Surprised we didn't hear you say anything about the tongue tracking!
You’re all invited! You just need WORLDS BEEFIEST PC IMAGINABLE! Thats it!
Ay bro I just joined your discord! I didn’t know there was going to be so many furries there though 😰

I'm just gonna kiss some butt for a second here. I wish every VR content provider was as well produced, honest, well informed, and as entertaining as your channel is. You're on another level and the consistency is just *chefs kiss*.
As someone who has loved VR since the moment I strapped on my first headset, I just can't believe the hate and insolent attitudes from people that either haven't tried it, or haven't tried anything worthwhile. It's nice to be in a place with a content creator and people who get it.
AWW THANK YOU SO MUCH! Made my whole week!
@@ThrillSeekerVRwell deserved sir, have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
@ThrillSeekerVR Keep going man!! Every time I open my phone to see a notification from you, it puts a smile on my face. I love what you do!
Great VR lost to time? 'TIME TRANSIT', 'JET ISLAND' and 'SANSAR VR': SOCIAL REALM FOR CREATIVES _and ghe prople who love them..._ ) and SANSAR has had LEGS in VR since 2018!
Truth
The fact that you were disappointed by the lack of proper depth API apps that you made one of your own is hilarious and inspiring. Love seeing the growing gamedev side of ThrillSeeker!
Virtual desktop needs this occlusion support NOW!! This has got to be one of my most favorite dev updates for mixed reality stuff EVER!
Varifocal lenses are exactly what I feel VR's been missing, the distances don't feel real enough atm.
I'm glad to see another flagship game released, especially from a studio Meta acquired, since we all haven't heard much from those acquired studios from their acquisitions. VR needs more full proper games like this.
Thanks so much for all you and Phia do for the VR community. We love you guys! Have a wonderful Christmas!
Something that has really suprised me is the massive improvement to quest 3 Bluetooth latency after launch. It's actually gotten to the point where it's usable now.
Do you mean Bluetooth audio? Mine is very laggy. Tried it in Beat Saber and even adjusting the latency it's way out. Am I missing something?
@@JamsterJules the latest update improved it, it's getting improvements from time to time, maybe one day it will be usable
Excellent video, always the best weekly news coverage!
Best VR news in the industry. Thanks Thrill, keep being you! Happy Holidays!!!
I always get super excited when you upload! You never bring us filler!
Another Great one. Thanks and Happy Holidays
Thank you so much as always Thrill. Much love from me and my family, we wish you and yours a very Happy Holidays...
Great video as always! Merry Christmas Thrill!
Thank you for your fantastic videos. They are always great.
Always enjoying these newsdays! Keeps me calm 😌
I love your videos! Keep up the hard work😄😄😄
Thank you for always providing us honest, accurate and exciting news. Your passion and professionalism are a breath of fresh air.
I'm still waiting for the Vive XR to unlock it's depth camera. Though, I have my doubts that the XR2 gen 1 was ever powerful enough to use it, which would explain why Meta removed it from the Quest Pro.
Been following u for 3 years now, I can’t wait to see what else comes out. Thank you for being my source of vr news man!
Happy holidays! 😊
They neural eye tracking is a display element that has extra photoresistor pixels for eye tracking. So it has normal displays pixels and extra pixels like on a camera sensor.
Love your vids
Got a 3 for Christmas! So excited to use it tonight!
Always a w time when Thrillseeker uploads.
As a former software engineer at Microsoft. I'm not sure who were the people working on Xbox Cloud but that stuff is absolutely hard to build. All the power to them for releasing a beta on Quest. I tried to build my own prototype just for browsers and that was an absolute pain in the butt. Happy I get to play with it on Quest 🔥
To be honest man its just a browser in a virtual room. I got game pass cloud gaming working on a sideloaded edge browser a couple of years ago. Since then the built in browser on the quest infrastructure got updated with features that made it possible to do it from the native browser.
your videos are so great
OMG YEAH IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A VID ABOUT THIS
bro your vids are the best.
Friday Newsday. lets go!!!
Lynx has for a while now shown quite capable occlusion, though lacks a depth sensor for sake of keeping cost down at the moment.
I found this information a awhile ago on the pico. But... i didnt know they were going to keep there high end headset in the works that was the only information i couldn't find. Great video as always thrill
Always a good day when Thrill uploads!
Tuesday newsday but its friday newsdsy haha. Other than that yet another amazing qualiyy video. Also amazed that you built your own demo for the new tech!
FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONS STORMLAND!!!!
Yea Stormland is my favorite vr game and the first game that made me forget i was in a game. I played 16 hours straight standing up. When i got off i was even tired i just got off to use the restroom and released what time it was
Merry Christmas everyone
I just bought a Quest 3 today as my own Christmas present. Can’t wait to try it out
Its wonderful
Getting a quest 2 tommorow rlly exicted have been watching you're videos since i first found out about it
Quest 3? Would you buy a ps4 if ps5 is out. Or don't want to invest into vr to much because 200 bucks more isworth it?
