You wanna know who is responsible for Theory making that face? Dave Filoni. Dave Filoni approved of everything you are seeing in The Acolyte. Don't forget that. He is front and center with the marketing. He is sitting there doing interviews with Leysle Headlund (Harvey Weinstein's former personal assistant just like how Kathleen Kennedy was Steven Spielberg's former personal assistant). It's hilarious how Theory still thinks Dave Filoni will "save" Star Wars. On the Star Grift Podcasts with Ryan and Mauler, his response was always "who will do it better than Dave Filoni and Jon Faverau?" when it comes to handling Star Wars to someone else. Ryan said clean house, start over, and get rid of EVERYONE at Disney Lucasfilm. Theories blind faith in Dave Filoni is exhausting. Filoni isn't near as good as folks want to think. He knew how to showrun cartoons, with cartoon pacing. He doesn't know how to showrun live action - putting aside the nostalgia-farming in Ahsoka, the narrative and acting were terrible - but the pacing/narrative would work for a cartoon. I don't know why but I think we subconsciously forgive cartoons being slightly unrealistic in ways we don't forgive live action. And he clearly doesn't know how to big-picture plan a cinematic/tv universe, because over half the shows are crap.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t the Jedi have been more sceptical about training the sisters, not just because of thier age, but also because of all the attachments they have toward each other, and thier mother? When anakin was introduced to the Jedi he had a large attachment towards his mother and the Jedi were sceptical, but when these sisters have attachments the Jedi there seem to not mention it
Possibly, but you can definitely tell that Sol is much more connected to his emotions than the other Jedi. Plus, I think their goal visiting and spying on the coven wasn't primary to train the kids. They mentioned a republic law about not being allowed to train children, and seemed they were already suspicious of the coven for other unknown reasons. So this could be that they want to stop a group that is training children in the force, and really pushing their jurisdiction (they mentioned the planet wasn't part of the republic). I can only assume that Osha was only trained because Sol demanded it, and otherwise they would've just given the kids a new home away from the witches.

I tell you something. Leslye Headlan, former assistant to Harvey Weinstein, his right hand (it's a way of saying because his ideology is ultra left) she was aware of what her boss was doing, she knew that he harassed 83 women and raped 17 actresses and she is still free making series for the public, he is not in prison (he was his accomplice). She says she fights for women. On Weinstein's list, did she hire or help anyone?

Amen, Theory and so many other Utubers, Fans know Star Wars.
Imagine you’re a Muhammad Ali fan and you’ve been following his career since you were a kid for two solid decades. You take YOUR kid to see the next Ali bout. It turns out to be the Larry Holmes fight. Your kid has just now seen “The Greatest” get knocked out multiple times, and you having seen how great Ali was tell your kid that he’ll get em next time. Except next time Ali gets knocked out even quicker and more handily. Eventually, you get tired of taking your kid to see your hero get manhandled and you stop going to Ali fights all together, opting instead to show your kid the rerun Ali tapes at home. This is where Theory is right now. He knows how great Star Wars was/is, but he’s starting to recognize that those times are gone now and that he can’t keep bringing his kid “US” to see this slow mutually painful decline and that we might be better off just watching what made it great instead of what it’s become.
$180 million budget PLUS $50 million pre-production. I imagine we'll find out in 12 months that this blew out to over $300 million.

To be fair, that writer for Forbes hates everything. And I mean everything.
Many of you mention George Lukas, but I think he knew exactly that this would happen, and he just does not give a dime. He knew Disney and the people working on these projects. If he had been protective, he would have been protecting Star Wars through appropriate legal precautions.

The writer of Andor should write every SW show at this point
Andor slipped through the cracks. I can't believe the same studio produced both.

im just confused how all the other shows feel cheaper quality wise. andor with everything was super high quality. the budget for andor was 250 mill and this show is 180 mill. does the 70 mill difference really change the quality that much and if so why not just make the budget the same for everything lol. i also realized that dunes budget was 190 mill which is also crazy
Main reason why Andor season 2 is the only thing I am truly enthusiastic about Star Wars future. They have competent people working behind it and the available budget to make it stand out as season 1 did.

To paraphrase Bart Simpson "you can literally see the moment when his soul leaves his body"
When Filoni told Leslye Headland "this is your story" I think he meant that like to say "I have nothing to do with this", like distancing himself from anything that was going to happen in this show
Filoni could have always asked to tweak the storyline. People need to stop giving Filoni a free pass.
That is NOT what he meant. Filonis wife is a staunch mega feminist just like headland. He's a cowtowing coward. So tired of filoni worship. Most of his ideas had to be improved by other writers and George himself. "Muh umbra arc" filoni wasn't the reason that was good either.
Filoni is just as much of a problem as Headland
Filoni is just as much a talentless hack as Headland
Filoni isn't near as good as folks want to think. He knew how to showrun cartoons, with cartoon pacing. He doesn't know how to showrun live action - putting aside the nostalgia-farming in Ahsoka, the narrative and acting were terrible - but the pacing/narrative would work for a cartoon. I don't know why but I think we subconsciously forgive cartoons being slightly unrealistic in ways we don't forgive live action. And he clearly doesn't know how to big-picture plan a cinematic/tv universe, because over half the shows are crap.
Im starting to think "let the past die. kill it if you have to." Was actually a 4th wall break.

