Okay, I got distracted reading the comments and had to back up and watch this over again. I love you, your videos are on the top of my list. I wish I had RUclips in 1960 when I got married, didn't know how to cook, and married a man who wouldn't have been happy with anything anyway. I learned, and then married a man who loved to cook. He would have been ecstatic watching your videos.
I love that you say you can never go back to store bought salsa! My husband makes ours and MAN is that the truth. He does our Ninja blender and all. Now I am going to request it from him. BRB 🤣
Hi Mandy. You and your husband are an adorable couple and your videos are so fun to watch. I am praying for you all and have experienced tragic loss this year in January. My 23 year old daughter died tragically and unexpectedly. In a brief moment, my best friend and beautiful daughter was gone. Because it was a murder, I wasn’t even able to see her until the funeral 5 days later. My heart is ever so broken. Without Jesus, there would be no hope. But sure as He LIVES, I can face tomorrow! 🙏 Be blessed Mandy… God is so good and He sees us through the saddest moments on this side of heaven. He is forever faithful and TRUE! ❤ Keep swimming and keep making your cute videos. I truly love them all. RIP Victoria and Gracie💗💗💗
Gracie Lou messaged me, since I'm the mom of 9 cats, and asked me to tell you that everything needs cheese but, if you disagree that's okay but you really should keep some cheese out every meal to give her. She said she's always a good girl and even accepted Gideon without a fight, so she thinks the least you can do is give her cheese every supper. (I tried Gracie, hope they listen!)
I love watching your recipes. I do recommend making your own broths with chicken bones. I make a lot with veggies scraps. You can with those spinach stems & other scraps you have it’s great then cool & use those scraps & put into your garden or yard where you are going to start planting soon to start fertilizing.
That can opener was a lifesaver as my hand strength has decreased. I was so excited about it that I have everybody one for Christmas that next year! LOL
One of the best parts of summer is making salsa with peppers and tomatoes you grew in your backyard. ❤ Love my Ninja too. Had it 10 years and keeps on ticking.
Made the taco stuffed peppers for dinner tonight. My 17 y/o grandson said it was the best thing I have made. Didn't realize I was out of salsa so substituted Rotel for salsa and water. Thanks for yummy recipe.
Hey Mandy, love your channel. I have cooked several of your dishes 😋. October 2023 The taco stuffed peppers were excellent, instead of softening the peppers in the microwave, i blistered them on the grill ( you could do the same under the broiler). I also used red, yellow and orange peppers instead, because my husband doesn't care for the green ones. It gave this dish even more flavor❤ Thanks for helping with dinner menu's, my brain is tired of coming up with ideas 😂😂😂
Marvette's French onion chicken is probably my favorite all time recipe you've ever made!!! It is so tasty and so easy to make! Mandy, I have made countless recipes of yours. You have transformed my cooking ability! I LOVE YOUR RECIPES!!! Yes, please do more of these battle of the best videos! Love from Texas ❤
A commenter comment about the salsa, I am American Mexican, too and I have always made salsa just like Stephen. The only way to do it! And when tomatoes season is over. A good quality can of tomatoes will do, in a pinch. Great recipes, Mandy !
I love The Battle of The Best. Please do it again and again. My favorite was the taco stuffed peppers and Marvette's chicken recipe. One more thing. Your son is very handsome.
Hi Mandy and Steven ! I just want to say that I am a Mexican American born and raised in IL but I want to tell you that I make my salsa with all the same ingredients as Steven puts in but sometimes I leave it chunky an not put it in the blender. It is awesome !
Yes..would LOVE to have y'all do another Battle of the Best!! My favorites are the French Onion Chicken & the Taco Stuffed Bell Peppers. Got my mouth to watering on these meals. Thanks for sharing, Mandy!! Love Steven and his humor. Am glad to see him cooking with you!
Steven reminds me of cowboy Kent when he’s adding the olive oil. “ you just gotta add it until it FEELS right! Lol “That’s it, right there!” I love it! I bet his salsa is fantastic. I absolutely love salsa! I eat a jar every week. And could probably eat more but I gotta watch my figure! Lol Yes yes! Do the battle of the best again!!
Loved your channel For years. My older dad and I watch your videos together all the time and it’s encourages him to start cooking! Just made the pad Thai and it was delicious! I made almost an identical salsa to stevens except I roast the tomatoes onions and jalapeños in the oven first. It makes the flavor even deeper and amazing.
Steven measures things like I do 😅 that feels about right. I guess i need to pull the food processor out and give the salsa a try maybe Tuesday taco night.
I love all three of these recipes and have made them several times! When I made Marvette's Chicken last week, I followed the directions up to the addition of the French fried onions. When I took it out of the oven, I pulled the chicken from the bottom of the skillet, and placed it on top of the green beans. I added a half slice of Provolone cheese on top of each thigh before adding the French fried onions. We liked the addition of the cheese and it plated up nicely too. I may try Gruyere to give it more of that French Onion vibe (but definitely more expensive.) My husband said it was good enough to serve to company! Thank you for finding such great recipes to share each week! I look forward to your video every Friday 🙂
Yes, that would be fun to do another one. I'm making your chicken green bean casserole now. Although my chickens pre-cooked. Ended up having to change the way of cooking it in the oven. All the same ingredients though. Have a wonderful day.
