    What I discovered in my area the big difference between Uber Eats and DoorDash is definitely the frequency and pay per order. DoorDash orders are much more consistent, however tend to pay less per mile. On the other hand, UberEats orders can roll in slower, but will often pay much better than DoorDash orders. I discovered the difference was in the bonuses for UE. My area has an UE boost zone that is consistently at least 3x base pay during dinner shifts, up to 4x on the weekends. This makes nearly every single order in the boost zone at least 12$, as the base pay alone often ends up being 6-10$ in base pay alone. When I first tried UE, I didn't quite yet have access to the promotional opportunities, and once I unlocked them I noticed a large increase in pay amount. Now, I will be online with both apps at the same time and take DD orders while I dont have any UE orders, and then whenever a solid UE order pops up I will take it. Been making 35$ an hour in a relatively small sized city/suburbs.

      So you have to stay around the area where you live? I live in a small town.

    Another way to take a photo after delivery is to take a photo of the address, or Door number. Never had a diss.

    I included Uber Eats with being a driver. I used Uber Eats all over Houston and outlying towns and didn't get any hits. Will be trying Door Dash myself !

    UE is definitely my favorite between the big 3 (DD, UE, GH). UE's time estimates are just so much more accurate so I know what I'm getting into. $10 for 3 miles sounds great, but will it take 10 minutes or an hour?

    I am thinking of trying a UE as a side job but concerned about the gas prices. Do you find your still making decent money with the higher prices. I am in PA and gas is about $3.75/gal. Its just awful!!

      Hi Sandra - I haven't been out in a few months due to back surgery but I'm hoping to be on the road again soon. Good luck out there.

      @@mitchabrams4082 Hope you recover well. I am terrified of having back surgery, mine would be on lower back discs that got messed up playing baseball in college. Everyone that has had my surgery said they came out for the worse and maybe 1 or 2 said it helped. I have severe back pain now, but the ones that came out worse after surgery use a cane now. At 33 I just do not know what to do. Hopefully your back surgery came out ok.

      @@SPG8989 Hey Mason - mine was lower back as well. Fusion of L4 and L5. Tough recovery to say the least but I'm glad I did it. The pain is pretty much gone and I have full mobility. It would have only degenerated and gotten worse if I didn't have the surgery and I wasn't about to let that happen. Good luck.

    When you first start you don’t have your DoorDash cards to pay for stuff, how do you get the order and pay for it?

    • @mitchabrams4082
      @mitchabrams4082  Год назад

      Hi Laura - you don't pay for anything. The customer pays on the app. You just go into the restaurant and pick up the food. If you're going to a store, you need the card most of the time.

      UE app GPS is terrible!! Also they're claiming to reveal address first which is useless unless you know every street corners in your area. Not helpful at all!!

      I use Apple Maps for Doordash and I love it. It tells you where to turn like “not at this light but at the next light”. Same for stop signs. It also tells you what side of street the house is on.
      Can’t use for Lyft so I use Waze/Google Maps and don’t like them as much.

    I'll never use UE again. Garbage! All the tips were minimum 2 dollars or no tip at all. One of them had me drive 6 miles to deliver and order for 2 dollars. I drove for half the day and only made 54 dollars. I ended up in the hole if you factor in time and gas. I basically paid Uber Eats to work for them. To HELL with that! Never again!

      Yep, these 'gig' apps are just taking advantage of desperate people. Any hourly job, even McDonalds will pay better and you don't take big risks that might or might not pay off. If you are in big urban area where you can use an ebike, it might make sense. For anywhere else, fuggaboutit
