I’d put mobile one high mileage 10w-40 that’s what I’d recommend it has zinc to protect the gears and sucrose better they say the atf was to keep cost down from the factory but wasn’t the best for long term

My friend, you have not caught up on your SRT-4 transmission fluid needs. DO NOT USE ATF in our srt-4's ever again.
The only reason dodge had utilized this lubrication was due to lack of QA, along with lack of an entire FLUID/LUBRICATION team for the SRT-4 platform. After years of research, and Chrysler engineers providing guidance. literally Mobile 1 10w 40 "high mileage" engine oil is what is supposed to be utilized. This is due to the high amounts of "zinc-ddp" within the lubrication engineering design. Please watch "ED Peterson's" transmission videos on youtube. It will change your future SRT-4's longevities life. He was one of thee main Chrysler Drive-train engineers and has decades of experience with designing and finding the best solutions for this drivetrain.
Fellow srt-4 owner, 1 year of hard racing using proper fluids (Mobile 1 10w40 HIGH MILAGE) has been phenomenal. Cheers and welcome to the SRT community. (just found this vid)

Thanks a lot for the feedback brother! I’m still new to the SRT4 game lol. What do you recommend I do should I change it out again?

That information is completely outdated, the formula is completely different and does not have the same levels of zinc that it used to, please do your research before putting misinformation out.

@@offroadadventur3 The information was correct, but they did change the zinc/P levels in their modern 2017+ formula. At the time of this video classic "high-mileage" was still on shelfs and available online. 15w50 mobile one classic and 2017+ was still very close to OG high-mileage formula sitting at 1300 zinc/1300P as of 2023 still. That ATF is garbage fluid still modernly for this platform. Just because fresh ATF+ is applied to your modern srt-4 and you can shift smooth when engine is cold, doesn't mean it was the proper fluid long term. The detergents were terrible long term for this design. Folks will do what they want though, cheers!