If you research a little I think the reason pico didn't sell a lot is not due to the product but because china was its main buyer. If you look up the news on what's happening in china you guys would notice the housing market crashing and massive companies collapsing and others leaving the country so people have no money to spare. Then we got the EU also having financial issues and problems in the energy sector
What couldn't have helped Pico at all was the lack of a US release as far I'm aware due to it's owner. Also, limited software support... and trying to compete with the behemoth that is Meta who are more than happy to swallow up game studios and throw money at them.
good month XD the entire month worth of vr news
6:20 ive heard that if youre going to get one tracker, dont go for like one leg or something, go for the waste/chest, because having your body tracked does a lot already for immersion and whatnot, especially because you can move forward relative to your body rather than your head.
All I hope is that I can use my slimes *and* this simultaneously.
Hooray some-day-of-week newsday !
Journey of the gods was the first vr game i ever bought and i loved it. Glad to hear it get a shoutout
im honestly really sad that the pico 5 has been canceled, iv had the pico 4 for the last year and it's an amazing headset and i love it, the display is amazing and its a very comfy headset.
One eye is weeping (competition that could have been a great headset gone), the other is laughing (Pico < ByteDance < CCP < Xina < Winnie the Pooh)
As a fledgling VR noob who has only ever owned a Q3, it is a shame. Way before the release of the Q3, I was comparing the specs of the Q2 against the Pico 4. It was obvious that the P4 pooped all over the Q2 in many ways. It would have been interesting to see what would have materialised with the Pico 5. It's never really good in any market or industry where one player has the monopoly. Not only can it cause stagnation and stilted future development, the sole player can virtually name their price.
On a similar note, I used to own a Huawei mobile and it was a great phone. However, it got to the point where I realised that I couldn't buy another Huawei product because of the very restricted software support in the future. I'll preempt what some will say... yes, Meta doesn't exactly have a great track record either when it comes to consumers' personal data usage.
@@edturner9670 pooped all over q2? the only advantages are the better battery life and the resolution is much bigger, then it ends there
First, Mr. Osawa, the tech journalist who launched this "information"...provides no real new and proven information, yes...Pico, as a content publisher, it's over!
and at the same time, he announced Bytedance's record profits: +40% $29 billion! So if they want, they can compete against Apple...
For hardware, Pico 5, 4 lite, or Pico 5 max pro or 6 (in competition with Apple's Vision pro), we already only had rumors, and it continues in these terms...
That said, a Pico 4 lite or Plus, would be in the logic of things, an evolution in the heart of the market is more than logical compared to a Quest3, barely better than a Pico 4, no need to bring out the heavy artillery...
In the VR world...We are still far from the mass market.
And as the technical evolution of VR headsets will undoubtedly play out on technologies like Silicon On Display, and for Pico, as for Apple, and especially Samsung, the premium headsets represents, and it's stupid to say, almost the heart of the current market, it seems normal to me that they would produce a high end VR device against the two giants..
A real PCVR 2000$ device for gamer is a bargain versus a 3000$ Iphone's users "VR" device
Yeah, you are correct Asgards Wrath looks like a PS3 game, I thought exactly the same. For instance, the blurring of the image above a certain height really annoys me. Standalone VR is not there yet, not by a long shot. Thats is why I've used my quest 2 and 3 headsets with PC VR exclusively.
I think you need to adjust your expectations with what games should look like on mobile hardware at these price points.
@@lolzlolz102This! 👆👆👆
It's almost like if some people expected PS5 graphics or something on a mobile SoC. 🤣🤣🤣
This guys videos are so sporadic, that I keep forgetting his channel exists. Really wish you got back to a more consistent upload schedule.
Love your content and also I would like to see your recommendations for accessories for the Oculus Quest 3 because I have recently purchased the headset and I can’t quite get the strap to fit well if you have any recommendations for straps I would like to see them.
QOTW: If you were to make your own vr headset, what would be the specs, haptics , and how much would it cost?
Ain’t no way bros gonna make his own headset
@@FUIB5 thats why they said "if you were to"
@FUIB5 anyone could but you'd only be able to make one depending on how much you have to spend and your technical knowledge and experience.
Oculus took the best route for mobile VR. The only thing I'd change or offer is a version that's ONLY cloud based. A dedicated server station just for game processing.Thats dedicated cloud-based PCVR and 128GB of storage with the same chip as the Quest Pro 😅.
@@DeonCarr-dd7el whyyy??? in vr, latency matters ALOT more. imagine you turn your head and it takes a long time to turn in game. you would soon throw up, while also not being able to hit enemies in fps games.
Varjo has a lot of depth occlusion as well. It works a lot better than the quest 3.
The depth API had been in a pre release for some time now. The quest 3 has a nice starting point for this. I really hope they will use new systems where the camera feed is used with the depth sensor to calculate depth, and not just the depth data.
