  • From the multi award-winning producers of ‘McQueen’ and ‘Churchill’ comes Audrey, an intimate look at Audrey's life, with access to exclusive never-before-seen footage from her family's personal collection. Providing an unprecedented and insightful view on Audrey, her life and her dreams, aspirations and her everlasting legacy.
Audrey Hepburn won her first Academy Award at the age of 24, and went on to become one of the world’s greatest cultural icons: a once-in-a-generation beauty, and legendary star of Hollywood’s Golden Age, whose style and pioneering collaboration with Hubert de Givenchy continues to inspire. But who was the real Audrey Hepburn?
Malnourished as a child, abandoned by her father, and growing up under Nazi occupation in Holland, Hepburn faced a life-long battle with the traumas of her past, which thwarted her dreams of becoming a ballet dancer, and cast a shadow over her personal life. Yet she found inner peace, using her superstardom for good as a global ambassador for UNICEF, and bringing her life full circle: first a victim of war, then a source of relief to millions.
A hybrid of rare archive, cinematic dance sequences, and intimate interviews with those who knew her best, this film brings a truly extraordinary woman to life, who stands as testament to the power of love and forgiveness.
    The documentary feature contributions from:
    Sean Hepburn-Ferrer (Audrey’s son)
    Emma Ferrer (Audrey’s granddaughter)
    Richard Dreyfuss (co-star)
Clare Waight Keller (former artistic director, Givenchy)
John Loring (design director emeritus of Tiffany & Co)
Audrey is available to rent and own on digital from November 30th in the UK, December 15th in the US and December 16th in Australia. Other international markets from February 8th 2021.

"Malnourished as a child, abandoned by her father, and growing up under Nazi occupation in Holland, Hepburn faced a life-long battle with the traumas of her past, which thwarted her dreams of becoming a ballet dancer, and cast a shadow over her personal life. Yet she found inner peace, using her superstardom for good as a global ambassador for UNICEF, and bringing her life full circle: first a victim of war, then a source of relief to millions."
[ I'm gonna paraphrase here:] She did all this, spoke at least 4 languages, worked as a ballet dancer to help secretly fund the Dutch resistance movement's activities against the Nazis;..... in her later years she worked to alleviate starvation in African countries, and devoted herself to world peace...although being often voted as "...one of the most beautiful women of all time",
it seems this was more important (to the press) than her less-glamorized efforts and achievements, and as the meme says :"She's remembered as being 'pretty'.
Sadly, the world doesn't seem to produce these sorts of WOMEN anymore. Just a bunch of pink- and blue-haired shriekers, demanding to be given the kind of respect that a SERIOUS achiever like Ms. Hepburn actually EARNED, but yet never even gave a thought to.
RIP MS. Hepburn. Your life will never be forgotten.

I'd say, a life well lived.

She smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day, which led to her dying way too young. She was one hell of an actress.

Everyone smoked like that back then. It's pretty sad how misinformed people were about the associated health risks. The same way cigarettes are demonized now and not perceived as cool or trendy, I kind of wonder if the same thing will happen to alcohol eventually. The health impact of drinking regularly is pretty toxic to almost every part of the body, including the brain, yet it's still something we all do.

@@johnulcer We tried prohibition and it failed, big time. The U.S. government is losing the war against pot, and that war is in it's last day. And then there's caffeine, and it's partner-meth.
People feel the need to alter their view of reality. Whether it's from having their heart leap out of their chest (meth-caffeine), have the room spin (alcohol) or have their brain spin (pot) people need their fix. Sad commentary on life.
The harshest drug I take is aspirin. I've been drunk 6 times in my life and only one of those was planned. My last drink was in 1992. I took a no doz tablet once because I was working three jobs at once (that will never happen again) and I've never smoked pot. I prefer for my head to be clear.
My parents smoked and I'm paying the price for that (my bronchial tubes were irrepairably damaged). My dad dropped dead (literally) at age 61 from cigarettes and weight. My mother only gave up cigarettes after her 3rd heart attack (as if the first two weren't a warning sign).
No. Addicts won't stop until they reach their rock bottom-whatever that is for them.
