It's funny becuz the girl I dated that year went on to get married and I just seen her the other day, she's divorced and an empty nester now. I do not know what it is about his songs but they just make you feel understood. I think that feeling of understanding is a great uniter and it really resonates with a lot of people. Music can excite, heal, calm and sooth but when it makes you feel understood it is powerful.
There are thousands of amazing musicians, with beautiful music, who will never be heard because the "industry" is too busy shoving their hand picked little celebrities down everyone's throat. It breaks my heart that music today has become an "industry." Music is a part of us just as much as breathing as. Every culture, every group of people to ever exist on Earth had music. Just like medicine or food, greed has found a way to take our music and turn it into a business. If I'm remembered when I'm dead and gone of anything, it's my hope that I'm remembered as someone who tried to help change that.
I'm a good bit younger than you (about to move away from home for the first time) but I feel your sentiment in this song, even if for me those good times I look back on were a decade later. Just wanna say thanks for the music to help keep me grounded in this difficult phase of life.

You are true voice in the wilderness of lies in this world.
I still remember last year working in the parking garage in Gatlinburg and hearing your Richmond song BLARING from a biker's speakers! He was singing it at the top of his lungs... and I sooo felt that. Screw the noise ordinance for a moment. He was living his best life and you were part of it. I'm so thankful that you voiced what so many of us feel.
Some damn good country music! ❤ it every time.
Love it nothing like the peace of the woods and real country music keep it up brother
Yay!! We're ready! 😁 Pray for our country, children & people! 🇺🇸🙌
Never Pray ,,,,,,you will always become Prey...Please inner stand that you/we are so much more than we have been taught that we are. Please yearn for real truth in your life and you will be supermen and women. Peace and much Love is the key and that ONLY comes from your heart once fear and hatred are gone. 😇
I find him again his voice hits the soul. Magical ❤❤❤
I may only be 17 from a small rural county… but I have loved your music since Rich Men North of Richmond. Your lyrics have always given me a sense of relief that I’m not alone, but this song in particular hits me the hardest.
I have to thank the Lord for bringing me to your music and praise him for being in my life.
If you are aware of all that you are well ahead of most your age. Nice.
your lines pierce the soul oliver, music needs to be like this again, it truly is a lost art, thank you for bringing it back!

The outside recordings are the best. The background noises and sounds add to the song
yes.
I love the dogs! They're so used to it :)
Agreed. He's awesome and real people need real music not robot drug addict rap that isn't even lyrical or anything
Agreed except for Mommas Been Hurtin.
I LOVE his voice. It is perfect for this kind of music. Keep on keeping on brother. Love your music.
Sir, I would like to thank you for giving all of us a piece of yourself through your music. Thank you, don't sell out. Your worth more than they can pay. God bless. Isaiah 6:8 NIV
If I'm remembered when I'm dead and gone of anything, it's my hope that I'm remembered as someone who tried to help change that.
you are awesome
@@oliveranthonymusic Amen brother
I'm a good bit younger than you (about to move away from home for the first time) but I feel your sentiment in this song, even if for me those good times I look back on were a decade later. Just wanna say thanks for the music to help keep me grounded in this difficult phase of life.
Thank you for the amazing music you make & create for us to listen to.
Thank you for listening! I am blessed with the most incredible audience I could ask for. I haven't met one person yet out in public or at a show that made me think otherwise. Everyone's been great. And I greatly appreciate it. ❤
@oliveranthonymusic thanks for being a kind man in a world of shit.
@@danaveye3977 that’s one of the biggest vibes I get from him. Kind and humble. It’s so refreshing to know that still exists in this troubled world!
You're voice is one of the soulful I've ever heard. Thank you for your music.
