Finally got around to watching this, you know Holiday Stuff. This was a hilarious video, I Love all the bloopers and retakes, too funny!
The hole in the door, good place to stash the weed - ha ha ha. When you were arguing with that stair step and couldn't figure it out, very stressful. I'm surprised you don't have a very full vocabulary of 4 letter words, I know I certainly would. And.....we got to see one of the babies. Loved this - Thank you. I remember you asking about the framing of your rafters because you hadn't seen framing like it, and you were asking why they would do it that way. I recently started reading a forgotten title called Pioneer Building. In the 1800s, there was a style of framing called balloon framing. It started to fall out of favor around the 1930s and 40s. Your roof rafters are characteristic of that type of framing. A nail and bracing form of framing it fell out of fashion because it often did not have insulation and required long dimensional lumber in place of joinery in most places, making it cheaper to build.
I figured you'd like to have a point of reference to look yourself.

Great question! I do leave some in the videos but at the end of the day I am trying to make videos that help people to do their own home repairs. Most people who find me from looking for a "how to" video, I assume, would not care to see me be a goofball. 😂 With that said, I think there is a place for it and have started putting clips at the end of every video. Now I am trying to find a balance that would work for everyone where I can be myself on camera but not annoy people. Thank you for the question!
