Scott, I’ve spoken to you once before, but I had to speak to you again today. I have a disease of the eyes called macular degeneration. I’m going blind. Watching your videos every week is the one thing I look forward Two every week more than I could ever explain. The beauty that you show me is beyond words. I think you from the very bottom of my heart.
Ohhhh myyyy gooooodness!!! What a lovely and charming place !!! Thank you so much for sharing it!!! I would love to live there!!!❤ I can see why it's your favorite place,❣️🤗🙃❤️
Love the town of Mendocino. My husband and I rode the Harley from so humb to Mendocino a few summers back. 100° in so humb to 50° in Mendocino. Been to Jenner, Cazadero, Guerneville, Petaluma. We drove his truck south on 1 is a heck of a drive. The south 1 scared me at Gualala so we turned around that time! Your videos are great Scott - I like the pull off and let them pass- same as I do. Wishing you Peace n Wellness.
I really enjoy your videos. You have such a calmness and it never feels rushed. Absolutely beautiful scenery and I can almost smell the coffee. Have a good sleep!
❤That is Great to have a water Spout! Some States,in Parks have them, along interstate highways! But most interstates have rest stop, but you hve to buy drinks! Good thing you have your Berky!👍👌✌️🤞🙌🙏🇺🇸🌅🌄☀️🌞
Thank you for your last couple of videos. I'm from Northern California and been away for 14 years. I'm homesick. I'm hoping to move back to the coast. These videos have brought me so much joy.❤
So cool that your video popped up on my feed. I just did the Mendocino Coast 50k race today. Mendocino is magical!! The race finishes along the Headlands and on Big River Beach. My first visit there was 2 yrs ago, and I was blown away by the views and the quaint town.
I love Mendocino! My friend is from there, and she is the epitome of all that is Mendocino!❤ She paints watercolors, plays the harp, and volunteers for the weekly neighborhood clean-up and community garden. I've only visited a handful of times when I have been to Fort Bragg to go diving. Wonderful area! January is great for the King Tides! I l9ve watching them! And the sounds! ❤
Breath Takeningly BEAUTIFUL and Life Giving Sustaining Was about to head on over to My Step By Step video Journey When noticed I this a new video up...
...back the next day for the last half of the video. Amazed to learn that there's someone else in this world like me that also gets sleepy after coffee. Craziest thing, I guess.
And so it is each day as The Moments flow forth, turning into Hours... These Moments here made for the Delightful Times in passing this afternoon. Surely this Day well spent in taking in this video of yours Static. Peaceful Blessings
How beautiful Mendocino is, the cliffs, water and surrounding areas. I had in-laws who lived up there now I wish I had gone up to visit them. Scott you're right about stale coffee, I too stay away from buying those. Thanks for sharing out your stay there. ❤
Love the Mendo area, and have stayed at Van Damme more times than I can count. MacKerricher is nice, too. Highway 1 is best traveled going north-the locals travel faster than I do, and the lack of guard rails can be nerve wracking! I’ll be up that way next month, then on to Humboldt Redwoods and Del Norte redwoods parks-wonderful countryside! And so much greener than usual because of the record rains.
Ahh, nice - a video I missed so I have something fun to catch up with. I do so enjoy this day in a life vids. Nice to see where you are, and listen to what you're thinking about.
In the video i watched before this one i told you about kayaking in sea caves and getting hooked on kayaking and guess what? You show us van damme state park and the sea cave tours that got me hooked for life on kayaking. WHAT a coincidence.
That drive is magical…When you get to the redwoods, it takes your breath away…I’ve been there twice, and agree with you that Mendocino feels like home…
Fellow traveler here that enjoys the coastal sights up and down Cali. I too love, love Mendocino. I spend a few weeks in the early fall overnighting in front of the Hotel. Yup, yup it’s the best.
Thanks! To fresh air and coffee!!! BTW, when I think of Mendocino. reminds me of the Frank Zappa song Camarillo Brillo and her Mendocino Bean-o..............
Ah yes, Jenner! Done some kayaking quite often down the Russian to where it empties into the sea at Jenner. Local weather tho is typically overcast and gray. But I think you might enjoy kayaking the area too!
Your drive through the redwoods reminded me of one of my own. My family was in Santa Cruz on vacation at the time. My dad and I took a short drive to Felton to stop at CapriTaurus Dulcimers so I could buy one of their dulcimer kits. The kit came with a walnut body and spruce top, but when I got home a friend said he had some redwood with tight growth rings that would make a great top. So I ended up making a neat redwood dulcimer with walnut body, which reminds me of the drive through the redwoods.
