I can't believe I willingly spent 4' 12 of my life watching a marble roll and was actually captivated by it.
I can. I remember spending hoouurs playing with MarbleWorks as a kid. Or the marble machine displayed at a furniture store in my grandparents' hometown.
ikr 4 foot 12 inches is a lot of time
It's because you phrased it as something not worthy of time when you actually spent 4 minutes watching a masterpiece of creativity and ingenuity that cost hours of thinking and trying again stuff in different angles
@@nidleyy 😂😂
Four foot twelve inches

The silver balls are literally the physical version of: "You're just a character God uses for someone else's character development,"
Wow somebody found an actual use for a fidget spinner! Haha
Fidget spinners, as with all the other "fidget" items, always had the use of keeping people's fingers busy, since a lot of people actively need that sort of stimulation to keep them calm, creative or focused. Think of how people fondle pens while presenting something or spin them around a little while thinking about a difficult problem.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
-Robert Frost
The road not taken by robert frost
But that's not what the poem's about. It considers the crossroads in hindsight, and with a bit of regret. One does not say, "I shall be telling this with a sigh," when one is content with one's life choices. The word "difference" does not have an innate positive connotation, though that is how we so often use it not. It simply means that it is the element that has made Frost's life different from what could have been. It is a poem that indicates some regret for his choice of an unused road, and actually encourages some conformity.
Not cool, Robert Frost.
roguishpaladin you’re quite right. It was written by him as a satirical poem about his friend who was very indesicive. In the end, his friend died because he joined the army.

0:58 my brain went :O when the block fell like that, a second later realized it's magnetic
It isn’t magnetic, it is only a domino. It is on a slanted table, though, so the marble and the domino will both lose energy due to friction. The spikes do make it seem like a wall, though.

The ball bearings didn't have much of a character arc.
Oh my god this was fantastic. You already know how much I love your 2D physics tricks, but this took it to the next level. Each one of these clips was extremely impressive, particularly the ones that relied heavily on timing. I think my favorite one is the one where the metal ball hits out only the yellow ball, bookended by two orange balls (the one with the fidget spinner). Plus the fact that each one is a one-ball path, which makes everything even more impressive. Do you have any plans to do a machine not on the whiteboard? A 3D machine, if you will?
