- Ana Kasparian was on CNN’s "Reliable Sources" yesterday and lit the house on fire. They brought her on with a Donald Trump supporter for some healthy debate. Ana promptly let CNN know that they are dying because they’re owned by billionaires who control their message and people are getting wise. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"Ana Kasparian, host of The Young Turks, schooled conservative CNN guest Scottie Nell Hughes on Sunday for suggesting that Muslims were a bigger problem for Americans than income inequality.
CNN host Brian Stelter posited on Reliable Sources that the media were “deaf” to the frustrations of Americans because they did not understand what it was like to be poor or what it was like to live in rural area.
Kasparian hinted that CNN was not blameless, observing that both the “establishment media” and politicians had been corrupted by the same forces.
“So it’s really difficult for mainstream - let’s say, cable outlets - to talk about things like income inequality, wealth inequality when the advertisers that are funding their shows are the same corporations that want to ensure that the same system continues,” she explained.”*

I use TYT strictly because I can play games while getting a bit of news. I'd be more informed from reading the articles they leech from, but this is easier. That's why I'm here at all.
In short: TYT is a 2nd rate media.
In a bit longer: I just thought you and everyone who agrees with you should know what a horrible rag TYT is in so many cases. No, they're not wholly shit, but with just a small amount of critical thinking you can be far better informed by just reading the news on a couple of sites at once, instead of limiting yourself to just one site that usually has one narrative and will put one spin on stories.

+David D The difference between the two is that tyt is open about their bias and say that over and over on every issue. Not to mention right after and before they state their opinion, they bring up facts that they based their opinion on. This is why i usually agree with them but more times than once they are unfair and misleading. So take what they say with a grain of salt and fact check.
Mozues Olympian I used the think the same way you do until they went after Sam Harris. It's easy to swallow their rhetoric and smear jobs and selective data when it doesn't concern someone or something you're familiar with, but the tactics and lies they used against him really opened my eyes. Once you're aware of what they're doing you start to see the ad hominems, false equivalences, straw man attacks etc. in almost every video, certainly those concerning opposition politicians and such anyway. The only area they produce solid that I can't fault at this point is to do with science and technology.

Anna, I am a 54 to former two decade mental health tech, mother of three. I went back to school after brain surgery and graduated as a follower physicians assisitant in 2008. I underwrnt spine surgery while attending Collage. I am saddled with 20K in student debt, on Medicaid, and was deemed unable to work in my fields of experience. Instead of being approved for SSDI, I was approved for SSI. The difference in those two programs is on SSDI, one can make extra income up to a degree. On SSI, if I try to see if my body can handle P/T work, SSI would take a dollar away from every dollar I would earn. Also, Medicare only covers teeth cleanings and extractions. I have had my teeth, one by one, extracted over the course of the last decade. This was not my fault as I had severe morning sickness with all three of my children which led to stomach acid erosion of my back teeth. I bring this up because you are the future to fight for universal healthcare, student loan debt, and the myriad of issues not covered by MSM. You make me so proud, young lady. What a fantastic job you did in CNN. This isn't about me, I just wanted you to know I am from Kansas and many are suffering. I was a SAH mom for my last child who just turned 18 and just went off to College. If there was ONE issue I wish you and TYT would cover, it's Medicare dental torture. The teeth, the mind, are part of the whole body and affect the whole body. I could have a heart attack and be covered, but a tooth problem...they only pull.
