@@photonotavailable7936 I actually wasn't originally going to go. I had spent any money I had that week and wanted to go, but couldn't afford tickets. Then, in high school (yes I was in high school) my friend John couldn't go and walked up to me and gave me his ticket, because he knew I wanted to go. So I ended up going by accident and it is still one of the best shows I have ever seen.
Wow, the late, great John Wetton’s singing and bass playing here reminds me of the late, great Jack Bruce’s singing and bass playing. John and Jack, miss you both. Gone too soon. Rest in peace.
THAT WAS MOST AWSOME ive got live a version of sole survivor when John was in a band caled "qango" some of you may have heard about that but its always nice to hear this song played different for the first time... i absolutely love Asia's first album tho RIP John
No disrespect to Greg lake .but without John wetton pure and simple there is no Asia . How I love John's voice and bass playing . Rip Mr wetton. That golden powerful voice will sadly be missed .great version
RIP John. I can hear your bass very clearly on this version unlike the original Asia album cuts. The keyboard player is no Geoff Downes, but at least he faces the audience!
"Sole Survivor". He lasted just one more month to not to add to the list of greats lost in disastrous 2016.He shared stages around the world with many of them!
From [Only time will tell]-"The brightest ring around the moon, will darken when I die." The World is darker without you John! God bless you, I know you are playing for the Lord everyday!
John Wetton ! Va ska man säga ! John har varit bandmedlem i Mogul Thrash, Family, King Crimson, Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry Band, Uriah Heep, UK samt Asia. !!!
Weird mix choice putting so much plate reverb on the drums. It's a live show, it makes him sound like he's in a completely different space than the rest of the band.
Amazing...one of the best rock vocalists ever...
John was in a league of his own! This is an incredible performance!
Saw Asia on their 2nd tour date ever in April 1982. Such an amazing show. John is my favorite prog voice ever.
Fox Theater, Stockton, California, May 24, 1982.
