my gray tabby cat has the primordial pouch but she’s a large cat and weighs 14 lbs. She’s not overweight for her breed. She doesn’t like to have her belly rubbed. She will swat at me if I try to do it so I don’t try. Yes, remove those bells. They’re not necessary.

We found an emaciated, sick cat on a trip. He was long and tall, but weighed 8#. He adopted us and got healthy, gaining weight to 12#, where he's remained to this day. He seems sinewy and fit. Now he has a swaying pouch. I reviewed his many early photos and his belly was perfectly flat. I figure the pouch was for food storage. Women store fat on our hips and breasts, men on their middles. So when you're well nourished (or over nourished!), you need somewhere to store it. 🐈‍⬛

We have a window perch where our cat can look at the outdoors where she can watch and chirp at the birders. She eats 1 can of friskies wet food each day with 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the afternoon. We have a 2nd floor walled in deck where she can get fresh air and watch the hummingbirds as they come to the feeder. She chirps at them.

I have seen opossum, raccoon and skunk in my neighborhood. There's a lumber yard just down the block as well with trucks coming and going several times a day. As a result I have decided that it would be in their best interest if the cats stayed in the house. I would be all tore up if something happened to my baby girls.

No. Cats and dogs have evolved. Just because you have chosen not to believe they have evolved doesn't make it any less true that they have.
And if you're going to use this argument, then you must explain how a loving God created children with the foreknowledge that they would get cancer and die young. Or forced a woman to carry a fetus with deformities so severe it would never live outside the womb.

I love cats, but letting your cat - or any other animal - eat off of a plate on a table across from you while you are eating is simply gross. Letting a cat sit on a dining room table is also simply gross. Geeeeesh!
