Eyeless dogs have been the bane of my Lethal Company existence for so long. Now that I know what to do... It changes nothing about how I approach them.
Out of all the monster guides I was existed for this one the most. The Eyeless dog is and always will be my favorite lethal company monster. This guide honestly exceeded my expectations my expectations. Great work.
4:30 and 5:00 clears up a LOT of confusion i had about eyeless dogs. It really sucks their suspicion doesn't decrease while sliding because i cannot count how many times an eyeless dog has been sliding indefinitely, never getting out of aggro. It's really frustrating, but atleast i understand the reason for it now.

I've seen way too many dogs go into some bugged out infinite bulldozer slide to even attempt any matador heroics. In my experience they'll just pull some near-180 turn while still sliding and just eat me for even daring to try to bait it. I've seen one slide uphill, turn a corner while sliding, and eat a teammate.
Eyeless Dogs are super annoying on some Moons, that they are present on. Also using our Voice chat to hear us out, to hunt us down and kill us, which i love this in games. (Once again thanks for breaking down The AI Behind of each entities of this game brother, keep it up.)
honestly thank you so much for making these videos, theyre super helpful and definitely help with my own paranoia and anxiety about this game (its typically to the point i cant play sadly). these explanations and breakdowns of the monsters ai let me play the game without having to take a break for 30 minutes just to calm myself down
eyeless dogs used to be my favorite lc enemy until i was in a horror movie scenario where i had to watch my friend die while i was hiding because their mic picked up them coughing in the bg while the dog was inside the ship.

It's probably not a high priority but I'm eager to see the Hygrodere video, I always just sort of avoid it but looking at it in the wiki, its behavior seems fairly unique!
They should add like a chewing toy that where You can you can squeak it and then you can throw it so they go chase after it and then once they get it it distracts them for a couple seconds
Kinda surprised to see the ship door strat not mentioned here (you can close the ship door + bonk them through the door to kill them, if you have enough time).
I personally don’t understand this stance and how many people are behind it, ive only ever died to an eyeless dog once, and it was because I had to run to catch the ship before midnight
For me it's the Forest keeper. Alone it's easy to avoid but with multiples ennemies.. avoiding his sight while being chased or something like that is really hard
I think it’s interesting how they’re easy to counter in theory by just being quiet. But in practice, pretty much everything you do makes noise, so they can be tricky to avoid at times.
Two more techs/strats you didn't point out: 1. You can hit the Eyeless Dog through the ship door. Just keep them lured to the door by speaking and smack them with a shovel with the door shut. This is a bit safer than fighting them outside too. 2. Jumping doesn't set off the Eyeless Dogs. If you can jump right as you start sprinting and keep jumping right as you hit the ground, you can gain a bunch of distance on them and it won't increase their suspicion meter.
Hey bud, this vid saved my run at 2k quota tonight. I saw it for the first time earlier this evening then played with my buds. Two guys left, we're both on the ship planning to get more scrap. A dog entered the ship and had us both pinned, charged right at my buddy and killed him. I suddenly remembered the video explaining that dogs can't damage players while doing the whole chew toy thing on a fresh kill. So I ran through it while it was mincing my buddy and was able to lure it out of the ship to get killed by an Old Bird. The way the ship was set up, that was the only way I would have been able to escape. Good shit!!!

One thing I am still curious about is how frequently the eyeless dog detects one continuous sound. The shop's drop pod jingle for example. Evidently, it does get picked up multiple times so unless the code has the music fragmented into small, second long chunks there would have to be a cooldown between detections otherwise the eyeless dog would have its suspicion meter skyrocket and become permanently aggro'd in just a second. If a cooldown exists within the eyeless dog's AI, how long is it? If it's the sounds themselves that are fragmented in the code, how long are these fragments and is there any uniformity to them? Also, just for the funnies: What single noise source can rapid fire its suspicion level up the fastest, insta-aggro not included?
Cooldown for suspicion meter growing is about a second. Fun fact: if the dog hears the same noise 15 times in a row, it will no longer hear the noise. This means the dogs suspicion meter will end up somewhere around 15-25 when it hears a dropship.

one thing i want to know is...if i have my walkie talkie turned "on" and I'm NOT speaking into it, but my other friends are speaking into it and im near a dog. will the dog agro on me?
Not sure if its been patched, but you can make them mad and then hit them from inside the ship through the door when its closed. Just make sure to hide behind something if you dont kill it before the door opens 😅.
can you explain why they infinitely slide in place sometimes? it kills runs sometimes and its really annoying that it hasnt been fixed after 5+ updates and i want to know if i can prevent it or make them stop.
Apparently it's because a dog's suspicion doesn't drain while sliding. The only way I could think of to stop it is to make noise to bait them away and then dodge.

I was going to ask why indoor enemy, but it makes sense that your dad would never go outside.

Whenever I see the eyeless dogs, I always sneak backwards and say "Bark bark bark!" on my mic to lure them away from the ship or others
