  • My Pomeranian boy is called Rice, his hair started falling out one day and we took him to the vet. The entire dog hair loss / recovery is documented over a period of 2 months. Significant hair loss in adult dogs (after the initial puppy coat change) could happen for a variety of reasons ranging from infection, allergies (food/environment/bugs) to Alopecia (black skin disease).
    Make sure to visit your vet asap to catch whatever it is early!

    Thanks for sharing! Glad Rice recovered! He is sooo cute!! We have three Pomeranians and one of the females gave birth to four puppies in July of 2022. They were all healthy and have all been adopted; so hard to give those little ones up! The mommy 'Bailey' has a really think coat now, she is blonde, gray, white and a little black, but mostly blonde. I just found out that it is very common for Pomeranian females after weaning her puppies will lose a lot of hair. I learned that it will take about six months for her hair to return to normal.

      Congrats on them little babies!!! Yes I would imagine how difficult it is to walk to go but I’m sure they’re super dooper well loved! Bailey can have more time to recover and rest too! It’s almost 6 months now has her hai recovered?

    Bless you for sharing. My mini pom has lost most of her hair around her neck and sides of body. Tried to minimize her food to one thing eating raw and adding some healthy oils etc.
    Now I am doing hypoallergic food and a shot to help with allergies.
    Your video has given me hope. Love your sweet boy.❤

    @LifeofRice did the vet ever told you to put anything (like a cream, an ointment, told you to bathe using a specific shampoo?) on the part of the skin that was exposed because of the hair loss?

    • @lifeofriceapuppy9630
      @lifeofriceapuppy9630  Год назад

      The vet prescribe a cleaning solution. So no creams or anything, just keeping the bald area clean. That’s what the pink bottle is in the video.

    I had my dog neutered and also gave him Omega 3 and vitamin D. I also made sure that my dog got more exercise. I also stopped giving my dog water from the tap because it can be contaminated with hormone residues. I have given her non-carbonated mineral water.
    I also stopped having her hair cut.
    Her coat has grown back completely.

      Hi Hope your baby is doing better!
      We changed the home environment to really clean frequently and not use harsh chemicals to mop the floor. Also changed his kibble to hypoallergy ones.

    So my pomeranian has kind of the same problem. Only he has it after salon turn, it’s get started in the neck. But it’s not over. He gets it on his legs. It was 2 years ago. He is a old man 12 years. But i have changed his food but not hypoallergenic yet. But now his a lot of tears on his eyes… so whats was the problem with youre pom? En what helped you? Greats also a pom mom

    • @lifeofriceapuppy9630
      @lifeofriceapuppy9630  2 года назад

      Did your pom catch something at the salon? Or allergic some of the product? The tears got better after changing kibbles, allergies. Sometimes he gets it again if he eats the wrong stuff (ie, my other dog’s kibble, or licks up something off the ground outside). Quite sensitive. So yes changing kibbles helped and u just need to really watch him closely what he puts in his mouth.

      Hi we are currently feeding him royal canin the hypo allergic one - he’s been fine for 2 years but now I think I will change to a different kibble because he is having allergies again - not hairless this time but over active tears. Still deciding which brand - something whole.

    Been looking for an all white pomeranian like this one. I live in Hawaii. Please let me know when you have puppies....or , I'd be willing to purchase sperm for my paperanian chloe aka coco. She's a white and brown paperanian. I'm hoping to get at least one all white pup. Hopefully female. To which I'll do the same with all white father....I can't find ANY dog breeders in my area willing to contribute.

    course of antibiotics for a small little bump.. lol. I hope you do independent research and don't just blindly trust your vet. strong broad spectrum antibiotics can cause severe immune and digestive dysfunction. can research it on pubmed and countless other sources.

      Wow thanks for lol-ing at my puppy with skin issues. I did read up and thanks for the tip about the cons of antibiotics. I always try avoid medication as I can, only if needed.
      It’s been there long enough and stuff like that can grow and develop into something worse. But he’s fine now! A bit overweight, trying hard to diet.
