- Just recently announced Avidity Arms is teaming up with Federal Ammunition to bring a new carry option to the market. The PD10 chambered in 30 Super Carry gives you more capacity in the same great package originally offered by Avidity Arms and I had the opportunity to sit down with Rob Pincus and spend some time discussing how they decided to add the 30 Super Carry to the PD10 line up and why that's a good thing!

one real drawback to the 30SC cartridge which i don't often see discussed is that it doesn't meet minimum power requirements for USPSA competition

To anyone who bashes 30 SC or calls it a failed round, you're seriously misinformed. Once more pistol manufactures start making pistols chambered in 30 Super Carry it's going to gain momentum and really take off. The idea of carrying a Glock 17 or 19 size pistol with 20+ rounds of ammo is where this new cartridge is going to shine!
Certainly as popularity grows it’ll lead to more innovation with the round, I’m really interested to see where this goes.

Surprised S&W being the go to for this round hasn't brought out a performance center model of the Shield Plus & EZ like they have for the .380 & 9mm in those models. Gotta show some love to the 30sc S&W.
I have the Shield EZ 30sc and I love it. Less recoil, same damage. My EDC at the moment. And I'm talking I switched from a p365 x macro Tacops 9mm and I'm way better with this thing.

The super carry never got off the ground. If it has not by now, I do not think it ever will. The ammo is expensive, hard to find-I think there are 2 manufactures that make Super Carry pistols. I have heard that getting the "Extra round" is hard, if not impossible on several different RUclips channels. The 380 ammo has come along way in recent years. If sompme is dead set against pmm. well, plenty of manufactures make 380, and the ammo has really come along way. 10 years ago, I would have said no way to 380. I am glad for people who need less recoil have another viable option other than 9mm. I am weak due to injuries. I would not rule it out.
The 30 Super Carry should have been a long overdue update of the 32 ACP which was developed by John Browning in 1899. It should have also competed with 380ACP. It will not be successful as a replacement for 9x19, 357 Sig, 40SW or 45ACP. Horrible marketing on the part of Federal ... The cartridge should have been called 32 Super Auto and it should have been loaded to energy levels equivalent to 380ACP ... ~ 220 ft-lbs. Alot of people would have liked a new "old school" 32 pocket pistol with 380ACP power. Competing with 9mm Luger was a mistake, especially with the new high capacity compacts like the Hellcat, P365 and Shield+. Federal made the same mistake with 327 Federal competing with 357 Magnum.