Scott,I liked your video of this preserve and quaint town. I can tell that the river scales and walking trails really resonate with you. You have learned to shop creatively for cooking in your mobile dwelling. I gravitate toward small towns where people are cordial. Its kind of a storybook type town. Enjoy your trips to main streets of the north west. I agree the view are amazing. Take care of yourself and enjoy a cup of static van coffee.
Went to grocery store and bought some groceries and watch you made me check prices on things. Your meals are simple but good. Thank you for sharing you life. I like quite and cool places to stay. Thanks for safety hints.
Totally enjoyed the walk. I really needed it as I'm stuck recovering from round 3 of covid. It feels almost like I got out of the house! Sorry about your coffee. I'm the same way about my tea. Caffeine doesn't affect me either and am very picky about the freshness and taste. Thanks again for the long video this time. It made me feel better.
Oh my gosh, Scott!! My trust factor just went up 10 notches with your Yellowbird recommendation. It's absolutely delicious. No kidding. I'm staying where internet/cell is almost nonexistent and finding anything at this little tiny Walmart requires incense and a prayer. Sure enough..there it was. Yellowbird!!! There's no going back, now. I'll forever be hunting for the Yellowbird.
Scott, this is my favorite town in the world so far, too and the place that feels lie home to me too. Thanks for sharing it. I've been binge watching your videos while I sit in the sub-freezing snow temps in Port Townsend....so ready for an actual adventure, but your videos are lifting my spirits and causing me to yearn to travel soon. Thanks again ~
Great information on the coffee bean being stale, i am impressed that you can taste and smell the difference, also what is this about specialty beans being x-small, didn’t know that either! Thanks Scott ❤
I needed that journey. Thank you so much for taking us through. Oh my gosh, Marker 27:28 was so breathtakingly amazing and 31:46 magnífico....I believe it's the waves. There's just some about nature that draws you into a place of serenity that envelopes your soul with Life and Vitality
PS...always a pleasure to watch your videos. I'm also from SoCal and have been out on the road for about 4 years now. I'm still learning little tricks from you. Your olive oil Tortillas are the bomb!
Don't go near edge! Sometimes thee edges break away, especially when it rains! I went to the edge of a Drs. Driveway,to empty garbage! The wall caved in! I fell forward on front side of my body,5 ft.down!😭😰 thought i broke my wrist! But didn't,had therapy on my hand, back for a month 😔 Nature is so Beautiful, Gorgeous, but bewear!❤🌞💫👍🤞✌️🙌🙏🇺🇸🌅🌄
This is very true! The cliffs are very crumbly and give way all the time. I taught my kids never to go closer to the edge than the length of their body, at the very most.
That was my favorite place on the entire coastline of California. I plan to revisit Mendocino in the late fall. I stayed on the Main Street next to the fence across the street from the hotel. I did all my grocery shopping at Mendosas...even bought hot coffee. Delicious coffee, too. I liked that beach, Van Damme, and actually sat on the large log in your video. The hikes through the Headlands was amazing. I had a skunk visit me one evening. Thank goodness I have solar lights mounted to my roof rack as I stepped to see what activated the two lights I saw the skunk just below my sliding door. Thanks for sharing this incredible vlog.
Extremely beautiful and charming area! Thank you so much for heads up on canned Salmon at Target, 2.39! 😳 I got a coffee first time ever at Del Taco! 🤣 It was Killer good! 🤯 Googled, guess a Mexican bean called Cafe De Olla with a natural brown sugar cinnamon taste? Amazon sells it too. What a shocker. Del Taco coffee! Who woulda' thunk' it? So sorry your coffee is stale. 😣
I always put Cacao nibs in my coffee, and I used to be able to get them at Grocery Outlet for $3.99 and now I can't find them, darn, have to go to Trader Joe's.
Must have bad bach! Ive drank Star buck from 2019& it tastes better than what 5hey have on the shelves today!🌞💫It maybe the package its packed in 🌞💫 Awesome hike, thank you for Sharing 👍👌✌️🙌🙏🇺🇸❤️
The place you are at is so magnificent. Where fresh water and sea meet it is awsome! Mostly, we see the surface of the water and it is a mystery of what lye beneath and what we cannot see. But, nature reveals itself by watching the tiniest of things...the birds/seagulls will gather and bath their feathers in the clean unsalted water "that is where they meet" before mixing into the sea! ...We then can see what we cannot visualize with the naked eye.
Just discovered your channel. I love your videos… binge watching them! Thank you for showing all the beautiful scenery and for taking me into IKEA in another of your videos .. I’ve never been in one. Can’t wait to watch more.

