You have two more cup holders on the back seat in the middle with the little ribbon
Mitch pull down your back seat arm rest. You most likely have an extra 2 cup holders in the backseat arm rest that you can use.
Hey Mitch, for your drinks you can go on Amazon and search Rubbermaid deluxe carry caddy for cleaning products.., scroll about three items down and you will see Amazon's choice, $9.22, a black caddy that will hold eight large drinks. You can velcro to your passenger floorboard or box it in with various items on your floorboard. (I box mine in with stuff so it doesn't move) I also ordered on Amazon cardboard drink holders four count, in case the restaurants are out. The caddy comes in very handy for all different size drinks, as well as small bags.
yep i ordered one yesterday and it came today. before it arrived tho i had a big order from tropical smoothie going up and down hills. nerve wrecking
Excellent! I’m checking that out tonight! Thanks.
Yes to the cleaner caddy off of Amazon... I've had one for number of months. Or accumulate a bunch of collapsible generic cardboard caddies. Amen to Uber Eats and starbucks! Breakfast time do suck on DD. TAKE A PIC and text again when the customer won't answer and you are told to leave it at the door!! I was deactivated for 7 weeks for crap such as this... Glad you're talking time vs income! Sweet!!
Thanks!
Great ideas
I bought the drink caddy on Amazon and keep a couple cans of corn for empty holes. Best support ever.
Great idea!
I love Sunday morning dashing. We have a few restaurants that specialize in hearty breakfast here in Albuquerque, and three of them are located in close proximity to one another. The best part about Sunday morning is NO traffic 😊
Definitely right about the no traffic!
You look old enough that you might remember the days when cars didn't come with built in cup holders and you could buy those plastic ones that hang in your window. You could find them at almost every gas station.
New to your channel and had my first Uber delivery today. A Lil nerve wracking for an old lady to figure out the app, but the people all were super sweet and patient.
I'm a new dasher trying to make some extra cash to pay my house off so I can retire from my full time job! Glad I met you
Excellent! Thanks for the help!
Good video and I enjoyed your channel. Retired lady dashing in Rancho Cucamonga, CA (SoCal), Top Dasher 9 months now full time.
Thanks and welcome to the channel!
Just subscribed. I’ll be watching man! Keep grinding.
Welcome and thanks!
Street jusus of doordash. Let's gooo! I had to Kobe Bryant slot today lol
I’m on my 4th week ( full time ).
I appreciate all the tips I get from everyone. Mitch we’re in this together I guess brother, will just have to watch Pedro Door Dash all the time and learn as much as possible
@@tonydee4863 Welcome to the channel and stay safe out there.
I went to Sonic and asked them for a 4 cup cup holder when I bought a drink. They were very nice about it and gave one to me! Just a thought for anyone.
If you pull the middle part down in the back seat it may have 2 cup holders. My car does
Thanks for sharing your experiences Mitch. Love Roy Rogers & Ribs! It's Rhoney's now here in Milford, OH. Enjoying your commentary. Have you gone through a tax season yet? I just started DoorDash, and have been recording mileage, and know that I need to hold back at least 20-30% for taxes for the end of the year.
Cup holders are probably in that fold down center console in the backseat.
4 cups in the tray , double tray is better, but then bagged and tied works for me
Michaels craft store has a 6 cup holder carrier. Its amazing.
I got a cheap insulated bag at WM that would hold an 8 pack, for example. I put 4 cold cans in there to pack in a couple of drinks. Works fine.
Great honestly I also thank the 20/hr is a great goal. I like what you said about the value of hanging out at home with the wife vs 36 dollars. Totally agree. Thank you for sharing!
I actually did really good on Sunday but it was from 11-4. My spot is by a church, a mall and hotels. I made 100 . I've learned to always look at the map as far as distance, and not trust the miles they say., I saw the miles were low, I took the order then it doubled the miles like they switched it on me.
I spend about 20 per day on gas. My first big pay day is next week as I've only been doing this for two days. Wed, Thursday, Friday Saturday, Sunday are my days. 800 a week is my goal.
I enjoy your videos.
I paused the video to ask my last question, Then resumed the video, and you literally answered my question. Wow you are fast. Guess I'll keep my mouth shut until the video is over.
dont forget about the cup holders in the pull down arm rest in the back seat!! Good VID!!
Right, thanks!
Kind of surprised with Starbucks. Over here the come in bags that have holders. Pretty convenient.
Yeah, sometimes they have drink caddies/bags. I’ve got them when they were out!
I have a caddy from the hobby store. It's a six pack. It's alot deeper than muffin tins. Cost me $4. It also fits perfectly in the insolated bag. I have several bags. This way also keeps the drinks the correct temperature.
I’m going check that out. Thanks.
I watched your videos and they looked so promising to make some really good money on as a side hustle. Which DoorDash did for the first couple weeks....but all of a sudden I haven't received a single order in a whole week. All of my ratings are above 90 and I still see many dashers in local restaurants. Weird.
Hey Mitch , great videos. I notice the Roy Rogers drink carriers. They look good. I think I’d suggest going there to get drink carriers every few days . I image they would give them to you for free if you explain you are DD/UE. the may beat the laundry basket/muffin tin idea
Unfortunately I cannot wait around till an $11+ order to come in here, we have to take lots of $5-$6 orders in between!
One of the Dashers who picks up our office's coffee orders a lot keeps a plastic bin and a towel on the floor on the passenger side. If he gets an order with just one drink carrier, he puts it in the bin and keeps the bundled-up towel off to the side to keep it from moving. If he has two drink carriers (like we ordered today--7 drinks), he tosses the towel on the passenger seat and puts the carriers side by side in a bin. It keeps the carriers from moving around too much and makes it easy to clean up any leaks.
