Well, they did a couple of endurance tests last year, including squats, for a holiday special and Cenk still out-lasted Ana. It is going to be a couple of years before Ana can beat Cenk.

It would have been great to hear the internal dialogue in Ana's mind as it dawned on her that she was in some twisted tortoise and hare race.
7:32 is an amazing mile time. Especially at his size. I'm actually in good shape and my fastest mile is 9 minutes
@Joe Marley Cenk actually has really good stamina. Him and Ana had another endurance contest last year doing squats and I was shocked when I saw Ana struggling and Cenk looking like he was not breaking a sweat. Ana lost about a minute after that.

Cenk cheated by drinking a pot of "TOO STRONG" coffee before the race.

Cenk is built exactly the same way my 8yo son is and he's a beast of a wrestler and he kills it in the conditioning drills as much as he does in the mats. Other kids will sometimes underestimate him, but then his quickness and strength becomes instantly noticed.

7:32 is remarkably good for someone that doesn't run regularly. My best to date is 5:30 (age 50), but I was exhausted.
Yeah for a bloke that size, that’s a real good pace. We do kms here and anything less than 5 mins per km (which this is) I think is very good.

That was so cool to watch - the pre & post race remarks were fun & gracious. If there's one thing I'll never forget about my own running days (decades ago), is how it humbles you. A 7:32 mile Cenk is admirable indeed - be great to see Ana get a rematch so you can do it again. Thanks for the fantastic entertainment !
Wonderful. I like that they are true, and friends, and can disagee but back each other honestly, tooth and nail. This is missing from media.
A mile in less than 8 minutes is good for any average person. I didn't expect that from Cenk.

This is hilarious! I love how long you guys have been working together!
I have been a runner for over 40 years. The biggest mistake that you guys made was the distance. It should have been longer. I know that sounds strange, but if you built up to a 3 mile run, you would have had a lot less chance of injury. Especially since neither one of you were well trained. A one mile race is too fast when your body isn't used to it. The faster the pace, the higher risk of injury.

I agree nothing worse than quitting. I ran cross country in HS and quit in the middle of the race. At 40 it still bothers me when I think about it.
It's like The hare vs. The tortoise, except both the hare and the tortoise are overconfident and cocky lmao :D
I absolutely remember this. I can’t believe it was 12 years ago. Cenk told her that he never gives up and she didn’t believe him.

A 7:38 mile at age 38? That's actually superb, especially for a guy his size. He could have easily won tons of bar bets. If he can beat a 9 minute mile now, that'd be just as impressive. I'm 62, and about a year ago, just for kicks, I wanted to see how fast I could do a quarter mile. I did it 1:35. Two days later, I went for some blood work and when the results came back, my doc freaked out. My creatine kinase (ck) was nearly 1300. She asked if I'd exerted myself in the last couple of days and when I told her that I only ran a quarter mile, she said I needed to come back in four or five days to redo the labs and NOT to work out in between. My ck went down to 125, which is normal. Moral: Don't try to be a big shot unless you're really in shape. I won't be making that mistake again. I wonder what Cenk can run a mile in now. I can only do a 10 minute mile at best now.

@@DemonFox369 Precisely. He had to have done cardio in school to do a sub-8 at 38. Btw, army prerequisite is an 8 minute mile. We're talking 18 year olds.

Yes people, we get it. Ana has a slight prejudice toward those who are fat, which is a little disappointing.
However, for the most part she keeps that to herself, unless it's her sister/brother friendship with Cenk, or if the person's an a**hole like Alex Jones, then she'll let them have it.
But that's just one flaw in her character, she's a good human being as a whole, fighting for everyone's equality.
I'm morbidly obese and I'm not offended by Ana, y'all are too damn sensitive.
