- Onboard footage from the Ferrari F355 at Fuji track.
And again the beautiful foot cam footage paying special attention at both the double clutching and the heel-toe downshifting techniques.
Amazing sound! Авто/Мото
I'm actually more impressed by the evo being able to keep up with the F355 on big tracks like Fuji
You mean destroyed itself trying to keep pace, this has happened before to EVOs. Than again, Best Motoring was notorious for racing cars that needed to be serviced before beating on them, as evidenced by all the cars that broke or had premature wear here. ruclips.net/video/0DJmLus4im0/видео.html
Omg what a grip! Tranction and break
5:31 ninja shifting!
no wonder it broke :D
Such a beauty
as old as these videos are, they are so well produced. i love top gear UK, but i don't feel that they do as good of a job in producing the content as awesome as it is.
To the guy about having a size 15 shoe... I have a size 15 also. I am 6'7" and drive an Nsx and evo 8. I can EASILY heel toe downshift all day long. Try using the side of your foot instead of the heel. Use the largeness to your advantage. And stop being a wimp and try it. It helps your driving tremendously. Not just fancy foot work...
fastest shifting ive seen in a f355
My God, some people are really stupid, thinking Kurosawa San is making Heel and Toe for show......have you ever drive on a track??? By driving, I mean driving fast.....not just accelerate in the straights! And do you know what happens when you don't use this footwork? Either you're very slow, or you lock your wheels, and this can damage a lot more than tyres.....
@onefastnsx Big feet is an advantage, especially in the terrible peddle layouts of production cars. Except for the e36 bmw and the c6 and c4 corvettes the pedals of production cars are in the worst spots, its like they are the right distance apart, but too far agaisnt the firewall and too high up. No brake booster makes heel-toe a lot easier too, and your brakes actually give u feedback!
kurosawa is not full full throttle in the straight... i saw that in other videos.. its for the japanise car don't look like to slow.
What we learn with video?
Evo are sick
top gear production value is way better than best motoring. best motoring just does more racing.... which is great!
guy in white daihatsu is a good driver lol
@DThaeman Yeah! That's not necessary though It's really nice...
ah i see, foot size. use the size of your foot, my friend has the same problem but he overcame it by buying some thin shoes and trying to find the right angle + some after market pedals will help with heel toe as well.
imo though, double clutching is fine.
What happened with the Mitsu?
anybody knows the music at the end?
シビアなドラテクにブラボー
Why?
охренеть! )) ещё бы черепаху с зайцем сравнили!
ファステストランエボ、、、
are you kidding me, heel toe is very easy.
I learn Double clutch and Heel toe in 1 day and took me about 4 more days to master it.
It is all about practice go find a empty parking lot and try, try and try.
remember to watch out for anyone pulling in the parking lot as well.
@Believe Inyourself Yeah, he probably "mastered" it at parking lot speeds. Things get very different in road or especially track conditions. I bought a $100 Ford Escort 1993 (european model) on 1st april and I revmatch on downshifts everytime (without braking yet) and I still happen to do it wrong, especially when I can't hear the engine (and I don't have a tachometer), I succeeded with heel and toe a few times too, but in slow village road driving, things get very rowdy when you drive fast and it's a whole different level. Plus my car has no idle at the moment which makes stuff even more difficult.
His downshifting is poor at the beginning, it looks like the peddles are awkward for him, cause this dude knows how to drive, i saw him drive the shit out of a 430 gt2 car. But he is basically dumping the clutch on the downshifts, no where near enough throttle for the big downshifts. sounds like my girlfriend downshifting. I've only driven one ferarri and it had a hewland, but i have never done that much double clutching on a synchromesh trans b4-maybe ferrari's are stubborn?
