Mr.Puzzle / lol, yes U-F-O. “Ufo” that’s funny. I mean that in a nice way of course. Your English is great! I speak to my friends in Germany 2-3 times a week. So I understand. My German is limited to numbers and maybe understanding a bit of conversation. In Bavaria as their dialect is easier for me because I spend more time there. Great puzzle! Enjoy the spring weather!!
Hahaha! I was like "uuffoo? What...?" then I read this comment and had to laugh. Your personality is one of the things I love about your channel and the main reason why I subbed. Or, more simply, I came for the puzzles but I stayed for Mr.Puzzle.
Kevsepticaye OG gutted for you lad, I'm English. Have a Glaswegian best mate I've known since the early teens and was with a Glaswegian bird for a while so I wouldn't feel too bad.
I vicariously enjoy watching you figure the puzzles out (along with the time display), as I don't have the patience or ability to accomplish such endeavors; very fascinating!
I enjoy the process and excitement when Mr.Puzzle solves it. Because video was edited and speed up in this way, it felt like he almost immediately found the solution, even though it was 30+ min. Only 3 minutes for the process it's not enough 😢 What I want to say - Mr.Puzzle, I like to see you struggle more and then be rewarded, please make your videos longer, especially if it's amazing Hanayama puzzles. Thank you for cool videos!
I cannot understand how Mr. Puzzle has less likes, views and subscribers than Chris Ramsay. Mr Puzzle actually does the same puzzles so much better and using logic and he knows what he's doing, so much that there's always an impeccable explanation of how everything works. Congrats Mr. Puzzle!!
I hadn't thought about it, but this new format is great because it satisfies those of us who are just here to watch you figure out solutions, and also helps those who may legitimately be here to see a solution to a puzzle they have
Perfect presentation. I've always enjoyed the fluent solution videos which were the standard. The newer, live solve videos are very entertaining. Combining the two concepts is great!!
I like this puzzle very much. It's extremely satisfying when the first piece falls out. A tip to make the solution less fiddly (spoilers): when the pieces are in the correct position to attempt removing one, open them slightly like you do to look inside. Then the correct piece will slide out freely with a few taps of the frame. Also, there are I believe 9 possible orientations for the 1 & 2 numbered pieces because the 2 pieces have asymmetry. With certain orientation and by opening the gap slightly before attempting, a number 2 piece can even fall out at first instead of the number 1 piece.
I had to watch solutions just for know that my tinking was correct, but my Ufo still remain stubbornly closed. I've tried many techniquesbut nothing happens. Soooo frustrating! :-(
Yeah he completely missed this. The #1 piece can be in 3 positions relative to the #3 piece (which is easy to see when you open it). And for each position, there are three possible orientations of the number 2 pieces (both correct, one correct, both incorrect). So you're right, it's 9 different orientations, and only one is easy to get a piece out. It's super hard to see which positions the 1 and 2 pieces are in, especially if you haven't opened it before. But to systematically iterate through the different orientations, simply rotate on alternating axes until the piece opposite the number 3 comes out easily.
I liked the way you did this one, showing the solve and then the solution, it makes things very clear because while I enjoy puzzles I don't have the time or money to get all these and this format gives the satisfaction of the solve along with the knowledge of how it works.
I like your new format. I still enjoy watching the whole video, though. I will continue to watch it all. Great work, as always. Looking forward to your next puzzle!
I do like it like this! I enjoy watching the first solve because it's interesting to see how you go about puzzles and your thought process. Yet, it is also very interesting to be able to see the "fluent way". You spend so much time to really understand and break down the puzzle. This way, it's really the best of both worlds.
Very, very pleased to see you return to the channel's original concept of explaining the solutions. Since the live solve is also entertaining, I think including both in your videos is a good idea.
