 times & STILL CRY. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 A TRUE MASTERPIECE. They are exceptional actors. Legendary director. Heart soaring music. Talk about planets aligning. V had to go to military 1 week later & temps were freezing on this set. He got sick & still finished shooting. He left us a treasure. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This MV and IU's voice matched perfectly. I can only think of a very few MV's that have drawn out emotions like this, maybe "November Rain" (Guns N Roses), or "Titanium" (Sia), or "Can't Control Myself" (Taeyeon)
I have watched Love Wins All repeatedly and have yet to get through it without crying. It's some of the best storytelling I've seen in ages in a music video, and the direction and filming were so good I felt like I was living this experience with them. IU and V were amazing! As I watched this video, I felt that the disabilities of the two characters represented all of us-that all of us have our own disability whether it shows or not-something that impedes us in life (physical, mental and emotional issues, crippling anxiety, addiction...). No matter what that thing is, no matter how bad or unfixable the situation, loving, helping, and protecting each other brings us through it and/or brings us closure. Love Wins All is an absolutely beautiful mini-movie that touched my soul. 💜💛
And to think that many accused this m/v of being ableist.... Anyway, I love your reactions, Jordan! I love how you explain the possible editing work that's been done in each scene... I also cry each time I watch this m/v , but I full-on ugly cry , it's crazy how some pieces of art can make this to you. Thanks again for a great video, Jordan!
This was such an amazing review of this masterpiece. Thank you! IU & V shined throughout & I cry each time I watch the video or watch video reactions of this mv. The best music video I have seen in a very long time. 😊💜
IU's acting in this reminds me of her role in My Mister (which remains my all time favorite k-drama). That was 16 full episodes of IU communicating so much emotion to the point where she dominates every scene she is in (which was most of them), despite her character not talking very much. I dare anyone to get through that show without tearing up multiple times. I also read somewhere that she learned sign language for that role.
The third song that you put got me tearing up a little bit 🥲 and Love Wins All makes me cry an ocean everytime I see the MV or here the song on Spotify 😭😭😭💜
Nah I was crying to this too- I’ve never been in a relationship, in my entire existence. That’s why I was so confused on how this made me cry. It’s a masterpiece
Thank you! I’ve been waiting for your reaction because you really do some research and your comments are insightful. The way IU sung this song and the way the scenes unfold on screen is so beautiful. That same scene also gets me each time I watch this MV. The last act of love they did is to protect each other until the end.
The thing about Boltanski's piece is that BTS actually referred to it in their Spring Day mv (Suga sits on the pile). I think it's also very telling that Boltanski also did work based on the Holocaust because it's very reminiscent of the concentration camps where Jews would remove all their clothing (they were told they would be deloused) before entering the showers - and the clothing would be the only reminder of the people left - Boltanski was an existentialist and his artwork reflects that.
This artwork and meaning behind it is also the argument in theory (never officially confirmed) that Spring Day as song and mv were written to comfort people who were hurt by sinking of Sewol Ferry and their families (306 people died and nearly 180 were hurt). Most of those people were children.
As far as I know there were 3 Kpop mvs related to Sewol: Spring Day, Red Velvet's One of These Nights, and The Light by The Ark. Even though One of These Nights wasn't written specifically about the tragedy (who knows when the song was originally composed), it was obvious the video was about Sewol - and the fact that Yeri was the same age as many of the kids that drowned makes it even more poignant. Tragedies in a country the size of Korea are especially painful, like the department store collapse in 95 that killed over 500 (which happened just two months after 100 died and 200 were injured in a gas explosion at the subway).@@olakamzelska
@@jamesrawlins735 True, but I was talking especially about piles of clothes which connect IU's and BTS' videos. Oh yeah, the gallery and Daegu incident. I know, I like sort of true crime and Korea is one of countries I like to listen about. "Funny", because most of those tragedies in Korea are caused by people not nature like avalanches or so. All of these tragedies changed Korean society drastically.
IU’s voice has always held this insane ability to emote and draw out emotion -- it’s part of why she’s such a successful and recognized artist
She even recorded he song when she was ill

