I dunno man. If you actually make a better machine you'll have taken up 2 spots in the 7 wonders of the world, and that's just too much power for one man to have.
Absolutely deserved though, and I can only imagine how great it feels to have something you worked so hard on legitimately get the recognition it deserves. What an inspiration.

The most crazy part about it is that it isn't just the most elaborate music box. There is a need for the player to actively play the guitar, pull the correct levers at the correct time, and then there is intermission. This is not just a feat of engineering but also a true display of skill.

Wintergatan is the embodiment of that (for the most part)...BUT, I love coming back to this from time to time and it reminds me to check in on the progress.

This is exactly how I feel. It’s so hard to put into words, but this version of the machine just has that charming, whimsical vibe. The imperfections are what makes it such a magical experience to hear it produce beautiful music. It feels as though it shouldn’t even be possible, and yet, somehow, each component just barely functions enough for the machine to work. A perfect version would be too clinical, it loses that charm and whimsy.

+Dual Edge Gaming I agree, as well. In fact, I find most of the comments irrelevant because they don't address the pure focus, and creativity it took to envsion, much less, construct a device like this. Maybe this is why I rarely comment on sites, and just forward links to people of stuff I think is cool, and they might find the same joy I did watching this.

+pacalou100 The dislike option lets you see exactly what percentage of people dislike a particular thing they are seeing...
Instead of going by negative comments, which can be over-represent the negative, you can see that less than 0.5% of people dislike this particular thing...
Considering it's hard to get 99.5% of people to agree on something, I would consider that an unqualified success...
