Also, one thing I’ve learned, always expect the unexpected. I delivered to a well known “not so great, low income area”. I accepted the order for $8.25.. turned out to be $19.50 with a $16 tip.. I find it pretty ironic that I get $2 tips from upper scale neighborhoods, yet better tips from worse areas that don’t look the greatest… great video!

If I may ask, why did you start doing Door Dash? Did you also consider doing ride share driving for Uber or Lyft?
Hey David - The primary reason for me was safety, I can't get sick with food in my car but I can with people.
@@mitchabrams4082 yes I can understand that. Also there’s a safety issue. Always having to ride around with people in your car could be uncomfortable and you’d also have to keep you car cleaner. Not too long ago ago I took an Uber and the driver said he made more money with UberEats than with normal Uber driving. I’m still investigating, thanks!

Hi Mitch, can you share how too look up the distance of the order you declined due to you said would bring you into the country. Are you looking on Google, or another app?

Great video. Just found your channel. Looking to try door dashing as a side gig for a bit. In Virginia too! Q 1 - Do you toggle back and forth between dasher app and waze/google, or does dasher app have reliable navigation? Q2 - Do you have to check order is correct at pick up or that is restaurant's responsibility? TIA for your replies.
Mitch, when delivering multiple stacked orders, how do you keep from mixing up the orders and delivering items to the wrong customer?
Hey Bruce. Couple of things I do/look for. 1. The orders usually have the receipt with the customers name stapled to the outside of the bag. That's key. 2. I keep one order on the floor of the passenger seat, the other on the seat. If I can get them both in the hot bag thats great but can't always do that. I've found that it's best for me to double check every time i get out of the car that i have the correct order. That's the safest way, take it slow and it usually works out!