13:46 when IU hold V, with 3 times movement hand like squeeze, its also means like "dont worry, im always here with you" because IU deaf.
Wow, thanks for pointing that out, I didn't notice that subtle hand tapping when they were holding hands. That makes the scene even more emotional, wow!
I thought it meant i love you.. the more you know hm.
NO DONT I HAVENT CRIED YET BUT NOW I WILL 😭😭😭
dam!
why you gotta make me cry 😢
I knew IU was acting, but I had no idea that V was also great at it! Their chemistry is out of this world and their acting was so so SO good!
V won the Best Idol Actor award for acting in Hwarang a Kdrama back when he was just 19 years old.
Tae acted in a drama called Hwarang in 2016 and won an award for it. That is where he met Park Hyungsik and Park Seojoon, his bffs. I recommend it, young Tae was adorbs there.. 💜
@@madmaddox1139 Thank you so much! I had no idea, I'll go and check it out :)
I can’t find where I can watch Hwarang. But my first introduction to V acting was in “I Need You”. I was so impressed
@menohero_menovillian I watched it last year on Netflix. It's also in Viu and Viki, I think.. yes, their storyline in their mvs really trained Tae and the other members in their acting
Here's everything you might have missed:
1) IU is deaf/mute and V is blind in one eye. IU uses sign language in the dinner table.
2) The cube (the director said it is called "nemo") represents the society which discriminates against people having disabilities or those who are simply different (often considered as misfits) thus eliminating them. (the pile of clothes: The pile of clothes also reminds you of BTS "Spring day"MV which also features it
3) The camrecorder shows how the world would have been if the society didn't discriminate against them. They would have gotten married happily.
4) The scene where they are at the restaurant and the scene where she is on stage singing in her wedding dress, you can see how the people around covered in black are all pointing their fingers at Tae and IU (represents how harshly the world judges them especially in their happy moments)
5) The whole mv was mainly shown from the pov of IU.
Omg I'm literally crying rn. The mv itself without the explanation makes my eye moist and now I'm crying just seeing this explaination
'Nemo' is a Korean word meaning 'rectangle'.
@@3minreview im confused thoo, why exactly a cube/rectangle?? whats that have to do w society
@@j_935the cubes are trying to attack iu and v, which implies how people are ruining k-pop idols.
IU is also deaf im pretty sure !!!! i apologize if this is wrong though 😓

@@misty-mad IU has a hearing disorder called Patulous Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and if untreated it can lead to hearing loss. She mentioned it after/during the 'Golden Hour' concerts.

A little thing that I like is that everything is muted, no sound from the camera, no sfx. Just amazing acting, gorgeous imagery and a beautiful song.
best choice tbh. i dont really like the idea of using environmental sounds in MVs it ruins the listening experience.
and it makes sense, bc it is mainly from iu's perspective and she’s supposed to be deadf
I cried when the wedding dress and V’s outfit fell past the chandelier!!! I was sobbing. Tears started rolling once IU covered V’s good eye and then when the clothes fell that was it!!! THIS WAS A TREMENDOUS MOVIE VIDEO!!!!!
I couldn`t stop being sad.
👏👏👏
I really like what you said here. They both have transcended regular Kpop. It is true that instead of focusing on topping the charts, their song choices are the ones to really register in our hearts for the long term and move us emotionally deeply.
the fact that she got sick from recording the mv and still recorded the song after while being sick is just amazing. It really shoes her love for her craft and her fans!
Such a beautiful MV. I didn't realise the director was a movie director - it makes sense why so many reactors say it feels like they're watching a movie. Did you also see the credits at the end? There's a credit for a special guest lol.
Uhm Taehwa is an award winning director for Concrete Utopia and Korea's submission to the Academy Awards for best international film.
The "I see you peeking" and "close them" on 5:30 made me laugh so hard
I was like, damn it! how did he know! 👀 😅
someone gets caught 😂😂😂
IU too😢
@Itz_LiaYA yeah I love iu so much he so beautiful and his voice sooooooooo so beautiful

The song will preveil. But ppl first need to watch video like 85 times😂. Then you can listen to the music and only listen. 🎶
Lol. Understandable. We have to squeeze out everything we can get from that video because it was just that good.
I have to try it several time, and close my eyes in order to enjoy the beautiful song due to the strong visual impact.
Tirou as palavras dos meu dedos😂, realmente nos primeiros acordes da música eu já estava chorando.
The amount of dedication she has as well as her voice even while sick is just... just wow.
She’s so strong and hardworking! Appreciate it!
I know it's not since he's in the military but I'm gonna picture it as him
lol 😆😆🤣🤣🤣
It really made me cry too at the end and still i do cry whenever I watch the mv..
IU's voice is so pure, It contains lots of emotions. Their acting was incredible as well! Thank you Jordan for taking time to explain the M/V.
I low key cry every time I watch the music video. And it does not help that I miss V so much.
I'm crying every time we get to that point when V grabs the metal rod! And I've seen it over 100 times. I am obsessed!
yess the director really knew what he was doing with 2 talented artists glad I watched a reaction pointing out some of the amazing details he put in this work and how he basically highlighted their talents (acting and singing) with his directing editing skills. as a tae fan this mv was so satisfying to watch since it made taehyung really shine.
No matter how many times I watched this MV I cried everytime
I FUCKING bawled my eyes out
IU is a very unique singer and is known as a national treasure in South Korea.
The fact that IU was not feeling well while recording this song and could still draw out all the emotions.
12:38 notice how she squeezes his shoulder three times specially? This is because three squeezes means “i love you, i am here and i care”
The scene when she covers his good eye with her hand sends everyone over the edge. 😢
It’s a masterpiece. If I’m ever asked what MV is the best, I’ll send them IU’s “Love wins all”
She recorded this song while sick, hearing her live in concert had so much more emotion I cried even without the video.
I have watched this a 1000 times and I cried every time ❤
Your very personal reaction was honestly, to me, a lovely thing This is one of if not THE most lingering tragic videos I’ve seen, and never can keep the floods from pouring out of my eyes.

