    Thank you so, so much for this! I've been having awful muscle tension pain for 3-4 days all through my shoulder blades, upper back, neck, and down through the back of my arms, that was leaving me uncomfortable in just about every position imaginable. I knew trigger point massage helped some, but didn't know enough to pinpoint how and where to massage to get real relief. This was so perfect!! Super well explained and the demonstrations on yourself were so helpful. After maybe half an hour my muscles feel like jelly compared to before, and the lack of pain is amazing. I know I'll have to keep working at it to keep them loose, but I really just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate this and how much it helped me. Thank you so much!!

    Im really glad i found your channel. I've had shoulder blade pain recently, and then when I did some research I realized I had terrible posture both at a desk and sleeping, so obviously I started to get muscle knots and tension points. Massage and stretching take work, but it's worth it to not get this problem again in the future.

    Very thorough and detailed, yet equally well-explained tutorial!
    Thanks a lot, it already got notably better after rolling on the infra spinalis muscle (which turned out to be badly tight, especially on the side where my shoulder hurt.)

    Thank you so much for this very helpful and informative video. Yesterday I had an advanced sports massage which felt good but as my shoulder has been very sore and tight for months it's going to take more than one massage. I was about to do some self massage and your video was just what I needed! I have tenderness and pain in just about every area you were working on and particularly the subscapularis in that last exercise, Ouch!!!

    It's working really well for me so far. Do I need to wait until the pain is completely gone before going back to weight training?

    • @painotopia
      @painotopia  5 лет назад

      No, that is usually not necessary. Still, don´t try to work through the pain. Choose an intensity that does NOT provoke more pain.

    What types of activities might cause this kind of pain?

    • @painotopia
      @painotopia  6 лет назад

      All sort of things...there are many muscles that can cause shoulder blade pain. You would need to know which muscle is causing problems, and then see what things can overload that particular muscle. You can read about all that here :) www.muscle-joint-pain.com/pain/shoulder-pain/shoulder-blade-pain/

    How long and how much do you advice to do these massages on a daily basis?

    • @painotopia
      @painotopia  5 лет назад +1

      I recommend listening to your body. There are no exact rules for what you ask, at least not in my opinion. My guideline is: Start short and gentle, listen to your bodily reactions, and then gradually adjust. Use common sense. If you are sore after a massage and your body "defends" itself when you want to massage it again, listen to that and give it time to recover. Come back another day. :)
