In this video I will show you how to release tension and trigger points in the levator scapulae muscle.
The levator scapulae often contributes to neck pain or a stiff neck if ...
    - it is too tight
    - harbors trigger points
    - suffers from myofascial adhesions
In this clip you will learn how to release the muscle with your hands. Altough this works I highly recommend saving your hands and using other massage tolls for the myofascial self-release if possible.
Here are my release videos for the levator, using a ball and the Trigger Fairy.

Thank you so much for this video it is a godsend. I have been struggling with this on and off for years. Been in agony last 3 days and could barely turn my head to the right. It was even painful to breathe deeply or yawn. After following your amazing instructions for a few minutes there is a huge reduction in pain/tightness and equal improvement in range of motion. Liked and subscribed.

Thanks a bunch. I screw up my levator scapulae doing all sorts of things like underhanding a basketball, running, sleeping, and most recently... taking a seat on a bench. I noticed instant improvement just now. I'll keep at it, carefully.

I was searching for chiropractors, bodybuilders, coaches and everyone else who have a solution of this pain. Whenever I workout in the gym this pain starts and many times I'm so irritated that I had to leave the gym.
After watching almost a thousand videos I found your video.
I was following your instruction nd The moment I found the bony knot on my trap and stArted massaging it, my pain is gone and my neck can rotate the opposite side again like normal. You must be the best person to find regarding pain relief.
    Thank you so much

Милош Србија i think i been suffering with problems with this muscle for 2 years now, i have no pain like you but I'm foggy, fatigued and my spine goes stiff causing problems with my heart, if it's any help I'm pretty sure this was caused by a ear infection that started from an abscess in my upper wisdom tooth, still waiting for the dead tooth to be pulled, i also have a cyst in my maxillary sinus.