Oh gosh these delicious dishes are so wonderful and I really need to make all of them. I am also half Japanese so I do cook a lot of asian dishes, and my number one favorite would be the Pad Thai, and then the second would be the stuffed bell peppers and the last one is Marvette's chicken. Thank you so much Mandy for some more incredible recipes and seeing how much Steven loves all of the food you cook is so wonderful. Have a beautiful and blessed rest of your day and the weekend coming up. Sending love and hugs, bye! 😋🤗 😻👏🥢🥢💜💜💜
Yes, I would love to see more of these repeats to see if they still are or if you changed something about the recipe. Thank you for sharing these three!
The dish of zucchini and corn is called calabacitas! I top mine with Jack cheese and melt it!! I am Hispanic so I love it when people love these dishes!
❤ I just absolutely love watching the two of you. Not only do I love the recipes but watching you and Steven together is such a beautiful, fun thing to watch!❤
I’m recovering from a serious car accident. I’ve been binge watching your videos so when I’m up and cooking again I have a list of what to make!! I’m also making a list of what to buy that you have recommended. It will be an amazing cooking marathon when I start. Thanks for all the awesome recipes!!!
I love my Kitchen Mama can opener. Did you know…?after you tap the button to turn it off, grip the opener from the middle to bottom and pull down, your lid will come off because of the magnet underneath. That way we don’t mess up our pretty manicures removing the lid. Looking forward to making Steven’s salsa. Gracie Lou is adorable and always needs her cheese!
Fun fact all peppers are coloured. If they are green it only means that they were picked before ripe and since they do not ripen off the vine they stay green this is for bell peppers and jalapenos for sure. So a red jalapeno just means it ripened on the plant does not effect the heat lever what so ever
This video was great! All of the meals look amazing. Stephen should cook more. I enjoy watching you guys so much. Definitely keep this type of series going!
I totally agree! What I love about Mandy's recipes is the fact that they are made with, for the most part, common and accessible ingredients. I am sure that she has a huge following of younger people that are newer cooks or just learning to cook. But, even for an old gal like me (71) I pick up a new idea every now and again.
I make a Pico Dr Gallo recipe.I use a can of rotel,a half a sweet onion,3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, half jalapeno pepper seeded and minced,1 tablespoon lime juice,1tsp garlic, pinch garlic powder, pinch cumin, salt and pepper to taste and mix all together. So good.😊
I LOVE that idea! Make it happen Mandy! There's a company out there that sends out a kit to put it together. However, u need to dedicate some charity money to a kitty charity or ASPCA. We love kitty Gracie, so she would be proud to help (include her pics in the pages!).
I’m sure she can’t since she doesn’t develop the recipes herself…she finds them. There are probably all of kinds of laws and royalties issues that would make it prohibitive.
The two of you's zest and passion for life, food, and each other shines through in every video and is a model for all couples🤗 That being said I have already added one of these recipes to my meal plan and planning to work the others in there too!
YASSSS!!!! Keep doing these! Pries me out of my rut of same old same old and reminds me of some different favorites I haven't had recently. I made your Baked Caesar Chicken the other night because it's a husband favorite. You also reminded me to make some salsa in my much older model Ninja blender. Hubs gets excited when I tell him Mandy food is for dinner. You haven't failed me yet. ❤
Awesome looking salsa. Never tried the olive oil, gonna give that a go. Y’all can freeze salsa also. Great to make your fresh summer ingredients last longer.
I love the way Stephen measured ingredients Lolol but that look so good. All 3 dishes look so good. Don’t know if I could pick a number 1. Thanks for sharing 🥰
My husband walked in right when all the ingredients for the salsa were in the blender looked up said “that’s about to be fire” and walked out. Came back later and was like I definitely need you to make that 😂
I would love to see more “battles of the best”! Watching you make the Pad Thai is about to make me go visit the ‘Lion and grab all the veggies! Thank you so much for sharing these! 😊 Poor Miss Gracie Lou- she’s telling tales about y’all again! 😂🌻
Mandy, I absolutely love your seasme chicken recipe. I make it all the time, in fact I cheat now and use boneless chicken wings and just put the sauce on top. As always, sending you guys much love from Wisconsin ❤
We have made Ms. Marvette's chicken and it was delicious. The taco stuffed peppers have been added to our list for this week's meals, they look so yummy and now that my hub has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, we look for low carb options. Tacos without the tortilla. Anyway, it looks great. Pad Thai looks good, but I would be the only one in my house to eat it lol, no adventure around here lol.
I have made marvette's chicken since you debuted it and last week i got my mom to make it. She loved it. I make my own salsa as well, but not wiht olive oil, ill have to try that one! We also dont use water with our taco meat or any filling, i use Salsa only as it gives more flavor. I have to tell you, i have 2 cats, Anna and Bella and the min they hear your voice on my computer, they come running until they see Gracie on the screen then try and nuzzle the screen, They love her as much as T and i do. Uf you add a can of beans into the zucchini and corn and you have succatash! I cant have zucchini cause im allergic but i make it for my kiddos. All 3 of the recipes are awesome, but my absolute favorite is the pad thai. I love flavor and that one packs a punch!

