I'm gonna rewatch the celebration at the end of return of the jedi over and over on that day.
They need to clean house completely. That includes Filoni btw, who has been supporting and promoting this series since the start, and ruined Thrawn in Ahsoka, Boba in TBOBF, made The Mandalorian the Bo Katan show, and did that horrendous Tales of the Empire series. Favreau was 100% the brains behind the first 2 Seasons of The Mandalorian, and George was 100% behind the brilliance of The Clone Wars. Filoni is a fraud. Always has been.
If the ratings for this show tank with the budget it has and she still doesn’t get fired then you know she knows where the train station is

When a show is only 3 episodes in and already has to do a full flashback episode, you know the story sucks.

@itz_TJD flashbacks are a lazy form of storytelling. It basically means your present story isn't interesting enough to stand on its or leave some mystery for the audience. George Lucas never used a single flashback in the OT or the prequels

There’s a theory that Mae was controlled by someone, specifically using the dark side. It would make more sense story wise if they do go that direction, because it makes no sense that Mae still cares for Osha when she literally tried to kill her. As a writer myself, that’s the only way I see it happening near the end of the story, cause again… this is ep 3 out of 8.
I often disagree with Theory, but I like him as a person. This was genuinely painful to watch him suffering through this rubbish.
Sadly he has held out hope. The stringer the hope the greater the pain when it is removed.
They are so uncreative and unimaginative the girls have had the same hairstyle their entire lives. They think the audience is so dumb we couldn’t figure out who the characters are unless they look exactly the same.

It's a shame he held out hope for this long. There are thousands of people involved in making these programs and to assume that there is ignorance or oversight on the part of them, especially when hundreds of millions are on the table, requires copious amounts naivety. These people are driven by an ideological hatred for the host property they are now sucking dry and they are being thoroughly methodical in their systematic deconstruction of this once great IP. Absolutely disgusting what Disney has done.

We can all agree the Jack Black & Lizzo episode of Mando was the cringe-y, Jar Jar Binks-level funny (and bringing up the fact that there were still CIS sympathizers kicking about after the fall of the Empire... which is plausible). This episode... was funny for all the wrong reasons.

Theory finally feeling what I’ve felt for the past 10 years
One thing I wanna mention which I feel is not being discussed, there is no way Mae killed all the witches. The scene around 1:25 seems to me like something else is going on at the witch coven.
To me it seemed like maybe the reactor might be sabotaged, it does blow up later in the episode. And you can't convince me some ten year old did that.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did another flashback from a different perspective. Maybe the Jedi actually killed the witches, that would explain Master Torbin's guilt when he drank the poison. And also Maes's anger towards the Jedi who were there that night.
Also, another theory I have is that maybe the witches did create the twins without a “father” but not in the same miraculous birth Anakin was made. Like Snoke in the new trilogy, maybe the twins were made in some lab and then put inside the witch to grow like normal. If true this would explain why the Jedi would kill a whole coven of witches, and blow up their home to destroy the evidence. They are making force-sensitive children unnaturally and I could see how this would anger the Jedi.
If I am correct this doesn't really break Star Wars lore as far as I know.
The show is mid but not as bad as everyone is suggesting. I would hold out complete judgment on it until all episodes are released.
The force thread idea is as good of an explanation of the force as dragon ball supers "back tingle" explanation of how to go super sayain.

i get the feeling, looking at the trailer footage, that this was only 1 point of view (osha's) and we wil get an other one from mae, in the trailer a jedi climbs a wall wich seems to be the wall from the witch temple, also the explosion on the outside of the temple from the trailer was not seen on screen, only the fire

@ThunderBZaper logic doesn't need to be stated for everyone to understand how terrible this is written. Just because in a later episode there will be an explanation on something doesn't not excuse the terrible writing now. There was no foreshadowing, no basic plotting to set up the events of the fire. The characters, although children are written to be both stupid and annoying to the point of contrivance. You can't just "well actually" in this situation as the writing is so poor and broken.

So many things wrong... But I want to point at the music... a great track can elevate a good show into a masterpiece, or a bad show into something more acceptable...
But the music of this show, although ok-ish, its not StarWars-ish, nor unique... its just out of place... also the dance and everything else... it fails to grasp the style and essence of the original Star Wars soundtrack, which is actually unique.
Looking at this, feels like watching a complete different show... remove the lightsabers and people talking about jedi, and you won't be able to guess the tittle of this show.
Also why can’t others in the universe see The Force differently? Why does it have to be the Skywalker Saga way or nothing?

By far the worse Star Wars series DIsney has put out. Bad acting, bad dialogue, lore breaking, sets and CGI dont reflect a 180 million budget etc. I never thought I'd see a series worse than the Book of Boba Fett but here we are!
The fact that dune 2 was only 10 million more and house of the dragon was half the cost makes zero sense like what did they do with it
I thought Kenobi was much worse than TBOBF, especially considering the stakes and expectations. I thought Kenobi would never be bested as the worst Star Wars series, but here we are. TBOBF and Mando Season 3 are still trash btw. Haha I’m a huge Temuera fan btw, and am still gutted with how they treated and wrote Boba in his show, and have ghosted Boba ever since Temuera started to criticize Disney Star Wars.

Nothing about this show is Star Wars. The characters, set, and story is like a parody, a fan film, or a mockery. It just doesn’t feel right. Its like the Disney hotel. The only Star Wars that I will watch now days is 1-6 and the clone wars. Those are still special and still feel like Star Wars.
