I am a periodontist and suffering from 20 years of bad posture, static and chronic forward head position posture. What a very helpful video. I just completed a 5 visit in person series of physical therapy visits at my regional medical center of which were 10-15 min long (with low expertise) about $650-700 per visit and they didn't come close to this thorough video you have put together, especially your explanations of the condition and how to correct. Thank you for the video.

You keep on talking , you do a great job of explaining why and what to and not feel!! Very important to understand the physical mechanics that are responsible for why you have pain, weakness, etc. If you know why you are doing it, you’re more likely to be consistent with doing it 👍👍👍

what? who possibly thinks you talk too much?? you talking is the entire reason I follow your videos and no one else. I LOVE your physiology approach!! I'm a medical doctor and am curious and want to know the science behind what's happening from a medical and scientific perspective. There are SO many physical therapists online, they have many of the same exercises as you do, but goodness gracious, you're in a league of your own - no one is as good as you in terms of a medical and physiology perspective. Love it. And love the articles you cite - I've looked up several of them and talked about them to a few of my patients. If you would make any change, I vote for more physiology, more data, more science!!

I really really appreciate you talking. All they do in physical therapy is tell you to "do 10 of these or 15 of these 2 or 3 repetitions" without explaining what the heck are you working on and why. Then you keep coming back with the same problems. Your video helped me much more than weeks and weeks of useless physical therapy sessions.

Anecdotally there could also be a correlation to elevated stress/distress/anxiety levels. Itself could also be related to holding the sit desk posture for long hours (having a lot of work to get through). IMO also worth checking in on one’s emotional state (we experience our emotions physiologically, it’s not just an abstract thought) and broader wellbeing

Wow!! This was SO in lightning for me. In just this video, you’ve answered so many questions I had. There is something I don’t quite get with your explanation around minute 4:10 (this could be probably the topic of another video?) : with weak LT and SA, you say that the scapula has less upward rotation and can cause impingement. I would have though that, because there’re weak and in a lengthen position because the UT and LS are overworking (so in a shorten position and pulling already on the top part of the scapula), that this would facilitate the upward rotation of the scapula, in a way, no?! Aren’t the UT and LS the muscles that are normally activated at the end of the movement when we lift the arm strait up? By the way, don’t stop what you are already doing so well! You explaining the why behind the problem IS EXACTLY what I love in your videos, as well as the quality of your exercices. Understanding the root cause is essential to change the things that aren’t good for our body and be/stay motivated in doing so. Thank you so much!!!
