If you are going to call plinking with strider mashing buttons then you might as well say fighting games in general are about mashing buttons lol.
And that's why you have to NOT give up, there is always a slim chance to make a comeback and win the battle, that Strider Hiryu was nuts!!!

mvc2 had infinites that didn't even require a mixup. (Most infinites in mvc3 require a TAC which can be broken).

that Jill player had some sick combos giving max a lot of trouble but in the end with enough practice and observing his patterns max triumphed in the end that match had me at the end of my seat this is why marvel vs capcom is so fun to watch

Doom has some of the more complicated neutral at the highest level, along with having bad match ups against more than 50% of the cast. Your comment just tells me you don't understand higher level Marvel. It's probably good you don't play Doom, cause you'd just foot dive constantly ^.^

Considering how often he's used, I'll have to say you're just talking out of your ass and trying to make him sound worse than he is. The fact is he's not nearly as bad as you just tried to portray him. As a character and an assist, doom is among the best there is in the game.

So, i'm not a fighting game kind of guy and I'm not at all familiar with this game aside from watching videos of it here on Max's channel. But hearing this dramatic piano tone play when Wesker used his special/ultimate or w/e at 7:53 just cracked me up in particular lol. It sounded like something out of a movie, not a video game, I guess is why.
This game, in my opinion, is the most dissapointing and worst semi-respectable fighting game of all time. But Max is playing it, so I have to watch. He even made me buy REVELATOR and 3S.

I pretty don't like cause it harsh to newcomers not use to fighting game. The trial mode really doesn't teach the full mechanic of games.

It just feels like a huge step backwards from the standard set by MvC2. The online netcode was better, it took more skill to master a character, and it had fan favorites like Sakura, Gambit, and Megaman that were almost ignored completely in MvC3. Sure, both had balancing issues, but despite MvC3 having an edge in being in the era of gaming where patch updates were a thing, CAPCOM didn't take advantage of this and left the game as another unbalanced mess. Though MvC2 had a similar problem, it can be excused as only getting one guess at how characters could balance out.
Basically, MvC3 had a smaller roster and more problems than the previous game, and although those problems could be fixed easily by a team of professionals who knew what they were doing, they weren't. Comparatively, MvC2 was a more complete game with fewer problems and more replay value. Was either perfect? No. But MvC3 had a better chance to get closer to perfection and yet wasted its advantages over the (at the time) 11-year-old game.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a joke. It reminds me of Super Smash Bros as in it's not really a fighting game but people convince themselves it is so they get really competitive with it. This is also a game where the better you are at it the more ridiculous it looks because you're doing the same thing over and over and over until you win.
This game was so much fun when I was absolutely terrible at it. Now I just destroy and don't feel good so I must agree with you there.

Smash is most definitely fighting game, but it's as untraditional as umvc3
