Grapes growing on vines, in their own place is called a vineyard. What a relaxing rainy day that you’re having. In a pretty area, too. How enjoyable seeing things through your eyes.
Me too. I love those rain videos you make. I wish that coffee rain video you made could be extended to 10 hrs because it's nice glancing over while doing work and someone's brewing up a good cup, sheltered from the rain. Great video!!

Hi Scott Have you been to the Barlow in Sebastopol ? if you like , just walk down the street in front of the Wholefoods , keep walking or driving past the Movie Theater and walls ! You’re in the Barlow with shops , coffee and food . Recommend parking in the Community Market parking lot on the end on Rt side . Grace from Santa Rosa Enjoy !
Hi Scott, my sister lives in Monte Rio the next little town down from Guerneville, so I know the town pretty well. It's a strange mix of wealthy ,second home owners, who come up for the weekends, regular folk and ne'er-do-well drug addicted types, known as river people. That was probably a crazy homeless guy yelling at you. If you cross the large bridge over the Russian river before you get to Jenner, it will take you to beach access of that beach you were looking at and many other beautiful spots !! I'm glad you're enjoying the area !! Thanks for the great videos .
If I remember correctly, probably not, that big rock 21:23 is called Goat Rock. Also, Armstrong Woods, in Guerneville, is one of the best walks through Redwoods.
Ha ha, hey Scott I truly enjoy you and the videos you share with us. But from now on I'm going to have something healthy and yummy to eat and a good cup of coffee to drink while enjoying your content. Again you describing and enjoying these items causes me to want to partake. Thank you Scott again for the positive vibes and views and videos you share with us. 👍
I've been watching your videos on and off for a while now, and I have no idea why--the lifestyle doesn't appeal to me, at all, but they do fascinate me. I always try to say at least a Hail Mary for you. God bless.
Gorgeous drive to the beach! What a charming and beautiful area. Been too long since I’ve been up there. And yummy looking cinnamon roll from that coffee place. Thanks for sharing!
Sonoma County Regional Parks has a yearly pass for approximately $50. It covers the parking fee for many of the parks like Doran Beach and Spring Lake Regional Park. Worth it if you make multiple trips to the parks. You're in my favorite stomping grounds, beautiful drives.
Hi there scott I'm glad to see you treated yourself with lunch outside of the van. Also, video's when it's raining are my favorite glad you found someplace with less traffic to rest at night
The Sonoma County Regional Parks pass is $69 a year. It does come with some membership perks that make it worth it if you are going to spend time in the area. All my family and friends use it regularly
It’s fun to collect library cards from different towns and librarians are cool about it if you say you are in town for a few weeks. I use them to Ck out audio books. Listen on my phone.
It’s always a pleasure seeing you and going to places in California. I’ve only been in California once so your travels are so informative and interesting to me. All the best from the Pyrenees mountains Spain. 👍🤗🥰
Scott's this laid back, easy going kind of guy. I just discovered his channel and really enjoying it. Sobre todo este zona de California, es otro mundo para mí. Saludos de Cantabria.
Peaceful rain, simplicity, beautiful scenery, all that is possible in the modern age and Scott shares it with us! Grateful as always you are safe and sound 🙏
Scott have you heard of Anderson Valley? I believe it’s in Sonoma County but I am not 100 percent sure 🤔. I always seem to come upon it when I’m not looking for it. But if I look 👀 for it I can’t find it. I am always happy driving through the valley. It’s so beautiful and the vistas of the valley are just so calming. 😊 The place is a bit like Brigadoon, a mythical place that appears out of nowhere and when you leave you don’t know how you got there or if you’ll ever find it again.😮 There’s no real town just a corner gas station with a tiny market and perhaps a coffee spot that you can sit outside for. But the “coffee spot” also could be in my dreams from this mythical place. lol. And maybe just maybe it’s a little happy place I only dream about. 😀😊
Grey seascapes are amazing! Thank you for sharing the scene, and your enjoyment of it -- making me smile. Damn, I did not know you had a second channel. Glad you mentioned it, I will check it out.
I currently live in the city of Sonoma and adore the scenery here. I love the drive to the coast as it is quite magical. All of the parks in Sonoma County require the fee. As a resident, I can buy an annual pass for $49 as a senior. One of my favorite things about Sonoma County is the plethora of wonderful little quaint towns. Duncan Mills being one of them. Another one is Occidental. You are here at a great time because we've had so much rain, it's so green and gorgeous. For years during the drought, we were depressingly brown. I always feel invigorated when I go to the coast. Never gets old.
Yes, Occidental is another great (very small) in the middle of the forest towards the coast. They don’t have a cafe ☕️, they really should. In fact I declare all of these small towns should have a cafe. ☕️ It’s a nice walk around town and free parking. If you go further down the road you’ll come into a nice little town called Monte Rio that’s on the river where you can sit on the beach in the woods.
Excellent video once again! I'm watching it for the second time with my second cup of coffee. Unfortunately, I had to break up the first viewing into portions which always kind of disturbs the vibe. I especially like the closing sequence.
oh man, I thought that cinnamon roll was one of those sourdough chowder bowls because its so big. I was saying to myself "thats an odd way to eat it". haha
i dont know anyone who likes the rainy weather like you Scott....you seems to be really done with hot and sunny desert-weather lol...keep it up! greetings from europe
Fun little adventure today. The beach is always relaxing and a good escape. Some of the wineries are so beautiful. We don't drink at all, but we visited a vineyard with a little castle. It was so fun. As usual, now I am craving a good cup of coffee. We are going down your way in a few days. Might have to find a bag of good light roast coffee. 😊
The tiny homes in Guerneville are Summer rentals for Johnson's Beach resort. The moved them up out of the flood zone. Also if you go back to Jenner, a couple of miles up Hwy 1 is Jenner Headlands Preserve. Great hiking and the parking is free. It's run by a non-profit, the Wildlands Conservancy.
I love the rain, too. I'm sitting in my van, drnking great coffee, eating Ranch Corn Nuts (my latest addiction) and watching a nice, steady rain. Preparing to go thrifting. Its early a.m. - life is good. Love your channel. 3rd time I've watched this video...
There’s a nice trail as you hoped for just slightly south of San Francisco but still considered the city. I hope it isn’t too weird there. I have great memories walking there with one of my grown sons a couple of years ago.
Yum. Marin county in the seventies was the first place I ever had a sandwich with sprouts and the cheese from Sonoma, sourdough from the area. I grew up on Southern California avocados. 🥑 I feel fortunate to have had such fun food.
Looks like the hair has already grown a 16th of an inch since the cut, but hey...still plenty of hat days ahead😂 Duncan is beautiful. Love the drive and the good food!
Beautiful rainy day on the coast . The ocean and nature in general always makes me happy . The vibe your feeling about Guerniville is right , been there and wouldn’t stay there .Glad to hear counter culture decaf is good . I have some in my cupboard now that I haven’t opened yet .
I agree Guernville does have sort of a wary vibe (to me) to it IF you are staying there for longer than a couple of hours. I believe those “Tiny Homes” might be part of those Tiny Homes businesses that go to special events, such as a Farmer’s Market or camping show to try and sell them to the public.
it's soo beautiful in the foggy rainy coast. If I remember correctly, those wool shoes dried out pretty quickly that day when they were new. .. Can't remember if you put them in front of the heater ... glad you found that decalf ... 😺💜

