She won the primary when she and the DNC forced Bernie Sanders out because he kept winning state primaries and polls. He would have been POTUS and they knew it.

They didn’t accept the deal because Israel wanted to control their airspace, land borders and pretty much control everything. That isn’t called an independent state. That’s why the deal didn’t go through. If a sovereign state was offered it would have been difficult for Yasir Arafat to say no

I am an older person as well. However, I am very impressed by our US student protesters. They have selected an issue upon which to take a stand and have made clear their goals, and they have remained resolute in the face of misrepresentation in the media, threats from academic and business authorities, police harassment, and physical attacks by other students.
The United States has apparently learned nothing from its disastrous wars of empire. Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan are only a few of them. Aside from the destruction these wars have caused and the tremendous geopolitical problems they have caused the United States, these unnecessary wars have been intensely self-destructive to the United States in an economic sense.
These students are brave enough to stand for something that is part of the larger issue. Ironically, Hillary Clinton is a symbol of the larger issue--government reform.
Where are the rest of the US citizens who are critical of the Israel lobby? Where are the veterans who fought in W. Bush Administration's wars? Where are the anti-colonialist groups like BLM? What about the socialists? We should be seeing tons of resistance across the board.
Realize that we are in a country which has eliminated dissent by reducing people's concerns to small, niche groups. Resist it will everything you have. Talk to people and come to terms so that we can reform government and get our country back.

So irritating. I am 61. I hear folks my age do the old people rant of "things aren't like they used to be" and complaining about young people. I personally am encouraged by young people that I meet. They know more about what is going on in the world than any previous generation. And thanks to the internet, they are able to get perspectives outside the US. With a rare exception, the young folks I meet are thoughtful, principled, and empathetic. It is young people who make change possible. It is from these young kids that heroes will emerge.