That’s a good idea.
New here keep grinding I will do doordash again this summer when I get back to California. Good luck.
Welcome and thanks!
Suggestion on the drinks. Get a couple milk crates. Put drink holder at the bottom put your four drinks in the holder in side the crate. Use a towel to fill in the spaces to stabilize the drinks. You should be able to put that on the floor and be stable.
Good idea!
Get janitors caddy for drinks.
That's a great idea..I've lost my fair share of drinks lol
I enjoyed and subscribed! Keep up the good work
Solid video!
Thanks!
I have a small box that is on the passenger side floor. With beverage holders from the store it helps with tipping and sliding. It's beyond me why someone would order a frozen smoothie for a 30 minute delivery?
When you deliver the order. Do you knock on the door? And what if noone answers? Do you ever leave the order on the ground?
First time watching .I am in Santee Ca getting ready to start with Doordash end of June.
Welcome to the channel and have fun when you hit the road!
Pulled down your center seat in back seat, you might have two extra cup holders, depends.
17 miles for $8 bucks. Lol.
I doordash in Michigan in the Pontiac area and I get those kind of orders all day long! Especially the last week! Something changed and not for the better! Today I had a 12.7 mile for $4.25. Another one was 17.3 for $8.75. $3 orders all day long. But there is money to be made if you stick with it!
That’s the key - sticking with it!
What kind of car do you drive?
Awesome content :) just subscribed !
Welcome to the channel!
Thumbs up!
Thanks!
Milk crate home Depot.Shim back level. Most orders fit perfectly.
Thanks Mike, good idea!
Is navigating two apps at one time confusing or hard?
Hi Kahnica. It takes a little bit to get used to but after a couple of orders it’s easy.
Mitch, may I ask you a question. You says your first order was $5 for 6.5 miles and you decline by saying it's not forth it. What if that client give you $10 or 15 tips. You still won't do it?
Irina - That's a great question. It's been my experience that the customers rarely increase the tips on DoorDash beyond what is shown in the initial offering. It does happen, but so far for me, very infrequently. That being said, I can only go by what is shown as the initial offer on the app. Thanks for the question!
@@mitchabrams4082 you are welcome and thank you for reply and all your videos. It's very helpful.
The rule is $4 dollars a mile now. Gas is so expensive now.
Isn’t it better to accept even a small order than sit there with no orders? Some money is better than no money. Also depends on the car your driving. Clearly some are far less expensive to drive around than others. If you were going to do this as your main job you want to get a car that gets very good gas mileage and very reliable, like a used Prius.
David - so many variables and is going to be different for each drivers situation. I've come to find that the small orders just aren't worth it. I'm not going to potentially miss out on a good offer to accept one for $5. With the mileage to the restaurant, to the customer then back to an area where I'll get more orders it's not worth it. I've mentioned in a number of videos that each driver should make their own earning plan and take the orders that work for their plan. Thanks for the comments David, be safe out there.
@@mitchabrams4082 I do understand that reasoning however if Dashers keep turning down order after order, it hurts the overall business. Customers will get frustrated and either go to a different company or not use a delivery service at all. Which ultimately is going to hurt drivers income as business decreases.
I have a lot of clients in my regular job that tip poorly or are hard to deal with. Yet I very rarely turn any client down. Because I also know that doing that is going to hurt my overall business. It hurts the business ratings and people will go elsewhere. Anyways just a thought.
I avoid tim hortons, Dunkin donuts all them coffee joints like the plaque in the morning more likely to take a walmart order 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m with you.
Can you give a loose estimate on how many deliveries you need to do to make a living in your market?
That's a tough one as there are so many variables. Based on the current slowdown in the area I work i would need A LOT of deliveries per month to cover all of my expenses. It's not there right now but I'm hopeful that business will pick up over the summer.
what do you put for reason when you decline?
Either too small or too far - which are really the only two reasons I decline orders.
Well declining orders until u get the great ones is how your business is declining... Don't be so picky
Is there any way you can turn up your volume when you make these videos?
Love the content but you are extremely difficult to hear.
Super annoying!!!
I really want to share with everyone that i did my first few dashes and then I didn't recieve my earnings bcz my bank info they had was updated incorrectly. When i went in the app again and tried to update my info and what i get is that the bank info is invalid . I have also tried to contact customer support for sooo many times but they keep on sending me emails on how to update my bank info. Ive told them for the thousands of times that its not updating... any suggestions for me bcz doordash owes me $42 ...plzz tell me what to do
for lots of drinks I use (search Amazon for) Rubbermaid Deluxe Carry Caddy for Cleaning Products, Spray Bottles, Sports/Water Bottles, and Postmates/Uber Eats Drivers, Black (FG315488BLA) It fits into this cooler (search Amazon-IT'S THE 40 CAN) Hap Tim Soft Cooler Bag Lunch Bag 24/40 Can Waterproof Large Grocery Bags Soft Sided Collapsible Travel Cooler for Camping Hiking Beach Picnic BBQ Party. If I have empty spaces I fill them with puffy cardboard drink carriers or boxes. I may glue foam inside, but so far so good. I can add ice packs for summertime ice cream, shakes, etc.
For smaller orders I use a plastic drawer with a restaurant holder and a box to make it stay in place for sudden stops :) and I just added rubber non-skid mat under drawer. Had a spill prior to these additions and the fruit punch did not touch my car!
Great solutions!