Yes I would love to see more like this.
I loved it. I love the stuffed peppers the best and the pad Thai last. Y’all are so cute I love watching y’all.
Really enjoyed your battle of the best. I would really enjoy more of these recipes. My favorite has to be the green bean & chicken casserole.
This was a fun video! I liked revisiting the recipes and watching Steven make his salsa-yum!
Mr Emroy love your singing and the choice of your songs,...May God Bless You!!!
Gracie Lou messaged me, since I'm the mom of 9 cats, and asked me to tell you that everything needs cheese but, if you disagree that's okay but you really should keep some cheese out every meal to give her. Yes!!! Just go to the frig and get her some cheese! She won't be around forever! (Mom of 8 cats here!)
😂
Im dieing over here laughing so hard. Yes miss Gracie needs her cheese please 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I watch Fallon's channel all the time and she is always making "Mandy's" green beans. Lol
This was a great idea! Would love to see more battle of the best videos!!
Just a bit of a tip...”moisten” the paper towel first for the microwave cover on dish. It stays on bowl. 🤩👍🏻👍🏻
I love The Battle of The Best. Please do it again and again. My favorite was the taco stuffed peppers and Marvette's chicken recipe.
One more thing.
Your son is very handsome.

Best pepper recipe I have seen in awhile. Adding to my grocery list!
You know that stuff is good when the happy food dance kicks in😂😂😂❤❤❤❤

My family and I have made that recipe for salsa (minus the sugar) for years, and there is amazing.

I don't know which is best - Mandy snorting at Steven or dancing with the salsa 😄😄
Yes, more battle of the bests. My favorite is the Taco Green Peppers.

All the meals sound delicious! I think I will definitely have to try the "common-tators" salsa. It sounds amazing! Thank you for sharing. 😊🌹🦅
I love your recipes and was wondering if you could combine your favorites into a cookbook. I would buy it!
I totally agree! What I love about Mandy's recipes is the fact that they are made with, for the most part, common and accessible ingredients. I for sure would buy it- I would preorder and wait impatiently for it !!!

Awesome looking salsa. Never tried the olive oil, gonna give that a go. Y’all can freeze salsa also. Great to make your fresh summer ingredients last longer.
Yes! Love the idea of 'Battle of the Best' and would suggest a monthly or quarterly 'Sides with Steven' feature. That salsa was just wonderful!
Nice!! Love this idea!
Oooh I like the "sides with steven" idea too!
Marvettes chicken is our families’ favorite recipe from your channel. We make it alll the time! Glad it made the list!!
I love the way Stephen measured ingredients Lolol but that look so good. All 3 dishes look so good. Don’t know if I could pick a number 1. Thanks for sharing 🥰
I'll have to try Steven's Salsa! I still always make the one you did with the canned of fire roasted tomatoes. It's been a fave!
I agree with Steven about the bell peppers. Duh it has salsa love salsa haven't tried Steven concoction yet but I will. Yes DO more of these videos.😁😋
My husband walked in right when all the ingredients for the salsa were in the blender looked up said “that’s about to be fire” and walked out. Came back later and was like I definitely need you to make that 😂
I think it's a great idea to have a battle of the dishes! As usual, I love your videos and look forward to them every week.
FYI - it’s easier to just use a spoon to scrape the seeds and membranes out of the jalapeños. Or, a small measuring spoon if you have metal ones.
I would love to see more “battles of the best”! Watching you make the Pad Thai is about to make me go visit the ‘Lion and grab all the veggies! Thank you so much for sharing these! 😊 Poor Miss Gracie Lou- she’s telling tales about y’all again! 😂🌻
I vote for another of this type of video "battle of the bests"
All look delicious. Must try. Blessings. 😊
Gracie Lou said, "Living in Thailand is hard for Cats, Yo!!" everything to this human looks delish thought!! Thank you!

Girl! I feel you! My husband is a meat and potatoes guy! LoL
That salsa looks incredible !!!! Pad Thai is also a feast for the eyes!
YES!! Please do the Battle of the Best!
I love little Gracie Lou. ❤❤❤ She needs some food mama.😂
Yes, really enjoyed the battle of the best.
Yes….more battle of the bests!!! You guys are just the best!!!!😊😊😊😊
Yes! More battle of the best!
Oh on the stuffed bell peppers try adding cooked rice or Spanish rice to the stuffing of taco meat yum!
