For those who might not know, moonwalking actually has a bit of a purpose in the game. In the final set of stages (Mr.Big's hideout) there are a lot of conveyor belts that slow you down when you walk on them, but if you moonwalk on them you can go trough them faster.

You either had Revision 1 or 2 of the Moonwalker game for the Genesis; the initial release has the “Thriller” dance, the prototype has “Thriller” as its stage music. You should check Revision 0 and prototype versions out in a future episode of Angry Video Game Nerd.

Hi, James! I really enjoy watching the episodes of Angry Nerd. Today, September 13, 2017, I watched several episodes. I noticed that this episode, one of my favorites, was to win 5 million views! so I decided to follow this achievement by watching the episode and playing this game, in my fresh new old school looking Sega Mega Drive console, made this year, by Tectoy, the official Sega licensed company in Brazil. And that it is! 5 million views!! Congratulations!! My favorite episode is the Batman episodes 52 and 53, witch second one is about to reach the same 5 million views (4,989,222 now).

I totally agree! I've been downloading MIDI versions of Led Zep since I was 14, and used to play the arcade version of this game just for the music. I've even been known to hike to a castle while listening to the "Castle" song from Sword of Vermillion on Sega! Video game music really is some modern day classical IMO!

Hi, James! I really enjoy watching the episodes of Angry Nerd. Today, September 13, 2017, I watched several episodes. I noticed that this episode, one of my favorites, was to win 5 million views! so I decided to follow this achievement by watching the episode and playing this game, in my fresh new old school looking Sega Mega Drive console, made this year, by Tectoy, the official Sega licensed company in Brazil. And that it is! 5 million views!! Congratulations!! My favorite episode is the Batman episodes 52 and 53, witch second one is about to reach the same 5 million views (4,989,222 now).
All these years later and 9:37 still gets me lmfao.

I might sound like a dumbass saying this, but I like the Genesis versions of all the Michael Jackson songs here. It's just that 16-bit badass feel it has to it. And I just like most music instrumental. I don't know what it is, but video game music, or MIDI, and rock is just my jam!

I totally agree! I've been downloading MIDI versions of Led Zep since I was 14, and used to play the arcade version of this game just for the music. I've even been known to hike to a castle while listening to the "Castle" song from Sword of Vermillion on Sega! Video game music really is some modern day classical IMO!
I don’t blame ya, as much as I like the original album recordings of MJ’s songs, the sound chip of the Genesis makes some songs like grunge or a perfect 16 Bit rendition of the original tracks
Why did Mike stop drawing stuff for each episode? It was a trademark of the series! And a hell of an inspiration for people like me, who are interested in drawing. Now it's all like oh, yeah, that episode was good... aaand the intro is over. Not bad, but a clichè. So, Mike, why'd you stop? Freaking come back to it! I dare ya! And don't you say no to me!
