      The studio version is interesting. By the halfway point it's on its way to becoming my favorite RH song. The minimalist arrangement, lead by Colin's gorgeous bass part. How the drums come in only to later be joined by a very aggressive but fitting guitar.
      The only problem, is that the song has never been properly finished IMO. It needs something else after the initial climax is hit. The studio version basically peters out and even the live version here just stops.
      Then again, some songs are fine being short. It's just I believe this one had potential for something more.

    • @gavinpicard3003
      @gavinpicard3003 4 года назад +10

      Guy Guy gonna have to massively disagree. the droning buzz-sound, the distinct melody, the strong bass, and the guitar with its gorgeous tone imo make the studio version. this version is amazing too but all it is is piano chords. the studio version has a build-up quality that this version doesn’t have. it has weight behind the “did you go bad” that this version doesn’t.

    Thanks lad, seriously, thanks.
    If anybody should be reading this then you evidently have time on your hands.
    I would implore you to watch the entire one hour canal+ show. If I recall correctly the stage was too small for the whole band, so Ed, Phil and Ed (in no particular order) decided they would sit at the bar and have a drink whilst Thom and Jonny (sp?) played an acoustic set. It's magic and there are some wonderful versions of beloved songs, this being one.
    I also adore the crowd here, they are quite rightly on complete awe.

    Although I love this song to death, I have to be honest and admit I have no fucking idea what it's about and neither do you.

    Not many people know this, but his left hand is mostly prosthetic. See how their a different color? The wristbands help hide this: 1:28 O.o?!?
    Ha ha ha! No.... Wristbands are cool. If you have a lot of friends that give them to you, when you wear them they remind you of them, but in this case they're probably to let security know that he is in fact Thom Yorke.... as if he needed them....
