      Please Correct me if im wrong, Melatonin should be ONLY applied before s/ he sleeps, 1mg per day. Because of natural hormons, s/he needs Melatonin while they sleep.

    Hi, I hope the treatment is going well and you have results! I use Dermagic Shampoo and Conditioner for a year now and no result at all, she is getting even bolder. In fact my baby has lost hair even around the neck, I very hope she can keep her cute hair on the head and ears :-( Messi is also on a diet for few months now because of her liver disease. We are taking treatments and following strict diet for now. Good luck to Nimbus!

      Thank you, he is doing well and I plan to do an update video soon! I'm sorry to hear about your pup. Have you had her Thyroid and Adrenals checked? If the issue was internal, I don't think a topical treatment like Dermagic will help.

      @@lunaandnimbus685 Yes, we checked her thyroids, nothing serious that could affect hair loss. Messi is completely bold now. I will stop using the Dermagic Shampoo and start looking for something else that works for dogs for itchy black skin. Her hair won't grow back anymore. I hope Nimbus treatment is going well!

      Hey Sandra, I'm sorry to hear that :( Yes, neutering may help; I've read a lot of stories. Dermagic has been helping Nimbus (skin is turning pink and hair is growing back in some places). You can see photos of his progression in our Instagram story highlights: @NimbusTinyCloud.

      Hello, my Pom has alopecia X too, we neutered him two months ago and I noticed some hair regrowth, I hope he will continue like this because I read that it might not be permanent. However, sterilization has also more benefits in their health generally so it’s a good step to start with. Besides the doctor told me that dogs with Alopecia X should not make babies because they might pass it on.
      I use salmon oil in his dry food. Do you think I switch to raw food?

  • @Uwbs_yana

    How did he get alopecia?

    • @lunaandnimbus685
      @lunaandnimbus685  4 года назад +1

      That'a a great question! The disease is honestly very poorly understood. Sometimes the symptoms of hair-loss occur with conditions like hypothyroidism or Cushings diseases. Other times, the hair loss and hyperpigmentation occurs without any known underlying cause--hence the "X" in Alopecia X. This is what Nimbus was diagnosed with. I'm still not convinced there was no cause, however, which is why I've put him on a higher quality food and stopped using pesticide-based flea/tick treatment.

    • @sandraolsen9986
      @sandraolsen9986 4 года назад +1

      What is pesticide flea thick treatment?

    • @lunaandnimbus685
      @lunaandnimbus685  4 года назад +2

      @@sandraolsen9986 I'm not sure where you are located, but in the US, many vets recommend topical flea/tick treatments like K-9 Advantix or even oral products like Bravecto/Simparica Trio to prevent various parasites. Because these medications contain pesticides to kill the parasites, there is a risk that they could harm your pet.
