You have to give him credit for taking the fire. I still think he sucks, but maybe not as bad as I thought. He sounds like he could be reasoned with on some things. His criticism of the other GOP candidates is spot on.

I used to watch Cenk and Ana years ago and agreed with them on many topics, but this interview with Vivek has uncovered the truth of their descent into Trump obsession.

Cenk was trying to ensure Vivek was not being biased towards Trump. If he has public condemnation for NIkki's shady dealing, then likewise, there should be condemnation for Trump. Vivek says the will speak the truth even if that cost him the election. That statement is a demonstrative lie because this video clip is proof he is unwilling to call out Trump.

Disappointing that TYT kept bringing up 'what about Trump' questions, rather than the much more interesting question of - how do you actually get rid of the superpacs and other forms of legalised bribery in politics.
My thoughts exactly!! Cenk got Vivek say “we need to change the law so there’s not a special class of donors who rig the system, and this applies to everyone including those I’m running against”. For Cenk and Anna to keep pushing so he just says this applies to Trump too is asinine. It changes the discussion from the core topic a serious matter that requires real reform to the clown show that is Trump.
Not really because in order for vivec to actually hold the position he has he cannot systematically ignore when his criticism matters and when it doesn't for personal reasons. That's what is called bias. If Trump is AS guilty as any and IF his policies ARE unduly influenced by corporate bribery he has to realize that any defense of trump is also a defense of said bribery. Making a blanket statement condemning all of it ironic ally CONDONES all of it because if ALL are guilty he's suggesting that's just the way it IS the system IS so therefore you can't criticize any individual politician for just behaving as the system incentivises them. This gives everyone a pass including trump since no one is as bad as any other. But this is a logical fallacy a bandwagon fallacy every one is doing it so we can't really criticize ANYONE until the whole system is fixed which we need to do first. This obfuscates individual corruption. What Vivek would have to do if he were honest IS one by one call out everyone's political corruption not say it's trump derangement syndrome for bringing up his corruption of which he too IS also guilty. Saying this is bad and therefore m.. therefore what? He does not ever say what Should be the norm only that bad things are bad which tells people nothing about what he does want for what reasons. How will he Not be corrupt in comparison and if his policies are the same as trumps and Trump's policies are influenced by corruption he too might as well be thought of as corrupt or condoning of corruption the very corruption he is insisting to be against
No, they're showing that 1) he's softened his position on this issue a lot (likely not genuine) and 2) he's not a serious presidential candidate and has no intention of doing any of this.
He attacks Haley but not Trump because he thinks he has no chance of winning and is *vying for a cabinet position.* You think he's going to hold his boss accountable? Obviously not. His ultimate goal is what needs to be discussed most. That's just common sense.

He also said that talking about all these connections between politicians and donors was pointless and yet when it comes to hid beliefs about the connection between Biden and the Justice system, where there are no facts to back anything up, he is suddenly all interested. Neither Cenk or Ana grilled him on his own position as bought and paid for and his own connections to the system, which would really have spiced up the debate.

Presidents do not make or change laws. He's running for the wrong office if he wants to address this issue.
The President has the largest platform to encourage voters to participate and educate themselves in elections to push their representatives to do so. Everyone Presidential candidate should have this on their platform - Cenk does right now, Bernie Sanders did in 2016, Trump did in 2020, and Vivek is doing the same.
