Great video Static. I learned 3 new facts today: 1) "Cheap as chips." 2) Cheese sandwich, ungrilled. 3) An amazing view of Mt Rainier exists in a Target parking lot. Fantastic!
Oh my goodness ten hour drive... Yes a good time to take a few days to rest up and get the small odd jobs done Just want to share by saying the lovely blue in print shirt looks nice. The black or dark grey always looks good, yet this becomes your eye color... Really lovely
I like driving far whenever I have something on my mind. I resigned from my job in 2007 & moved to Seattle. I lived on Juneau Street then I moved to Auburn. I was surprised that there's lots of snow & very warm summers. I love Rainier Cherries and yes I went to Mount Rainier as well.
I moved from NorCal a year ago to Puerto Vallarta - I showed your vlogs to my Mexican GF to show what it's like where I come from, she was absolutely fascinated by your content.....as I was fascinated watching her watch LoL !
I love West Seattle. It’s got everything. When I’ve stayed in Seattle I also liked the Magnolia neighborhood. Very quiet and has a huge park with hiking trails.
Yeah, it's got everything except a fucking sensible way to get there. Bridge: Sept! (maybe) Having lived at Alki years ago- I don't miss the traffic, noise, car racing, one ways, or beach riff-raff. Magnolia is nice and so affordable!; NOT! j/k, the deadness will make you want to have more kids!
It’s super cool seeing Seattle. I’ve never been to WA or OR. I enjoy seeing your healthy food choices. A cheese sandwich is MY very favorite sandwich, also! Sometimes I like Brie with thinly sliced apples but usually just cheese, mayo & bread. With chips or fries maybe. Forget about it!! 🥪🥪💯✅
Wow 😮. Just starting to watch this. 👏 Summer 2019, drove 14 hours, mostly on I-5, from Neah Bay, Washington to Citrus Heights, California in one day. Beyond exhausted. 🥱
Great video, love to see the mountain. You’re right it is very noisy there. Quite the drive you had. Thanks for taking us along, stay safe on the roads.
Scott, Your making a sound decision to return to a city that you know where it interfaces well with your mobile dwelling lifestyle. Your very thoughtful in advance of dilemmas becoming a crisis. Every city has its own culture and ambience. Always nice to shop where you like the brand and can get grocery items that you love. Glad to see you in Seattle, love the area and to see Mt. Ranier. Can’t wait to see your dispersed camping spots! Oh yeah Cheap as Chips is said all the time along with Fine as Frog’s hair
I drive a converted 2018 PMC in Florida. I've been to Seattle 4 times in my life. Last time I was there was May of 2018 for a business conference (before the world was turned upside down). I flew into San Fran and I splurged on a Dodge Challenger with a Hemi for a week and drove the 1 north really slow over 3 days - stopped at Mendocino, Redwood National, Cannon Beach. The Oregon coast line did not disappoint. I bought a giant sandwich from Safeway when I left and ate it for lunch at ocean front rest stops 3 days in a row and somehow it stayed fresh in the trunk.
I live in West Seattle. I love it. It's the sane part of Seattle. I also want to mention I did the Seattle /San Diego run in my Scion XA in 12 hours. A half hour less than Google Maps.
I like being in cities that I am familure with. Less stress of having to figure everything out. I think Seattle would take me a minute but would be worth it. I would love to take in the art scene.
Seattle is a great city to live and visit. This is the first time you've looked really relaxed and happy in a long while. Welcome back to Washington state. Thanks for always sharing.
Just now watching this vid.....as a road truck driver, I just don't have all the time to spare. But umm, I am here as a fan of your channel for the longhaul man! I enjoy your content immensely! I feel really good about supporting you and your channel.....I am NOT going anywhere dude! 😀😀😀
I just discovered your videos last week, and I’ve been watching ever since. Thank you. You remind me a lot of Jeff Blum. I just purchased a carbon steel pan and I love it.