Thank you so much for another great video. I always enjoy watching. The way you analyze your puzzles is such a great help in the way i think about my puzzles. As always looking forward to any new videos and the new puzzles i'm introduced to
Hi Mr.Puzzle, I really enjoyed this puzzle and also appreciate the secondary explanation of the results. Thank you very much and as you say Keep On Puzzling 🧩💜🧩
I like this approach. Your attempt first, then the intended solution, then resetting the puzzle. The reset in this video, for a Hanayama, was quick and satisfying. Still wouldn't mind a 10 minute vid with a harmless ad or 2. The ads could split up the segments. ❤
Almost every time Mr Puzzle uploads, I get likes on comments from his older vids. Proof that there are newcomers who watch one, and binge watch the rest.
It looks shiny so it catches attention of small kids who can barely click on things and don't know how to turn autoplay off, which is why the algorithm actually makes RUclips a lot of money from ads by exploiting dumb children. And RUclips cares more about money than giving recommendations that you may actually want because adults don't have as much free time so screw them D:
BeginPanicAttack I didn’t get baby videos but with most videos I watch the other videos that come up as recommended in my mind have nothing to do with the video I’m already watching and by now I’m used to it and it doesn’t bother me anymore but it used to be like what the hell
It would be awesome if hanayama made the box it comes in as a puzzle itself, made out of cardboard paper and plastic. You have to solve the box just to get to the puzzle. Lol
6:33 The piece opposite the chamfered one is not necessarily the one you can take out easily. It could be a piece with a "long edge" as you called it. Even if it is the one without a long edge, it might be hard to take out if the two long-edge pieces are swapped. Of the 6 arrangements of the three non-chamfered pieces, only one works.
Glad to see you were able to get one. I thought it was a pretty clever puzzle. I was mislead at first and spent a lot of time trying the wrong thing as well, definitely a 4 out of 5. As always, I enjoy the live solves and the summary at the end is a nice addition! Keep up the great work. :)
It was impossible for me to get this one early. I even registered at Amazon.jp just to learn that the dealer does not ship outside of Japan. Next time I will directly ask you for help! 😁
I really like to see both: the solving attempt and the straight solution afterwards. I would do the personal difficulty rating as the last part of the video. This gives time to reflect on the rating
I think both formats in the same video would be great: 1- You struggling and also 2- The clear and fast solution. But that would mean much more work for you per video. So I don't care what you'll decide, they'll be great no matter what.
This makes me sad. I’ve been trying my hardest, and I can’t find UFO anywhere. Mr. Puzzle, you kick ass! I now own almost 40 Hanayama puzzles because of you and Chris Ramsay. It’s a much healthier and better addiction than what I used to spend money on. Thank you! Now, if I can just find UFO. Lol
Very cool format for readily available puzzles like Hanayama, thanks ! The condensed and explained solution is a great bonus. It might not be too useful with very limited or unique puzzles tho.
I like the 2 part thing. Personally I think we should watch the whole thing anyways but the fact that you give your viewers the option to skip is awesome.. many RUclipsrs aim for watchtime and try to clickbait or extend videos and it's transparent. But you even go out of your way to give the option. Kudos 😊👌
Interesting puzzle, but I wish you had shown a bit more on the parts and why the sphere prevents the frame from opening when the puzzle is in an assembled state. I do like the look of the puzzle. It looks pretty solid and easy to manipulate the parts.
I like the solving process. Currently I'm stuck with the hamayama l'euf. I can only get it half way done. It looks like the balls have to come out seperately and not at the same time? But it's infuriating me now. Lol
Yes I think the fluid solution would be cool on some puzzles. It’s like a “super” solution because you have it totally mastered. And that presents the same puzzle in a different way than a “discovered” solution as that’s a trial & error or worked for a long time solution. So a “super solution” on most puzzles would be good. Maybe not the Giraffe puzzle as it’s just to complex. ;-) Try a few and see, I think the answer is in just doing it and seeing how the videos are. It can’t be bad-worst case it would be a bit repetitive. But again depends on the puzzle. A repetitive disentanglement puzzle would be a bad choose. This “Ufo” puzzle its a great plan! ;-) Best regards

Have you considered putting in a time stamp for the review of the puzzle after it's solved? That way people who really enjoy your opinions can see what you think about them without the puzzle being spoiled :)

A couple of notes on this as it's a pretty decent puzzle.
