Line Rider Race #2 - Who will survive Flight of the Valkyries?

- I've synchronized The Flight of the Valkyries (by Richard Wagner) to 8 Line Riders racing down the track for victory. Choose your team color and cross your fingers. All lines were drawn by hand. My favorite color is green, so surely they'll win right? Or am I using reverse psychology? Or am I using reverse reverse psychology, or am I using reverse reverse reverse rever.....

People have been asking me how I did the 3D intro at the beginning. If you'd like to make 3D cinematic shots of your own Line Rider tracks, you can download the blender file here: / 66882300 .
First, download the "LineRiderBlenderConverter.zip" file attached to this post and unzip it.
Then simply open the LineRiderConverter.blend file (I'm using Blender version 3.1.2), and go to the scripting tab. Replace the trackFilepath = 'F:\CurrentProjects\LineRiderRace2\Example.track.json' with the path to your desired line rider track and run the script with the play button in the scripting tab of blender. Viola, you have now converted the track json to Blender grease pencil lines, allowing you to manipulate and render them in any way you desire!

@@Ji_soe Alas, simple doesn't equate easy. A lot of complex things we see in life can comprise very simple rules, for example, complex systems like firefly light signaling and synchronization.

Revenge is a dish best served cold
After the cold betrayal of Yellow by snatching the win from Red, he HAD to set a tone, and did so by dumping a Glacier of ICE on yellow with that move
He left us there as well without a jacket at the least
And yellow did betray green aswelll

absolutely jaw dropping ! all of the riders did excellently this year, as always. it is fascinating to see their passion for the sport! luckily as we all know there is a little line rider ambulance juuuust off screen to tend to any sustained injuries. good game :+)

I also admire the red team`s training routine if they can win twice in a row. As a blue team fan i root against them but i can still appreciate a strong performance.
The annual Musical Ride event is better than ever! The competition is spicy and the music is grand! Cant wait for next year!
Honesty, I’m surprised hear after year the amount of dedication and skill that these athletes put into this sport, truly amazing as they dance along the lines this year.

Revenge? Collaboration? Allies and Betrayal? Complete with backstory and a final twist!

I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into keeping every rider in the race, making sure they showed up at the right time, swapped sleds at the right time, fell off the tracks, landed on each other, all while staying synchronized with the music.

I love how beautifully choreographed your Line Rider maps are. Journeying across them is so exciting that my eyes stay glued to the screen till the very end.

I picked yellow at the start and was disappointed when they fell off early. I didn't know they could get back on! It was a rollercoaster. I'm happy with 2nd place!
I love how you explored the element of surprise here, because when you think: "Oh! That team is gone!", the team immediately comes back to the race.

Every time I saw one fall off I went "Okay, that's one gone so my team is gonna", but as soon as I saw; for the first time after having played this game nearly a decade ago, the little riders get back on their sleds I lost my mind. Anyways, this video is amazing and I'm glad this showed up in feed!
Imagine all those sledders, nervously waiting at the starting line and the designer walks up: "Do you trust me?"

This a fantastic way to get children [and adults] to hear classical music while watching something that will hold their interest. In the very old days, the cartoons had classical music in them, which is how I developed a love for classical music. WELL DONE!

When you calculate the amount of time it took to create this, do you use hours, weeks, or years?
Had this randomly in my recommendations. Gotta say this is really cool. Also reminds me of old flash games where you had to draw a line through the levels to get your character across, dodging hazards and drops while collecting stuff. Super fluid animation too, I really enjoyed this. This specific video also taught me about a couple notes/sounds I didn't realize were in this song before as well so that was a bonus.
The skill here is impressive and this was a delight to watch. Excellent creation of tension.

Thank you! It's a lot of time split up over multiple months. I averaged about 2 hours of LR creative output per day before I'd run out of steam, which would result in only a few seconds of added video time per day.
