    Q: Why isn´t the Marble Machine on the stage?
    A: Apart from not really being transportable, the Marble Machine does not work well enough to be used on stage for the moment, too many design mistakes combined prohibits that. BUT! We are going to build a full sized Marble Machine 2.0 that we can tour with in the future. First we are going to record our new album and release that, after the release we will build the new modular Marble Machine 2.0. And then we will tour the world with the new record and the new Machine!

    I, Martin, can already sustain myself 100% doing what I love to do. With that said, I have too many ideas and too little time and with your support I can get more help from people around me to execute the ideas better and bring them out in the world faster.

    • @Gremlins422
      @Gremlins422 7 лет назад +2

      I hope the Marble Machine 2.0 has "proper" drums. Having them recorded individually and edited seems like a bit of a cheap shortcut to having a one man band instrument.

    • @kauhanen44
      @kauhanen44 7 лет назад +4

      if you got a normal drum, it could break if you dropped a marble on it.

    • @MrMattsung
      @MrMattsung 7 лет назад +5

      The marble mass needed would be pretty big, as well as the space for a giant bass drum inside.

    • @Gremlins422
      @Gremlins422 7 лет назад +1

      I'm sure the drop height could be adjusted to account for that

    • @MrMattsung
      @MrMattsung 7 лет назад +3

      Johan Krooneman You would then risk high pressures on the skin of the drum to produce that sound. Same reason why large drums (bass, and a few 28" toms) are played using felt tipped mallet instead of a regular stick.

    • @Mr_Foeko
      @Mr_Foeko 7 лет назад +41

      This is a great song for a bassist though, because the repetitive melody the bass can do practically whatever he wants.

    • @ericdahl4012
      @ericdahl4012 7 лет назад +19

      But he's playing a part that was originally sequenced, so his job is specifically the opposite of playing whatever he wants. He is supposed to be a robot.

    • @jarydmorbis7528
      @jarydmorbis7528 7 лет назад +47

      +Eric Dahl the bass was only partially sequenced. The bass strings were fretted by hand while the marbles actually plucked the strings in a set order. So the bassist would still have much more freedom than the the others as the only thing strict is the rhythm.