IU and V both have acting experience. Anfd this MV just shows how perfect they can act together! and also: you cant not NOT cry wh8ile watching this video..... its just too emotional and IUs voice is so pretty
It's the way IU sings "Love wins all" with such passion and they still die for me. Still has a 100% success rate in making me cry
The acting was top tier from both Tae and Jieun, plus the song was a tearjerker, and then the director is fabulous. 🎉🎉🎉
This is my third times watching this MV and i still cried.🥲
They really are amazing actors and thats what helped this music video and the song❤
It was truly amazing 😍...her voice is a balm for all wounds, the lyrics are inspiring, and her and V's visuals and acting are something special.💯💜
Did you know that IU is having a world tour this year? definitely go ;)
The way a 5 min music video can play with your emotions like this is true art and what music should be. This is the exact reason why we shouldn’t let AI take over the arts (like music). Music should come from the heart and soul and touch your heart and soul. Emotions is literally what makes us human and we wanna hand that one and only thing we have left to AI 🤦🏻♀️
The way IU’s voice is so angelic it can make people cry is just so wow.

IU'S voice is not a joke 😟💗
OMG Jordan. My eyes leak every time I watch this video, but listening to you describe the prominent and symbolic details of the various scenes, all while sharing your sorrowful reactions…dude, you had me bawling. You know, the ugly crying kind where you’re gasping for air between sobs. 😭😭😭
Agree wholeheartedly. This music video is exceptional on so many levels. LOVE IT!!!❤

The mv accompanied by the song fit so well.. I still can’t watch it without crying. Everyone who worked on this did a fantastic job
My goodness, what an amazing MV and incredible filmmaking.
they are just magnificent
The MV makes me cry and it's amazing when you see the behind the recording. IU recorded this song while in cold. She is AMAZING!!!

IU 'Love wins all' Track Intro by IU
Someone calls this an era of great hatred.
Let’s fade away together most splendidly.”*
- 2024.1 Jieun //
(*t/l note: IU meant that no matter what happens, we’re in this together until the end.)
EDAM Ent.:
Starting off with a minimal and vintage piano intro and ending in a maximum outro, this ballad with a clear narrative arc continues IU's grand ballad series, which has been well-loved by fans, consisting of songs such as ‘Secret’, ‘Dear Name’, ‘Love poem’ and ‘My sea’.
If you follow IU's delicate vocal techniques, the harmony of a wide-ranging melody and the constant build-up, before you realize it, you end up focusing on the note sung by IU’s last breath at the very end.

the way i've watched this mv, like, a thousand times and have cried in all of them. such a good and sad history, such amazing acting by them, the song is freaking amazing. it's so so so so good
No matter how many times I watch it, this MV never fails to make me cry
It always feels good to let it out. My favorite quote is from Jimmy V:
"If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special."
I have listened to this song for so many times and I don't cry to it, but would always, always breakdown when rewatching the MV. It's so poignant and emotional.
Omgosh! I've been waiting for this! I love your videos😆
This music video is just so good, I cried every time I watched it, IU's voice is way too beautiful and the lyrics combined with the visuals just make me so emotional
I was SOBBING while watching the MV first time
I must've watched this 100 times & STILL CRY. EVERY. SINGLE. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love wins all is already win MV of the 2024 year!!
i already seen this MV more than 3 times and I cried in EVERY TIME I've seen this, TYYY JORDAN I REALLY NEED THIS VIDEO hahaha
Yes it's beautiful
All of it the music the filming..acting just magic....
IU's soft voice & the lyrics just makes me cry... Ofc not to mention the story & their acting 😭😭
I literally cry every time I watch this video. Love from Australia xxxxx
This mv is so beautiful! IU has a gorgeous voice and the acting between the two is so powerful! Love it!!
I love her voice ...
Just got to this one now. Thank you for introducing me to this amazing video.
The third song that you put got me tearing up a little bit 🥲 and Love Wins All makes me cry an ocean everytime I see the MV or here the song on Spotify 😭😭😭💜
I cant hold in my tears 😭
I would also recommend the MV for Lilac by IU. It's beautifully shot
Excellent reaction! Thank you very much! 💜
lol I love how the “dance therapy” at the end is just Jordan crying. I felt that
IU had flu and wss sick when she taped the song..brilliant singer..I also cry everything I watch 😢
Your reactions help me understand the story so much better. Thank you! I cry every time for this MV, and I was blubbering whilst you were reacting.
IU is such a talented and warm hearted artist🥺
All of these tragedies changed Korean society drastically.
i've watched this MV repeatedly and i still managed to cry in the end 😭 IU's voice is amazing.
