One of the most beautiful piano pieces ever... when I was going to college I would wake and play this song over and over again to start my day back in the early 80’s RIP John
When I was a kid in high school, I would listen to the local college radio station every morning before leaving for school. One morning this song came on. I SCRAMBLED to turn on my tape deck and record it! I got most of it. I would play this song for DOZENS of musicians (I play keyboards) and people who were basically "music encyclopedias". Nobody had the slightest idea who it was, nor had anyone ever heard the song!!! For DECADES I searched for this song. Then one day I told my wife about a snippet of the lyrics. She HATES all music except old fashioned country music. However, she searched the internet and casually told me later in the week, "That song you've been searching for is called 'Rendevous 6:02' by a band called 'UK'". I didn't believe her, but upon looking it up . . . This is one of those songs that sticks with us for our entire lives. I sit in the dark and play it over and over. Thank you, John Wetton and UK - RIP!
Moving story 😊 in the UK we worshipped them in my group of friends and went to every gig we could. They illuminated my teen and later years . I am classically trained. Of course I loved them, the pinnacle of progressive rock bands, virtuoso 's 😍

This piece is just stunning and let's not leave out Eddie Jobson's superb accompaniment. So many of these wonderful musicians are leaving us - but they leave a superb legacy of real music which, sadly, our younger folk will miss unless we educate them! I know that sound pompous, but we are lucky to have had these guys from our time and still luckier that we have the means to preserve their work. God bless them.
My heart is broken. Such a loss of a beautiful soul and brilliant musician. I learned so much from him. That's how he lives on through us. Listen and learn.
Can't believe I did a 2 week tour of Germany and Vienna opening for Saga (right around this time of year, 26 years ago. We opened the show (my band was called Britton) and Saga closed. In the middle was Mr Wetton and his acoustic guitar. I would stand off the stage at the side and watch him very time he came on. I used to have breakfast with him every morning. He was such a nice guy and a BRILLIANT musician. Godspeed, John Wetton. Time flies...
But also, these musicians know their history Because after Waterloo England fell into another financial system, the fall of Waterloo was unexpected for the UK I love the lyrics together with the beautiful sad sounding piano
I discovered this song about a month ago. Cannot stop playing it. Get misty every time. Such ethereal singing and piano. Music of the spheres no doubt.

John's voice is as beautiful as ever here and Jobson's stellar keyboard playing too. One of UK's finest works . R.I.P. John. Prog will not be the same without you !
Huge U.K. fan here! I love all three albums, but probably Danger Money the most! This is my favorite song, with "In The Dead Of Night" being a close 2nd! Thank you very much for posting! This is awesome! R.I.P., John Wetton...

RIP John Wetton. Too many times people get described as legends, you sir, are one. I've been listening to your skills since 1982. Today is a VERY sad day for me and millions of fans.
Beautiful song and excellent vocals John Wetton. The keyboard player was amazing as well. Thanks for posting this beautiful song which I never heard before. Loved it.
Such beauty that will never die. John Wetton was an idol of mine. I will miss his always perfect vocals. Eddie Jobson is the best keyboardist ever in my humble opinion. Such beautiful playing transports me to wherever he sends me. RIP John Wetton. Eddie Jobson has lost his greatest partner in music.

Wow. Wow wow wow. As the fortunate owner of the UK albums (vinyl) this is music that I frequently listen to. This live version, however, gives me even more goose bumps.
Este tema me ha acompañado toda mi vida, ahora sé porque la buena música perdura en el tiempo...!!!...gracias a éstos músicos que nunca mueren porque existen en nuestro corazón, alma y conciencia...GRACIASSSSSSS
Heard them first time not so long ago thanks to Spotify's suggestions. Got caught by that piece, it have a melancholic and disturbing tone, one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
John Wetton.
I was lucky enough to see them live way back when they opened for Jethro Tull at the Oakland Coliseum. It was without Holdsworth but Holy Shit. Alaska into Time to kill sounded just like the Live album but loud and powerful. Watching Terry Bozzio leap at those China Pang Cymbals was breath taking. I wanted to play every UK tune I could learn (I play keys). Steve Smith, the drummer for journey was there that night as well and commented that it was one of the best shows he had ever seen. His other one was seeing Bonzo with Zeppelin. UK was an amazing band to see back then
Love this song, love UK , Love John Wetton. All our heros are passing ! We need to share this great type of music with people to keep Fusion music alive. Please Alan Holdsworth please stay healthy .....
This band was a supergroup. It deserved alot more attention than it got. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I just discovered Danger Money. Wow! what a great album! Thanks John RIP
The whole UK period is fantastic. I consider this song the most well known, but others, like 'The only thing she needs' are better imho.
Albums or songs I should keep my ears open for? New to Mr. Wetton.

Wetton was one clever songwriter.
Zorn Casteel He would tease anyone who asked about the song. It's a ghost story.
One of Jobson's most excellent compositions, along with Carrying No Cross and In The Dead of Night. A most musical performance by two legends.
