- Two pianos face off in a Synthesia-like battle simulation I created with Unity. This is my first time making a game like this involving so much RNG. I didn't do a great job balancing everything so I had to do over 80 recording attempts before I got this run.

How the game works:
Players are split up into two teams (yellow name signifies tier 2+ patron) Each side has a yellow spawn trigger that must collide with an incoming note block. The trigger flap has a cooldown timer, which can be reduced by the yellow powerups. After the player spawns, they bounce down the plinko board and eventually collide with a key. This "selects" the key, as indicated by the colored line. When the ball touches a powerup box at the bottom of the screen, it carries it to the selected key and colors the key accordingly. From that point on, every time the key is pressed its powerup will activate. If your team destroys the enemy piano you win 200 points for the leaderboard.

This is one of the most intense battles i've ever seen... The suspense when the blue started catching up because of the 0.0 timer and the stalemate when both were at full hp. Purple just obliterated because of good RNG on attack/heal.
7:03 I really just walked out in to no mans land to be ruthlessly taken out
This was amazing, and such a fantastic idea
However I would have put a short 10 second rules screen before it started, because for the first whole minute I had no clue what was going on

This is amazing, even though I’m completely lost as of to what’s going
SPOILERS:
The left/pink side definitely got out to an early lead, getting some well-positioned (aka hit a lot during the song) attacking keys early and lowering blue's health, and pretty much maintained that advantage through the whole duel. However, blue team got their spawner down to zero delay way earlier, and was able to get some healing keys mid-game that helped them hang on for a long time. The well-timed pink shield at the end, absorbing a ton of blue team attacks while letting pink heal to full, helped seal the deal though.
Slowly but surely carving out the meta
However despite blues opportunities Pinks guns flooded the center of the field. Even with blues counter of excessive self Regen a problem came about. All their homies got shot trying to collect more stuff for them.
Less paytreons meant less rewards meaning Pink kept growing and developing partly thanks to some well placed walls to protect against the worst firepower of blues collection.
Also, there were more short and fast notes on pink's side. It seems like long notes doesn't affect whatever item or power they got for the key, so blue was at a disadvatage before it even started

So the fact that one piano got bonus resources in the main key is one element.
But the other got it two octaves away. In the base notes.

This is an interesting take on the marble simulation scene! The keys being the activation method for abilities, the patron marbles having the ability to interact directly with the enemy, plus the catapult was a fun thing to watch as it casts many marbles into the plinko machine.
That being said, a balance suggestion I would make is to have a music piece that could use the breadth of the piano, or narrow what keys could have abilities attached to them. The extremes were hardly played and were left a little pointless to have. The slope to the bottom for the abilities could also be a tad steeper so the marbles could roll faster. But overall, really well done with a first attempt!
Once I have this kind of random battles or races all over my yt recommendations but suddenly they dissappear, I'm glad that the video thar maybe bring them back is this, never saw this kind of piano battles and it was awesome and really fun :) I'm a musician and Maybe that made it even more interesting

Idk what’s happening but it’s surprisingly entertaining to watch
i have never learnt so much about music theory in such a short period of time
Despite left's obvious advantage as the melody, right did make some good headway at times; unfortunately for right, however, raw statstics won out in the end.
Explanation of each move:
Alarm clock: Reduces cooldown of clock to produce a patron
Grid: Makes a piano key create a small block when played which can block a bullet from a gun-enchanted keys bullet, but gets destroyed in the process. Enemy patrons break blocks infinitely without dying.
Gun: Makes a piano key create a bullet when played which takes 1 HP from the enemy piano if not blocked by a block. Bullets can also kill patrons.
Question mark: Creates a wall blocking enemy fire where the enemy is the team attacking the team with the patron who got the question mark.
HP: Makes a piano key heal 1HP to the team with the enchanted key.

Thinking about how you might have made this is fun. There are many elements of this that work so well to make the battle actually interesting! I wonder if you had to do a few runs with randomised powerups before it ran long enough to be usable...

Never seen a channel giveback to the patrons so hard.
I can see how blue has more health keys than the opponent, that is how they can survive enemy attacks while placing the attack keys in the middle means they can attack the enemy even more.
Also they have more blockers on thir side.

the best part of this video is Doodle didn't have to make a patron minigame for the ending. the video IS the patron minigame
i like the idea, it would be very interesting to see how its behavior using the twitch chat in real time like take off decisions with a few seconds between other things, this with the finality of have fun between streamers and their communities

If you want to do such a battle again you could team up with MIKAN. They make a lot of these battle like marble race, the newer ones are also made with Unity like yours.