That’s the best compliment. Though I wish the circumstances were different.
Thank you Janis

Hello neighbor, putting on the shoes and talking in that manner is so reminiscent of one of my favorite American icons 😊
Thank you for your last couple of videos. I'm from Northern California and been away for 14 years. I'm homesick. I'm hoping to move back to the coast. These videos have brought me so much joy.❤

Stunning. No wonder you like it so much x
That was a beautiful Sunset, just not the usual kind...
Yes Mendocino is magical. And that puzzled look after you hearing the beep with Damme was pretty funny.
Thank you for sharing us the beautiful place of Mendocino. It is a breath taking view. I enjoyed your video😊❤️

Yaay an American who finally said root (route) instead of rout.
That’s a very quaint and beautiful town.

Loleta is great, as well as Arcata and Crescent City, also Smith River.

Fellow traveler here that enjoys the coastal sights up and down Cali. I too love, love Mendocino. I spend a few weeks in the early fall overnighting in front of the Hotel. Yup, yup it’s the best.
Loved the Van Damme bit haha
It appears that you’re one of only two people to catch that. hahaha
Thanks! To fresh air and coffee!!! BTW, when I think of Mendocino. reminds me of the Frank Zappa song Camarillo Brillo and her Mendocino Bean-o..............
Thanks Ken!
A nice place to drift off to dream land with the sound of the waves, I love the redwoods that was a beautiful drive 😍
I am that coffee drinker as well!!
Ah yes, Jenner! Done some kayaking quite often down the Russian to where it empties into the sea at Jenner. Local weather tho is typically overcast and gray. But I think you might enjoy kayaking the area too!
I laughed every time Van "Damme" got beeped out! I hope to do that same route someday, looks great. Thank you!
It’s worth the drive!
Beautiful 🌲 beautiful ocean drive!!

As a resident of Fort Bragg for the last decade, I really appreciate the that you enjoyed what our area has to offer.
It’s such a great place. I especially like the friendly locals. Thank you

I started buying those olive oil potato chips from TJ’s too. They’re tasty and most importantly affordable 😋

Port Townsend is another gem of a town. Thanks for watching!
Oh my goodness! That scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Living in South Coast Ontario, we see nothing like this, thanks for taking us along with you.
It’s a very special place
That drive was pure magic. I just wish it had lasted a little longer.
That's funny; Damme gets bleeped out every time as if it's a wordy dird. It's super to have almost an hour to hang out vicariously.
Oh my gosh…wow… amazingly spectacular! Awestruck! Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful views!💜
Mendocino and Fort Bragg are about as good as it gets anywhere
Great information on the coffee bean being stale, i am impressed that you can taste and smell the difference, also what is this about specialty beans being x-small, didn’t know that either! Thanks Scott ❤
Beautiful vistas out there.
What a beautiful place Scott, glad you are in your happy place 😊
What an absolutely brilliant place Scott...oh and are you sure you that was the same cookie 😂
Wow, your last vlog from there was memorable for me because of how beautiful it is, glad to see you made it back there. Soak in those ions 🌊

I don't know ... that definitely looked like a new cookie!!!!!
Lovely video Scott, you’re very thoughtful… thank you … I’m trying to watch all the commercials
Thank you
Beautiful place to nomad. You could replace the door seal. Easy fix Universal door seal about 42cents per foot.
Oh, there’s nothing wrong with the door seal. I simply didn’t shut the door properly
PS...always a pleasure to watch your videos. I'm also from SoCal and have been out on the road for about 4 years now. I'm still learning little tricks from you. Your olive oil Tortillas are the bomb!
Happy to hear the tortilla recipe is working for you. I appreciate you watching!
Loved the video!
I love listening to rushing waves, too!
🙂👍
Nice video! Watched it twice. Fantastic views, great information, & good energy. Thanks for sharing.
Better weather than here ( s/w Ontario) rain 24 hour 🙄 ATB Scott 🙏🏼
Wow! Congratulations on being able to get closer - you got great scenery! Bummer about the coffee though. You chose a lovely little town.

Del Taco for coffee? That’s great to hear!
I love that beach and that area of Mendocino. Glass Beach in Fort Bragg is another favorite and I feel the need to get back there! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful place... beautiful sunset 🌆
My Sister was like that! Coffee at night made her go to sleep 😴
Thank you for sharing your special place! I have a few of these and I treasure them. Most of my special places are along the Oregon Coast.

Beautiful area. My wife and I used to ride our Harley from Lakeport to Pointe arena lighthouse.
That must be a fun ride
What a lovely place, thanks for sharing it Scott!
Watching this again… so beautiful…
Thank you
By the way, Mendocino is the town where the film "East of Eden" with James Dean was filmed.
Happy Mother Earth Gaia day😊😘
Yes yes so. Beautiful
