I am a firm believer that unless you take it down to the studs you are simply putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. Rot, mold, etc could soon be noticed. Do it right or get lost. Excellent work in this video. I cannot find anyone that will keep an appointment to provide estimates - therefore I do not trust them to ever do anything near acceptable work.
The kitchen turned out beautifully! Love how that last cabinet wraps around the wall into the living area 👏🏽
The little peeks of the dog napping or just lying around while you work incredibly hard are killing me 😂

I'm gettin ready to have new kitchen installed from the floor tile to the back splash. I can hardly wait to replace the old kitchen that was built when the house was built 1938. I'm a workaholic, and I'm gonna do my own demo, but this dude in video is makin me tired just looking at him. I'm impressed.

Our home was also built in 1961 and the kitchen was still living in that era-but it was actually a great sized kitchen.
Since I loved the layout, we kept that the same. That was so nice when it came to measuring and demo.
I adore my kitchen now! It’s large, practical and pretty!🥰

Going to the ceiling with the crown molding took that kitchen to another level, sent shivers down my spine
that was amazing! great job! taking the backsplash up to the ceiling above the sink was a great idea to make the space look even more grand. mine has just painted wall above the backsplash, not to mention the window isnt even centered between the cabinets. i imagine everyday that having the backsplash up to the ceiling would help distract from my asymmetrical window spacing. anyway, good job seeing the whole project through! it must be super overwheming at times looking at all the work ahead, but you pull through and do a wonderful job!

What a great video. Although I watched each individual segment when posted, the time lapse of the whole project was great fun. Such a great job on the kitchen, congratulations! I am still looking forward to the basement steps being replaced.
Only a couple of minutes into this and wow, what a neat tear apart. Mostly the trend is total destruction that looks like a bomb exploded. This is quite refreshing.

Great work Matt! I appreciate both your thoughts on demo from a previous video (respect the previous homeowner) as well as your approach (i.e. bagging as you go vs. making a pile). I demo'd my business and a pile means demoing twice.

Was looking into redoing my ceiling with drywall instead of drop ceiling and was told I need a drywall hanger/lift, and here this man just screwed two blocks into some studs for leverage lmao amazing work my dude! I kept thinking you'd start putting in the new parts and then you'd replace the fricking wiring or something lmao you really took it to the bones and built it back up again. That's quality work that you can't get nowadays.
