- Masterbuilt reached out to us and offered to send us one of their new 560 Charcoal Gravity Fed smokers and we couldn't say yes fast enough. After it arrived we put it together and put it through the paces! We wanted to test all of the different features and claims with the cooker so we picked out four amazing Ribeye steaks from Walmart and skimmed the manual and started a FIRE! I can't recommend this cooker enough, as a matter of fact, its the envy of the shop, everyone around here wants one! Masterbuilt did a great job with this one. If you're in the market for a great cooker at an insane price point don't sleep on the Masterbuilt 560! A massive thank you to the Masterbuilt Team for sending us this gem!
INGREDIENTS:
4 - Prime Ribeye Steaks
Kosmos Q Cow Cover Hot Seasoning
Kosmos Q SPG Seasoning
RECIPE:
Step 1 - Prep your steaks and season them well on both sides.
Step 2 - Cook them at 250 degrees until they reach an internal temperature of about 100-105 degrees F.
Step 3 - Wrap them in foil or place them in a pan with a lid and set them aside while your grill reaches 700 degrees F.
Step 4 - Sear them for 45 seconds each side.
Step 5 - Wrap or tent your steaks in foil and allow them to rest for at least 15 minutes.
Step 6 - Carve them up the way you like them and eat them while they're hot!

I have a 560 and haven't touched any of my other smokers or grills since getting it in November. It really beats everything else I have by a long shot and yes, I have some quality cookers and this beats them all!
It is an awesome cooker. I've had mine for a few months, and reverse seared steaks are amazing on it. Ribs and pulled pork are also great. Love that charcoal flavor! Great job man!

Gotta do this soon, did some smoked wings on my 560 last week. Used apple wood chunks, 225 for an hour 400 for 30 minutes. Finished by tossing in Kosmo garlic Parmesan Wing Dust. Juicy, smokey and his wing dusts are awesome.
Kosmo. I have recently purchased some of your products when I was at Buc-Ee’s. My burgers and fajitas came out better than before. Big cook is planned for my son’s birthday tomorrow and I’ll definitely be using the products and introducing them to the family.

Just tried my cow cover on some picanya cap on sirloin steaks and it was amazing! Spelling may be off on the steak but it was delicious!

But I still watched them all...lol. Great looking cooker. The misses would say I don't need yet another pit but at $499.00 that thing looks like it's worth it. Good looking smoker...any comparison to the Old Country gravity sold at Academy? I would think the OC wouldn't get as hot as there is no fan. But that's not necessarily a bad thing if you only smoke with it!
Yo! Kosmo!. Can we get a brisket on this thing? It's great that it does hot and fast, but I want to see a real low and slow test on a 16-ish pound brisket.
@kosmo would recommend this as a first smoker? I love the design but also know pellet grills/smokers are very popular.

Hi Jeremiah! Great question - it definitely does with the fact you are using charcoal (you can get that true authentic bbq flavor) and you can always add more wood chunks to your cook if you want a stronger smokey flavor! 🔥

I work at the sheriffs office. I've have gotten 5 deputies to get this grill in a week since showing them this. Got ribeyes and strip on there now to test it out. Didnt have the good seasoning ace didnt have any. Gotta wait till I get my spg and cow cover hot.

Now that’s the sear I want on my medium rare steak I’m thinking my next steak ima turn my pit boss as high as it will get and open the flame broiler and slap it on there, I usually just do 400 or 450
So how do you put the fire out once the cook is done? Might be a good reverse sear cooker, but I'd like to see some low n slow cooks before giving it a thumbs publicly. But they don't sponsor me so I don't have to like them after a single cook

Dude i just got some of your cow cover...... jesus christ. Best rub i have ever had . I used it on a lamb boneless roast. the lamb was succulent and flavorful but the rub was prevalent and made every flavor better. So good. cant wait to use this on beef ribs.

Were the flames just the grease burning off? The fire is contained in the gravity chamber, correct?
Any low and slow cooks on this yet? Curious if you get better flavor from this than a pellet grill. I have a pellet grill and find myself using my offset instead because of the flavor difference.