Varjo HS is a good product to compare new HSs. Just like Nokia phones were. Let’s go Finland💪
New Varjo is only 4k dollars for the base model too! 😂
11:51 Oooh a Pico 4 Refresh is very intriguing. Maybe a Pico 4 Link 😯
If tuesday newsday is on a friday you know he was cooking
yo have a
MERRY CHRISTMAS too
I love your videos
whoop whoop new newsday!
i never finished journey of the gods but what i did play was very fun. I really need to play more of it
For QOTW: Can you give a list of recommended games for people prone to motion sickness? Like Arizona Sunshine (I & II), After the Fall and Space Pirate Trainer, to name a few. Would love to know your top picks for this.
I just got i quest 3 for Christmas and it is so good😊
that fan spinning things out pretty cool
Merry Chrimmis ^-^ I look forward to seeing your videos every week...
I was having a pretty rough day, and you have NO idea how quickly my brain flooded with "GIMME GIMME" when I saw ThrillSeeker in my feed >:D
I got motionsick from Asgard, the turning around does that.
Yooooo, Journey of the Gods mention! I love that game!
Bro you’ve got to put a video out or community post about UEVR soon. It’s absolutely amazing.
Just got my son one for Christmas. I hope he likes it 🤞🏽
Thrill: Very good episode holy moly! Happy Holidays VR Brother! Great Lost Games to time: 'Time Transit VR', 'Jet Island' and SANSAR VR!
As soon as i get the quest to all the good stuff comes out
Stormland is so fun!!
lets go thrill posted W
Big question. When using quest 3 in vrchat for example, can you put on feet trackers and have upper body tracked by headset and lower by base stations with steamvr?
May mean a no cost upgrade to have more tracking for people who started on index and are going to get a quest 3 anyway
Maybe nobody knows... but Stormland isnt anymore available on the oculus store on PC. Insomniac Games said they are looking to it but that does mean nothing... maybe beacause PS acquired them so they dont sell anymore on the Meta Platform...
After having my quest 1 broken for like 2 years, I'm getting a quest 3 for christmas. So yay
i finally decided to buy myself a Quest 3 and this is the first video that is actually relevant to me haha, in the past i was just watching ThrillSeeker videos because i find VR very interesting
Stormland is AMAZING! Insomniac is class leading in player mobility just like Marvel's Spiderman. I played through it on release and was very impressed with it. In 2019 it was probably king of free movement, but even by today's standards it's exceptional. There was water jet system to travel between islands using both hands to control jet flow, there was free climbing on tons of surfaces, and finally you could glide from almost anywhere. I was kinda confused by the ending, it seemed like the game transitioned to a weekly objective based game which would be good for replayability but I couldn't remember the story properly wrapping up.
I actually get to work with IOBT at work now, so next week, I'm going to be diving into testing that myself.
New video always wakes me up
me 2
I played Star Field on my Quest 3 for 3 hours and really didn't have any problems AFTER I got my controller connected. The lag was very mellow and I enjoyed my time for sure.
My wishlist grows another 3 titles
Thanks
I has a early Christmas morning playing with the meta quest 3.
Duck Season recently got a great port to bonelab so it's definitely not lost to time
Official or mod? Haven't heard about it yet. Sounds great either way!
@@CakePrincessCelestia mod but a great one. You need lemon loader for the videos but it's a near complete port
I just wanted to mention that the early pre production lynx R1 has had occlusion for years and there have been tons of demos for that. Can't take away what this small team has achieved.
best vr channel imo
Let's gooooo!!!!
Asgards wrath is pretty awesome, deserves some hype.
Thrill your the only RUclipsr who still has a into, I respect that
FINALLY YOU GOT THE DATE RIGHT
Amazing
Its hard for me to cry for the Pico 4 when it wasn't even available in my country when I wanted to buy it lol. I still hope for the best for them.
Xbox cloud gaming is why I upgraded from the quest 2 to 3. I know it's not needed, but I needed a little extra push. So far, it works great except for the long wait times.
RIP Pico, i'll never forget you
V60 made my passthrough look waaay better. I hope they did it more I got a dud unit. Battery life improvements while PC vr would be welcomed too.
I been playing it on quest 2 works good for me
I miss being able to watch RUclips VR and movies on PC VR, definitely fractured but hopefully it all comes together
Duck Season can also be played as a free mod for bonelab (quest and PC). So, that’s very good news for new people to pick it up **music starts playing**
@ThrillSeekerVR Unfortunately, Stormland is no longer on the Meta store for the Quest. So you can only play it if you already own it. Which is a big bummer for those of us who bought in on a Quest 3.
For cloud gaming on the quest, I use a cloud pc service called shadow. I can play wireless pcvr and flatscreen with it. Tried it on the quest 3 the other day and it was amazing. I pay for the upgraded version (~$60/month) but I get a killer graphics card and the math comes out to a new $5k pc every 7 years (what I was looking at for a workstation anyway). So for my purposes, the math works out. My partner has even linked it up with slime vr on her quest 2.
Smaller and lighter is the way. And I'm fine with offloading stuff like a battery to a belt or sling to get the headset smaller.
I need a competitor to meta that’s not a creepy Chinese company. I have mixed feelings with pico leaving.
Valve can fix anything, I hope they do it to standalone.
I have most VR headsets for gaming. Absolute blast.
ITS TUESDAY
Nice 🖤💜