Welcome back to Washington! I love driving, but that's a lot of driving in one day. I just drove from Brookings Oregon up to Seattle. Almost nine hours
Welcome home.... saying hi from Ballard/Golden Gardens/Sunset Hill. We are having a warm summer right now. We've had many over 80 days. We had 90+ days a few weeks ago.
I love my cheese and mayo sandwiches, mostly grew up here in Washington, a plunger in a bucket will work for small loads of clothes. Mt Rainier is great no matter what side view you see. Sometimes you can find DOL with mailboxes, the one at grandmound exit 88 I-5, only costs 8.50 for small or 10 for larger per month, no deposit. Safe and secure in those places and cheaper than UPS Stores by far at $75 for 3 mo.
Yeah, if you go with USPS POB be sure to click on all the locations in the area because the pricing is not the same. More popular ones are more expensive. If you are getting a lot of mail and packages it's a good deal. Get the 6 mo or yearly plan, you'll be refunded if you close it sooner. I pick up mail once a month. Plus you can sign up for informed delivery where you'll see what's arrived. Most pob are 24 hour access.
I think you had a need to get back to some familiarity, to a place that you've once lived and that you know. What else did we learn ? We learned to stay away from the big city and that you like sandwiches....hehe. Thanks for showing us some of the areas around Seattle. Looking forward to some disperse camping vids. Take care and enjoy your stay up there.
Hey Scott... Glad you made it back to Washington state. I was born in Seattle.... So I guess that you could say I'm a native. I live about 100 miles south of Seattle now. Seattle area has sure changed from when I grow up. Lot's of cool places here in the Northwest Olympic peninsula, North Cascades, Mt. Rainer.
Hi Scott! Truly majestic view of the mountain. You seemed to be so excited to be back. How great that you could finally get your water filters and have them conveniently sent to a locker. Now it’s to getting them in and working on your fan. Have you been to that space needle? Is that what it’s called? There’s nothing like being back to living in comfort and familiar surroundings worry free. Good for your decision to make the long drive as it was worth it. Enjoy 😊
BTW: Pike Place, Seattle, where REI was born in 1938. It was located at Pike Place for decades. Today the newer REI "Mother Store" as it's known is still nearby, closer to the Space Needle. But I digress... NICE VIDEO!

Another beautiful place, lots of beautiful scenery, Target and Mt. Rainer as a breathtaking backdrop, life is good. I may order sourdough bread from Amazon, ha, ha. Glad you are looking fit and trim after an exhausting 10 hr. drive. I like your T-shirt, it looks new. Hope you find a great deal on cargo pants. I have 2 friends visiting me from my hometown and it is a struggle to be upbeat and cheerful. Your video has cheered me up and encouraged me to laugh at myself more and not be so uptight. There’s a lot of cool stuff in Snohomish County. I really like the bike path from Snohomish to Arlington. Everett is a mix, there is definitely some parts that are a bit rough around the edges, but there’s some nice stuff there too.

Greeting from the central coast of Calif. I'm surprised and not surprised ur back in the Northwest. I'm thinking ur job concerns has a lot to do with being back in Seattle. Now u have to deal with the weather but its easy for u find places to park at night. Funny you should mention Rite Aid for Amazon delivers. Lately the Amazon lockers I use at Rite Aide here on the coast haven't come up. Also thanks for the info on Jack Block Park in west Seattle. My rig is a 25 ft step van and its always a pain to park in Seattle proper. I was in Seattle Sept and Oct 2021 and I didn't even try to go into Seattle proper. Mainly parked in the Edmonds area. Didn't even bother heading over to the Georgetown area because of all the hobo rigs and the problems that those folks are creating. Hope things work out for u in Seattle. 👍
You know...not long ago it crossed my mind that you were far more consistently cheerful in Seattle and relishing the day-to-day luxuries. In California, especially San Diego, you were often vacation-kind of cheerful but also more tense generally.
Often my on-camera self can be misleading as there are many things rolling around in my slow working brain. Lots to juggle while talking and recording video.
@@StaticCamperVan I only have ever seen you when talking and juggling video, so... 🤷♀️ Personally, I am slip sliding into my second childhood, so there's no telling what I'll be like in any given moment lately. 😏

Hello 👋!
👋🏼
You know...not long ago it crossed my mind that you were far more consistently cheerful in Seattle and relishing the day-to-day luxuries. In California, especially San Diego, you were often vacation-kind of cheerful but also more tense generally.
Often my on-camera self can be misleading as there are many things rolling around in my slow working brain. Lots to juggle while talking and recording video.
@@StaticCamperVan I only have ever seen you when talking and juggling video, so... 🤷♀️
Personally, I am slip sliding into my second childhood, so there's no telling what I'll be like in any given moment lately. 😏
