Did you double cluch while shifting
Heck no, I float all the gears
Question please, WHY do instructors insist double clutch, when it isn't needed ,right? Vehicles weren't designed to do that , correct? My instructor is driving me bonkers and I say BUT the manual doesn't say double clutch to drive the truck. Why was this double clutching even purpose for? Can someone help me get the REASON to be so rough on the clutch, please
My guess is that older trucks from the 50s were sincronized so they needed to be double clutched
@@angelamonk716 Older trucks didn't have synchro's. So when you put your foot on the clutch and put it into neutral, the transmission is still spinning at the same speed, and when you went to put it into the next gear, it would be spinning at a different speed and the gears would grind. When you put your foot off the clutch in neutral, the transmission starts spinning at the engines speed, and putting it into the next gear wouldn't cause any grinding.
Exactly true , it’s the same with all Eaton trannys
