      what's perceived as boring is truly a reserved and calm nature bc they're teaching you something they already know, and also trying to help you relax. I know you used that word more for comedic effect and I'm not mad lol but just wanted to take the opportunity to point out the great qualities people they have that are often perceived as "boring".

    The second shrug exercise, I literally did it and my neck clicked I felt 5 years younger let out a breath and cry laughed for a few minutes, you've literally changed my life. I've been struggling with back neck and shoulder tension for years and that one just.. oh my god all the right spots instantly. I'm shaking thank you I can't say it enough

    I have been suffering from migraines for over 25 years. I had one today and found your video, and did the first two exercises. I always have a knot right behind my left shoulder blade. I've never been able to get rid of it...and that is the spot where all of my migraines start from and then they migrate up the back to the neck. The second exercise especially made a HUGE difference (hitting that knot behind the shoulder blade) and within minutes, my migraine went away. Goodbye ibuprofen....hello miracle stretch!! Thanks so much!!

      Wow!! That's good to hear. Thanks for sharing that info. My shoulders are so knotted up and for the past few days I've been having pains in my head...migraine like, so I must give this a try. I pray it works for me too. Tfs.

    • @d.h.1691
      @d.h.1691 4 года назад +8

      @Yay Mee My knots do come back on occasion.... probably due to my bad posture.....but when they do and I get a migraine, I just do the stretches again and can feel a huge difference. I still have other knots in my neck and upper back area so sometimes I still use ibuprofen, but not nearly as much as I used to and I also use doTERRA Deep Blue rub (cream) to help with pain in other areas of the neck and upper back that lead to headaches.

      @Yay Mee That's good to know. Thank you. I take vitamin D3 drops and I use nutritional yeast (which is loaded with all the B vitamins) to help season a lot of my soups and stews. But I will definitely be looking at CoQ-10 and magnesium to find some good brands. 😊

    I have had a tight pain under my left shoulder blade literally for 2 years after picking up a heavy boxes during a move. It always felt like it needed to crack and just wouldn't. Turn out it was actually a bad knot. I tried the first stretch (did about 10 reps, not too much) and the one at the 7:14 mark then followed by a downward dog stretch and felt the knot release. It was such a weird sensation! Now, for the first time I DO NOT HAVE THAT SEARING, NAGGING PAIN. I can think straight again. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I cant wait to try the others. You guys are great and love the sense of humor!

      Oh my gosh me too with the nagging pain under left shoulder blade kinda lower so it is just out of reach to rub - and trips my mind because i cant stretch it out and it doesn't "give"...years of this and my back will spasm so bad...my dr. wittnessed this spasm...wanted to inject steroid between the muscle ridge right there in office and charge me hundreds of dollars...i declined and it flares up and then subsides but doesn't really ever leave me - i appreciate your comments and am excited i found this site - i will be doing these strengthening excercises and stretches - seems so logical now that i realize it is deep knots and tendonitis sets in - but the poor habits i.e., looking down and not sitting correctly etc, i am actually beating my own self up with poor posture ...ugh and yay at the same time LOL - i am going to stop the madness 😌😅 thank you and God speed with your healing. 🙏😊

    So, I have pretty bad neck, shoulder and upper back pain. This week is was pretty intense at work, and I came home today falling apart. I was going through RUclips and came across this video. I went through and got to the third stretch at 3:05 - I couldn’t get any relief, or feel much of anything. I asked my boyfriend to pull on the towel for me while I hung my head back. My neck popped more times than thought humanly possible. I was sitting on the floor while he did it, and nearly lifted my entire body off the floor by my neck with that towel lol. I swear I had INSTANT results. The pain in my neck was less than I have felt in years. I cannot believe how much it helped 😭😭 I know it’s not EXACTLY how you advised to do it, and in hindsight maybe not the smartest thing to do, but I’m just so glad I found your video. Thank you 🥹 and sorry for this long comment 🫣

      physicaltherapyvideo Good afternoon, I just found your page and I love it. My problem is, the knots in my neck causes my arms and fingers to tingle and go numb. I have been tested to see if anything serious was going on, just mild carpal tunnel. One of my colleagues stuck her elbow in my back and got rid of the knots that were causing the tingling which lasted for over a year. Do you have any exercises that I could use to get these knots out of my back and stop the tingling that has returned ? Thank you.

    I couldn't get out of bed today because of the intense pain that has stretched into my right arm from muscles knots in my back. This was the first video recommended, and I did the exercises in bed and felt instant releif... magical. The knot is still there, however the pain has decreased greatly and is only on the spot, not my whole back or arm and I am moving now.. I can walk and talk! Will continue with the stretches till the pain is gone. Thank you!

      physicaltherapyvideo hey Bob and Brad, I'll try and keep this as short as possible. This video was in my recommended videos and was my first video of yours to watch. Imagine my luck! I have TOS that went undiagnosed for too long and a few other problems from a sandwich car accident 10 years ago. I have had a top right rib resection but complications from that surgery nearly took my life so I'm waiting until I absolutely have to have the left rib removed before going through that again. My previous pain management doctor was highly overmedicating me with powerful prescriptions and is now in federal custody linked with at least seven overdose deaths. (A little unnecessary information but interesting nonetheless) My new pain management doctor has recommended physical therapy but I am on a limited income. I have many trigger points and this new pain management doctor doesn't use numbing medicine with these 25+ tp injections which leave me even more debilitated for several days. I was wondering how many reps of each exercise do you recommend. I know the video is titled "60 second" but I was practicing along with the video and a recommended number of reps for a beginner would be very helpful. Of course, I know incremental increases over time are necessary. I do appreciate that you pointed out, if it hurts, don't do it because the one shoulder neck turn exercise with my right shoulder did not put a smile on my face. Also, can any of the suggested devices be replicated with materials at home? I.e. a towel wrapped in duct tape as a "foam roller"? I will definitely purchase one of purple things! It's 4am and I don't remember what it's called haha. I very much thank you for your time in reading this and look forward to watching future videos!

      There are foam tubes known as swimming 'noodles' at discount or dollar stores (possibly toy stores?) that I believe would serve you well. Besides, duct tape is not cheap $$
      As for reps, a general rule of thumb is to start with very few (2 or 3) and your body will let you know when you can do more. Just pick same time frame(s) daily so your body/mind will come to expect it once the routine is established.

I immediately search RUclips for any sort of advice on what to do for upper back sprain and came across you guys. I did every stretch , excluding the last one. I do not have the s shaped equipment. I felt a lot better afterwards. Thank you guys. I like your demonstration style and good fun too.😊

    good video and description. It's so important for people to stretch and foam roll. It's very easy to forget that our bodies, slowly over time and also depending on what job we have are put through a lot and need to be taken care of. Then on top of that if we work out we put it through more stress. Stretching and foam rolling are highly needed especially the older we get.

    I'm glad that they do refer to 'trigger points.' So many PTs nowadays have posted blogs and videos claiming that there are no such thing as trigger points. But anyone who's ever experienced trigger points in their own muscles knows that they're wrong.