As a fan since I was 2 sitting on my dad's lap, yeah this all hurts, right in the childhood. Since this is all cannon it's retroactively rewriting and changing the stories we grew up with. So when we reminisce about the lessons we've learned it all leaves a bad taste, because now those lessons and stories are meaningless with the new shit that breaks it all in favor of their woke agenda they push.
Anakin's sacrifice and strength to become the father he was meant to be? Pointless, somehow Palpatine returned.
Luke being the literal embodiment of "Hope"? Nah he's a titty drinking exile who gives up in the end, then kills himself for absolutely no reason by overexerting himself.
Let's not talk about what they did to Obi-Wan..
Now we got the force, which Disney has been either slowly trying to turn it into something else, or they truly just don't get it.
Yes, these stories may be fiction, but the lessons of hope, being a good person, and facing evil with compassion and love are not. Star Wars was originally meant to teach young boys how to rise and be men, George said himself, now what are we teaching our young boys? To run and hide? Give up hope?
I know I didn't have to go this hard, but it doesn't matter what story they do it to, this should all scare us, this alteration of art, it's straight up Orwellian and they are doing it to everything.

But as far as I can remember in the extended universe Dathomir Magic users often referred to what they did as pulling on the threads of fate
Note: Rogue One is a masterpiece. There, I said it…again.
It's ok... I think it does undercut Luke's accomplishment in New Hope - best part is Vader's closing rampage. I think it's the weakness of the other Disney films that makes it look more favorable by comparison.
@@genghispecan Opinions are cool.
It did nothing of the sort for Luke’s story arc. Rewatch.
Threw in numerous Easter eggs and cameos, too many to list here (hell yeah! Baba and Evazan).
Gave us hands down the best Droid in the universe. Yeah I said it, watch the supercut. Every line delivered by K2SO is absolute GOLD. Aesthetically amazing. First film to truly give us a more visceral martial arts/Jedi connection. Which in turn gave us the best fight scene against stormtroopers hands down!
Unflinching commitment to bleak the subject matter (so un-Disney like)…Spoiler Alert: all the characters you actually grow to care about (again, so un-Disney like), DIE. Even the droid “dies.” The film ends with an “atomic blast” of EPIC proportions.
And yes, you are right to point out the Vader scene. Hands down the absolute best Vader scene in any movie. That’s right. Rogue One took one of the most beloved characters and gave us the best scene imaginable. Once again, completely true to all the “lore.” That’s throughout the entire film.
So, by Disney-era standards…yeah, Masterpiece. I don’t rate the TV shows in the same category as the films. But Rogue absolutely destroyed anything they delivered in the last trilogy. Han aside (and that disrespectful death oh lord), that trilogy was total trash. So, imho, Disney has never made anything as true to the lore for fans than this. A little story about one of many battles leading up to the Great War that would be to follow.
Oh…also gave us the best AT-AT sequences imaginable. Yes, even better than Empire.
@neomatrix6160 agreed. A very well done star wars film. Didn't quite feel the same as the rest, but very well done nonetheless
@@neomatrix6160 Nailed it. The coordination of the war aspects was untouchable. The final battle was a depressingly beautiful contrast to that paradise planet. The only thing I wasn't really OK with was the ramming ship. It seemed implausible, but at least there was precedent for it taken from the EU. The destruction of Jedda was super dark. Tonally that is what Star Wars needs to be. It's not a fun cartoon. It's about witnessing serious moral challenges against a dark backdrop of authoritarianism. Woke children can't write that script.
The only way the sequels would have worked would have been to show the slippage of the New Republic into an authoritarian behemoth and returning to the oppressive apathy of the Old Republic and its bloated bureaucracy. Digging the Imps back up was a narrative cop out. The enemy is the tax man stealing local coffers to pay for a war machine to fight no one. Force use doesn't matter much anymore unless it's to save someone from a workplace injury or to stop crazy criminals.

Well, to compare to Anakin, they sre still on "Tatooine" so how exactly is the Jedi Council supposed to say anything when they haven't reported to them yet?
@@colerosenbalm4 I’m talking about those four Jedi. Not the council, this 4 Jedi did not seem to care about the attachments of the sisters
You're right in terms of the prequels. I feel like if this show had been done well they could have explained a difference in ideology that could have been possible during the High Republic that changed by the time of Anakin's arrival at the temple. They're more concerned with checking inclusivity boxes than making a coherent palatable story.
