Mandy, I have the trick to no tears when cutting onions! I went to a cooking class and the teacher told us that you need to SLICE the onions not chop. So slide your knife back and forth rather than pushing down, when you push down thats what pushes all the liquids out! I havent cried since!

Mandy, for a quick and easy way to slice cherry tomatoes… get 2 lids(from takeout containers) and place several tomatoes on the lid, cover them with the other lid and run your knife between the lids. Voila!! I think Pampered Chef sells a contraption instead of using the lids. And it also works great for chicken breasts.

Yes, it is so hot in Texas, making mostly salads for dinner!
I love a good chicken salad, and this is a new way for me, so adding to my store list.
Favourite chips are sour cream and cheese.
Texture issues are chunky peanut butter and tapioca pudding. Yuck!
Finally, love seeing the thermometer, safety first! Another food safety tip is using disposable blue gloves. If they tear, you can see the blue in your food to pick out instead of finding the piece in a bite. Commercial kitchens use these. Thanks to you, Steven, Cole, and Gracie for another fun time!

Ok, this is so weird and random but when you said "check on the chicken" I was reminded of an old movie called When A Stranger Calls and it's about this girl that is babysitting and someone keeps calling her and saying "Have you checked on the children?" in a creepy voice. This was before Caller-ID, call-return and all that good stuff. It's a great, old, scary movie. On a brighter note, your dishes look delicious. It makes me wish my husband and son weren't so dadgum picky.

I can not eat a hot heavy meal when it's hot outside. I need cold food. Pasta salads, loaded garden salads, baloney and cheese sandwiches, tomato sandwiches, cold water or sweet tea or even unsweetened tea with lemon. I find the lemon to be refreshing in my tea on a hot day, and many times I leave the sugar out of my tea when it's hot outside. I can't even eat desserts when it's hot and muggy. I feel bogged down or something if I eat sweets and try to be out doors.

Loved 'Batter Chatter' but props to the lady who suggested 'Mandy in the Baking' - too cute. My one tip as a decent baker is to remember it is an exact science and the secret is to measure everything just as the recipe says. Things rising or baking completely are dependent on chemical reactions of the ingredients and if those ratios are off, things don't come out as planned. But truly, which of us hasn't had a batch of brownies that went a little haywire and still ate them? Ice cream and sundae toppings will hide a lot of flaws.

That's probably why it wouldn't stay folded over. Hey Miss Mandy!
I loved this video and all your recipes! I must say your husband is a doll and probably the kindest I’ve seen on RUclips! 🥰. Always so supportive of you!
I don’t like stems on my spinach either and I wanted to tell you, I’m a RN of 40+Years and I can touch ANYTHING if I’m wearing gloves!! So, you go girl! You can make all kinds of meat dishes now! Thank you for sharing and the first recipe I’m making is that chicken salad!! My mouth was actually watering! 😂❤
Bless you and your sweet family and I hope you have a happy weekend! 🥰

My husband has been making these meatballs for several months and they are literally our FAVORITE meal!! We do wild rice instead of orzo and make garlic sautéed kale to go with. It is SO. GOOD.

❤we are Mediterranean eaters, and these are awesome!
I made the Tzatziki Chicken Salad for dinner tonight with a side salad and tabouli.
    Absolutely delicious!
Thank you! Hope you find more Mediterranean inspired recipes for future dinners.
