- In this video we're listening to The Allman Brothers Band. Of course, we've heard a few of their songs, but we realized we don't know quite as much as we thought. They are really talented, and we're excited to hear something more from them. Enjoy!

Duane Allman on the first solo and Dickey Betts on the second. If you’ve never heard “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed,” I recommend checking it out. Instrumental written by Betts, who also wrote and sang “Blue Sky.”
This could be possibly the last recorded solo by Duane Allman before his untimely passing, not sure of the timeline, my very first song heard by the original band. Started a lifelong love affair!
I love this song. So relaxing.
They are Southern Rock - it is country
Youll enjoy JESSICA by the ALLMAN BROTHERS, great guitaring
We really love listening to 'Jessica'. It's brilliant!
You should do Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Based on your comments, your are going to love the Fillmore East version of In Memory of E Reed!
Nice to meet you crazy kids 😁 I love this tune .
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you reacted to this Allman Brothers song. I believe Dicky Bett’s (he wrote and sang the song and played the second guitar solo) girlfriend at the time was the inspiration for the lyrics. The greatest guitarist IMHO, Duane Allman, played the first guitar solo. I highly recommend their song Elizabeth Reed from their live at Fillmore East album next. Make sure you react to this version of the song. It’s an instrumental.
Nice reaction. Suggest “Revival “ from “Idlewild South”, which is the opening song. High energy from the Allman’s. Thanks for the reaction.
Betts at his melodic best
Hokey? No way.
It was pretty much a country song with an amazing guitar solo. Sorry. Amazing guitar solos! We loved it.
If you like twin lead guitars then check out The King Will Come by Wishbone Ash from their album called Argus
Cant wait for my request
Just an up lifting/feel good song. Sorry you think it's hokey.
This isn't too bad a track, I usually don't listen to much by them.
"isn't too bad a track"...it's a little bit better than that dude!!
@@31wst83 They are on the whole a bit light for me but the live stuff I've heard is manageable.
Cynthia is absolutely right about the shit kicking parts
Hokie really