I love Duncan Mills and Guerneville (love that entire area, actually)! I live in the Bay Area (Contra Costa County) and like to spend a couple weekends a year in the Russian River area. Wish I could afford to live there. As always, great video!
I haven't been there in quite some time. My ex brother in law lives in Jenner😊love the vineyards there.lots of celebs live there. That building looked like a train station.
Great video. I'm enjoying your video and happiness!! The ocean looks nice ,and chilly. Now I've tried light coffee, and even decaf. I'm so surprised how much I do like it. Have fun in the rain.
Hi Scott, I just discovered your channel a few days ago and have watched several of your videos. I live in Marin County, so most of your adventures have been sort of in my “backyard.“ Just wanted to say hello and that I really enjoy as you take us through your days. ❤
I honeymooned in Napa valley when I had a 6 month marriage! LOL. I'm not good at marriage, especially when it's to Satan. I can laugh about it now. But the trip was great! Love your videos....
Wonderful memories! Jenner by the Sea! One of the finest kayaking destinations along coastal California that my hubby and I have visited and enjoyed over the years for decades. Loved your shots from afar of harbor seals, sea lions, and the spot where the Russian River actually empties into the sea at Jenner.
Woke up at 3 am and could not immediatly falls again. This video is exactly what I needed. Relaxed narration and rain sounds are just perfect.
Yup! Watching again at 3:30 am… couldn’t sleep. This helps! 🙂
You appear to be really enjoying yourself today, Scott. Love the adventures of Static CamperVan travels. Thank you.
I’m always happiest on a rainy day at the coast
Go west young man! Go west!❤You seem happy and upbeat! 😇🕊🙏🏻 Thanks Scott!
Ima not a envious person but if I was I would envy you, living a simple life is not as simple as I found. I really admire you! Best regards, Albert 🇳🇱

I love overcast rainy or stormy days too. It slows the world down.
Yes, that’s true!
You have a great sense of humor
Hearing your voice and the raindrops is very soothing
The rain and the ocean and coffee! Great video!
Hi Scott! In the summer, I used to take a chair off the porch and sit in the warm rain. Loved it, crazy child! Keep trucking friend.
Ah, the highlight of my Tuesday morning. Rainy days are cool, but I Love a Rainy Night!
Certainly a very interesting view, I don't mind the rain
Your videos make me smile. Thanks!
Thanks Geo
Linus and pig Pen, Yes ! 😅 Rainy days another yes. I concur on those.

When the Wildlings shoes get really wet, they need some time to dry. A little isn’t an issue as the wool sheds light rain or a quick dunk in a puddle
